Christmas Stories: The Nutcracker is a lavish production and up to the usual standard with Elephant Games. Fans of E. T. A. Hoffmann’s story may object to this retelling, but there’s enough adventure and fun here to be worth taking part in. Graphics are lovely, Tchaikovsky’s score is, as usual, a delight to listen to and gameplay, bar a few impossible puzzles, is involving. I would recommend the Collector’s Edition for the extras, although be careful with that achievement I mentioned earlier, it comes across like something the Mouse King himself programmed. In all, well worth playing.
