Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for Switch 2 blends nostalgic charm with modern polish, offering an emotional, music-driven journey that rewards players willing to experiment rather than chase perfection. Playing them back to back feels like night and day: Final Fantasy X delivers a deep, emotionally driven story, while Final Fantasy X-2 trades that depth for a fast-paced battle system and a looser, non-linear structure. A great entry point for newcomers to the series and a nostalgic experience for fans.

Helix: Descent N Ascent draws you in with enchanting visuals of a mysterious, alien black and white world. The seemingly simple gameplay mechanics are quickly revealing hidden depth, both in the main path and more hidden mysteries along the way. While it won’t challenge hardcore puzzle lovers, it serves as a well-rounded entry point for any curious players.

Kusan: City of Wolves delivers fast, stylish twin-stick action with challenging levels, satisfying upgrades and a striking comic-book presentation. Its high difficulty can occasionally frustrate, but precise controls and rewarding combat make it a strong alternative to larger blockbuster releases.

Especially in co-op mode and on higher difficulty settings, the campaign - along with the three solidly crafted bonus missions - proves to be an entertaining challenge for genre fans. The gunplay remains characteristically strong, gameplay additions like the nine extra weapons integrate seamlessly, and the Skulls serve as exciting modifiers that encourage further campaign playthroughs. On the downside, the enemy AI hasn't evolved enough after nearly two decades and a half, and more destructible environmental objects would have created some fresh "wow" moments. It is also frustrating that split-screen mode remains exclusive to consoles. All in all, it is a good - yet not perfect - remake that we recommend, particularly to co-op enthusiasts and anyone wanting to experience a piece of shooter history with a modern presentation.

With its focus on the solo campaign (which also supports co-op play), Splatoon Raiders sets itself apart significantly from its predecessors. The game compensates for the potential downside of lacking a competitive aspect with its spectacular mass battles, diverse weapons, cool gadgets, and motivating progression system. All in all, it delivers a high-quality experience that action fans on the Switch 2 will find hard to pass up.

The Mound: Omens of Cthulhu is unfortunately an uneven experience. Its best moments combine tense survival horror where your perception is as much as an enemy as the countless monsters. However, performance issues, unpredictable difficulty spikes and unfair random generation keep dragging the experience down repeatedly. The result is a game with a lot of potential, but that never gets over the feeling of being released into Early Access rather than a full release.

Denshattack! is a blast from the past when we seemingly got another extreme sports game every other month. Besides its silly premise it is a very fun and competent game of that genre though. It looks great, offers chill beats to make crazy tricks to and has a lot of content if you are into replaying levels again and again to complete a checklist and get medals. The tracks are often a bit too crazy and it is very hard to sightread them on a first try and the added crazy effects don’t help that fact one bit. It is still a great game if you don’t mind the absurd story, premise and failing again and again because you don’t know what is actually going on.

Moss: The Forgotten Relic delivers a charming adventure with memorable characters, clever puzzles, and a wonderfully told story. While its hero's journey is familiar, its beautiful world, unique atmosphere, and outstanding narration make it stand out. A must-play for fans of puzzle adventures—and irresistibly cute mouse animations.

Revelations is quite simply one of the best DLCs for a singleplayer shooter out there. The chainspear basically makes the gameplay an almost completely new experience. It doesn’t feel like a gimmick though but a genuine evolution of the formula. It is that different and well done that it might even excite people who couldn’t get into The Dark Ages in the first place. On the other hand if you already liked Doom: The Dark Ages you will find an excellent expansion that offers fresh gameplay.

Black Flag: Resynced is a strong remake that reminds us why the original is still so beloved. Its appeal comes less from being a classic Assassin's Creed game and more from being a thrilling pirate adventure with a fantastic Caribbean setting, spectacular naval battles and highly motivating progression. Some typical series weaknesses remain, including repetitive structures and occasional control issues, but the overall experience still captures the unique charm that made Black Flag special.
