Even if Bungie backtracks on some of these horrendous missteps, there’s evidence that the dev team is either flailing around without a clear idea of the experience they want to present, or even worse, they’re happy to offer the least amount of mediocre content possible until the player base starts pushing back. When free-to-play titles like Warframe and Let it Die seem monumentally more generous and offer vastly more entertainment value than a triple-A sixty dollar release built with a budget large enough to feed whole continents, it’s clear that something has gone horribly wrong.
It’s this sense of streamlined player experience that really defines Destiny 2. Where the first game had you grinding for hours just to experience increasingly diminishing returns, this is a sequel that trims away its processor’s frustrations, firmly putting fun first.
Destiny 2 is tough to compare to other shooters or games, but it is evidently a better title than part 1. The campaign is longer, the progression makes more sense, the structure is more satisfying and the sheen and splendor on the various planets entices even more. Destiny is comparable with its predecessor after the add-on The Taken King, and is therefore a more solid foundation for the coming months of content.

A genuinely fun game to play with friends. However, the grind is awful and the raids take waaaaay too long. It's like a lifestyle that I do not have enough time for.

Destiny 2 is an epic: a story with an ever expanding scale made greater by the heroes of whom the story is told with tragedy, struggle, and redemption. It is very fitting that the score to accompany it must be, too. And it is. There were moments that I had to put the controller down and simply listen, taking in the scope of what I was experiencing.

Lessons were learnt and learnt well. The looming Darkness has not consumed Bungie at this point in time. Quite the contrary. Destiny 2 is the glorious self-rez fans have been praying for. Stop orbiting it and dive in, today.

There’s a lot to enjoy here both solo and as a co-op experience. Any fan of Destiny 1 should take a look at this game, and anyone that has had interest in it but hasn’t pulled the trigger on it just yet should rest easy knowing that while it has a few issues here and there, Destiny 2 is a great game that champions over the first game in so many ways. I highly suggest it to both FPS and RPG fans alike.

Although Destiny 2 requires quite a lot of grinding, the whole process doesn't really feel like a chore since there are so many varied activities that you'll rarely do the same thing twice in a month (unless it's a weekly activity, or you really want to). First and foremost, Destiny 2 does not frustrate players by placing parts of the end game under hard to achieve power level requirements. There's plenty of loot to gain and, more importantly, you're actually having fun while obtaining it.

Worth Playing
The story and gameplay mechanics have greatly improved, and it sports many graphical upgrades. It's unfortunate that the enemy AI isn't more challenging, but for this franchise, the fun will always come from the end-game content. As long as players understand and accept that, they should snap up this sequel and prepare for another long adventure.

Ambitious, Addictive, and Sometimes Aggravating Destiny 2 is the kind of game that shows flashes of brilliance but can’t always maintain its momentum. As a first-person shooter, it’s easily one of the best in the genre—tight mechanics, satisfying feedback, and some of the most creative enemy designs and environments you’ll see. Bungie clearly hasn’t lost its touch when it comes to **** campaign is a step up from the first game, offering a more structured and cinematic experience. But once the story wraps up, Destiny 2 settles into a familiar pattern of grinding, gear-chasing, and seasonal resets. Sometimes it feels rewarding. Other times, it feels like **** social aspect shines when playing with friends. Raids and high-level content can be thrilling, with real coordination and team synergy. But solo players may find the experience more uneven, and the barrier to entry for endgame activities can feel punishing without a consistent fireteam. The evolving “live-service” nature of the game is both its strength and its biggest flaw. On one hand, Bungie constantly updates the game with new weapons, quests, and tweaks. On the other, content is often locked behind paywalls, removed entirely, or rebalanced in ways that alienate parts of the community. Final Verdict: Destiny 2 is still one of the most mechanically sound shooters around, and when everything clicks, it's a blast. But it’s also inconsistent, grind-heavy, and burdened by the live-service model. A great time for the dedicated, but less forgiving for the rest. 7/10 – Strong core gameplay wrapped in a frustrating, fluctuating structure.

Destiny 2 launch was very puzzling it was a grindy mess with no replay value worse gameplay worse content and an overly cinematic story and a dumb villain called Gary who wanted to **** the light or whatever the traveller went boom and turned him into jelly it made no sense it was boring and tedious had some good moments with cayde and the almighty missions the soundtrack was good only beaten by forsaken the final shape and d1 launch and had no end game outside of leviathan which was a good raid but not amazing about as good as vault of glass but the lack of replay value public event grind and lack of god rolls made it mid/bad
