Brotato is a twin-stick shooter roguelite game where the player controls a potato character surviving on an alien planet. With simple but enjoyable gameplay, the focus is on movement, dodging bullets, and choosing the right power-ups. The game offers various characters, power-up combinations, and enemy types to unlock, providing a challenging and fun experience. Visually pleasing with clear graphics and adequate sound, Brotato delivers a satisfying and balanced gameplay loop.

Brotato makes up for its lacking depth, enemy variety, arena variety, and mash-up of mechanics seen elsewhere, by making the best of the combination to create an addictive title that fans of pure, arcade-like gameplay will love.

Despite the game not having much more than its single-player and endless mode, Brotato is capable of being can't-put-down fun. Thanks to quick rounds, accessible controls, and easy upgrade options, each run has the potential to be intense and memorable. Still, Brotato's adorably violent art style and characters are begging to be more thoroughly fleshed out with lore. The game would also be a blast on handheld or mobile devices, and with a multiplayer mode where friends could join their spuds together in chaotic cooperative combat. Still, Blobfish has proven itself with Brotato, a fun action game that stars a six-weapon-wielding potato who fights alien hordes.

This game is really great. It is quite simple, as you are just left in a rectangle map with survival as your only goal, but man does this simple concept allow for a fun, smooth gameplay. The weapons synergise very well with the different characters, and have their own feeling. Some characters may be too easy to beat the game with, whereas some characters really are a hard mode, but I'd say you can still enjoy the game with any character, as long as you find the appropriate build. Another thing this game does very well is shopping. Unlike some similar games, items in Brotato feel impactful and a single item can save your run, get your character to another level, or, at the complete opposite, completely ruin it. Definitely recommand this game.

I tried brotato in an extremely perfect time where I was exhausted by hard games and desire a short fabulous game that feels challenging but not frustrating. It did the job well, the game don't provide you tedious instructions but it doesn't overwhelm you with a bunch of new things. In conclusion, It is good, cheap and worth a try.

Nice art style and music, but gets incredibly frustrating at higher difficulties due to the luck necessary to win. Maybe fun if you play it casually, but if you find fun in mastering the mechanics, just about every other game in the genre does it better.

Bland enemies and bland gameplay. The weapons and item combinations don't synergize well at all. It's so repetitive. This is the worst vampire-survivor-like game I've played.
