Asylum is an indie game that offers a cinematographic experience. It will make you think about everything that happens throughout your passage through Hanwll. Beware that it is not a traditional game, so if you are looking for a classic horror story you may be disappointed. But it is something new that definitely deserves to be experienced.

There are definitely moments that feel like you’re playing a game that could have come out 10 or more years ago, but the point-and-click genre is one that can accommodate such design choices if the narrative is good enough. In the end, Asylum’s narrative is solid with some great atmosphere that makes it a point-and-click adventure worth checking out if you like games with horror elements.

This game is spectacular! Really as good as I expected, one of those games to take slowly, to look at every detail and read everything. You can tell it's full of details. The game is very fluid and looks great, I would have liked it to be in 3D and that it can be traveled like 3D first-person games, but it wins in detail as it is. It feels like the classic ones but it looks and is played in a more modern way. I thought the use of the notepad was very good as well. Best adventure game in a long time

If you are a fan of classic point and click adventures and inmersive horror, this is a must play! Looks: it is indeed a beautifully pre rendered game that captures that old timy filling just perfect! no need of a super new computer to play. Horror: looking for cheap jump scares? not that cup of tea, you have here a great balance of intrigue, tension and spookines. Gameplay: Great balance for a point and click between observation and logic. challenging but rewarding. Writting/Story: Does feel like a 80s horror story! just as promised and just what I was looking for!! A lot to read, to discover and know more about the story if one wants to dig in deeper into the lore.

The fifteen-year ordeal of Asylum's developers didn't end with a happy ending: while most of the game is praiseworthy, the final part is highly disappointing.

It’s nice to finally have ASYLUM in our hands after so long, but while it has the makings of an interesting story at its center, the vast size and emptiness of its namesake hospital overwhelm everything else about it, and it never gets a handle on how to balance narrative and gameplay or to deliver the horror it promises.

Question: How many clichés can you put into a game called Asylum?
Developer: Yes! This is like you put the boring Point & Click games of the 90s together with graphics of the PS2 era.
