It’s clear that Deep Rock Galactic managed to transfer its charisma even into this genre detour. Survivor, however, achieves far more than a simple spin-off. Beneath the familiar façade of space dwarves lies a cleverly designed game unafraid to demand precision and persistence. A well-built progression system and meaningful upgrades make it strikingly hard to put down. Forget the vampires: the age of stone and rubble has arrived. The king is dead; long live the king.

If you're a fan of the broad "bullet heaven" genre, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is undoubtedly one of the best games in this category, thanks to its breadth of offerings and overall well-thought-out gameplay. It's a shame there are a few minor stumbles overall, but nothing that seriously compromises the quality of the final offering. And it's all at a truly competitive price.

A fine addition to a young genre, Survivor adds smart twists, most notably its level-based structure; however, unlike the mainline Deep Rock Galactic, it’s single-player only.

The game is addictive, fun, I didn't find a bug for now, extremely exhaustive but stay simple, no need to buy things. It's great when played with friends

Vampire Survivors but with the Deep Rock Galactic Dwarfs and universe. Very addicting just like Vampire Survivors especially as you get further in levels sweeping through bugs. The big differentiator beyond artstyle and universe is the ability to mine minerals to use as currency while moving into the next floor. This helps boost your power with the valuable upgrades you can buy, but if you get too greedy you might get swarmed as you mine with no way out. The same goes for the supply pods, giving you something to work towards as a mini-boost before the main boss of the floor. Some minerals can also be used to upgrade outside levels to boost your base stats and you gain XP as you play, unlocking more upgrades from supply drops. There's a lot going on but you are constantly improving as you play even when you die, making it incredibly easy to click that restart button and play one more time.
My only gripe has been the gear you can unlock and equip before a level that add bonuses. It feels like another system to manage that doesn't feel as important and you forget until it asks about your loadout. The game does have an auto-set option to make it easy, but if the system wasn't in place I don't think it would hurt the game. Easily makes the bundle with the main Deep Rock Galactic game worth it. Deep Rock Galactic is fun enough alone and really good with friends, but Survivor feels like the real Deep Rock singleplayer game mode.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor doesn’t necessarily revolutionize its genre, but it doesn’t need to. With this entry in the action roguelike autoshooter genre, Funday Games has created a delightfully enjoyable game that will keep you coming back for more.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is more than just another Vampire Survivors clone—it’s a faithful spin on the co-op classic that carries over its humor, class personality, and suffocating cave atmosphere. The lack of camaraderie stings, and the grind and balance issues get rough in the endgame, but the core loop of digging, shooting, and upgrading never stops being fun. For fans of either genre, it’s an easy recommendation.

Auto Shooter, set in the proven Dwarven Universe, already offers a complete package, with hordes of creatures and rare resources to discover underground. However, the difficulty level is high, and the repetition of biomes and missions unnecessarily and artificially extends the game's scope.

Rock and stone! But this time it’s from a different view. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor does a great job of capturing the look and feel of Deep Rock Galactic while mostly going a different way in terms of gameplay. The loop of killing thousands of bugs, gathering valuable resources and building your perfect space dwarf on each run and in between is incredibly satisfying. If you are completely new to the genre or even Deep Rock then everything might be a bit too complicated and messy at the beginning. The menus could be cleaner and offer a better overview. This is luckily not too bad because the gameplay feels great and makes Survivor one of those games that make you go for just one more run to unlock that upgrade. Again. And again. And again.

Love it. The variety is huge.
Although it may seem excessively difficult at first, it is quite easy to become extremely **** once you understand the process, it becomes almost too easy. But until you reach that point, you will have a lot of fun. That's why I only give it an 8/10, because the replay value leaves something to be desired for me, as it just becomes too easy.
