As great as Dirt 5's presentation may be, the gameplay is lacking. It looks and sounds incredible at times, but there isn't too much engaging content here to challenge players to do more and perform better as the driver. That changes if you're primarily racing against friends online or offline, but as a single-player experience, it feels flat once you peek under the flashy hood. It's fun for a few races at a time, and it's easy to jump in, but it's even easier to drop once you've had your fill.

Dirt 5 is similar to Project CARS 3 with its arcade racing style - just with a larger focus on rally racing. The style absolutely works in Dirt 5, offering up accessible rally racing to anyone interested in getting behind the wheel. Of course, the drive is what you make it. So should you want to become a master racer to take on other skilled players online, that option is also easily available to you so long as you're willing to put in the time.

DIRT 5 is the fun one in the DiRT family now – this is the racing game you boot up when you want to have a great time without really thinking about much else. It’s funny, coming from the seriousness of DiRT 4, to see just how much has changed in three years.

Dirt 5 doesn’t come screaming around the corner as a definitive next-gen spectacle, but it’s still pure racing junk food with a confident swagger that I’m happy to gorge on any day of the week. It’s a V8 hooligan with a devil may care attitude, familiar to wrap your thumbs around, and a fantastic distraction when you’re looking to get some mud on your face.

I’m a big fan of Dirt 5. It’s not going to garner the praise of a Gran Turismo or a Forza, but it’s exactly the kind of game I was after. It’s fun, easy to get into, full of variety, looks pretty, and features cars that slide beautifully around corners. Dirt 5 is a feel-good game at feel-bad time, which is about the best time for it to exist.

Difficult to love due to some glaring racing game omissions and zero innovation, DIRT 5 nevertheless entertains with its simplistic arcade handling, fine circuit designs and some delightful visual treats.

you cant say forza horizon or dirt. forza horizon is incomparable with this **** this game is dirt. isnt forza its dirt and dirt isnt very very good game!i just good game

There are two parts to this game. The first are the official tracks themselves, amd from those that i've played, they're well made, and quite fun. However, the community-made tracks all feel quite hashed together, but that may be because of limited building resources. It can be fun though, so I reccomend this one.

Pretty fun racing game for 2 players, but aside from that, it doesn't offer anything great. Driving model/physics can sometimes be pretty unpredictible

Dos DiRTs que já joguei achei o mais fraco e um detalhe negativo é que com ele meu controle do PS5 começou a dar os drifts. Praticamente perdi o controle.

Okay arcade racer, but the wheels really bug me... they are completely fake looking circles that are perfectly parallel and do not emulate real wheels. In general, this is truly a step back visually compared to Driveclub. The lack of rally races is a disgrace to the Dirt name. PS4 Pro's performance options have frame drops and stutters in some tracks, so the real questions I have are "Was this game optimized for PS4 Pro?" &/or "What was the purpose of a performance mode if it is sub-optimal?" Anyway, beg for remasters of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit -> Need For Speed Underground 2 for "good" arcade racing experiences.
