First impression is: runs poorly on PS5. Second impression is: controls make little sense. I've played 3h of this game and it's really POORLY optimized for PS5. The game itself is not bad. It's been kinda fun. But the stutter is so bad even in performance mode, that it's hard to believe it's not a beta game, but a full release. It's almost ruining the fun. I keep waiting for the part where it totally freezes/crashes. Early Cyberpunk 2077 feelings. Totally NOT worth the money. This is not even a double A. Get it on hard sale or for free!

Nice little game. Tutorial stages are appalling, it only serves to push back new players. Skipping that and going to free map is fun. Until bugs start to annoy up to a point it makes it impossible to play. Army doesn't respond and militia can't be called for no reason, thus locking you in a save/load loop until it finally works. Not a game worth paying for.

This what Final Fantasy should be doing instead of the hack and slash crap they've been releasing. Game is a little rough around the edges, some graphical bugs, sound is heavily unbalanced between cut scenes / combat, but still great game!

Fun game, but it keeps freezing on my PS5. Guess this is a very poor port. Don't by it at full price. Money grabbing from DLCs is also criminal. Edit: Game now freezes my PS5 to the extent it doesn't load the saved data anymore. Had to uninstall. It's unplayable.

Pros: - awesome music - cool battle system Cons: - minor visual glitches on simple things that maybe make me afraid of what's to come - unable to save freely and saves whenever it wants to, making you hostage - silly shallow little dialogs - dialogs can't be automatically advanced and one needs to confirm every dialog (no option either). I normally give 5 or 6 to bad games I finish. Since I dropped this one, it's a 4. Really hope they address the save and dialog situations.

I played like 1h of the demo and the graphics are a bad joke. It literally started giving me a headache. This is a downgrade from P5. Wouldn't buy this in this state. Ever. Let alone with that price tag.

TL;DL: Bland story, poor character design, battle system is lame. They took the RPG out of the JRPG. pros: - loading times are astonishing - scenery design is beautiful - eikon/dominant background story is a cool new take on summons - crystal/kingdoms background story is also cool - map design is game of thrones style and is amazing. Really beautiful art - Ninetales political map is an amazing feature. Really cool new approach. Mostly useless, but amazing nice to have feature. - Drawn item art is beautiful cons: - battle system: ff15 wasn't good. But this is worse. No strategy needed. Just smash buttons. A devil may cry knock off (there's even a mode like that to give you performance letters). FF7 remake was in the right track, for me. - characters: bland as f**k. Game is rated mature for side boobs and a lot of cursing, but a 28 yo fella can't simply have sex with a willing partner and needs 20 chapters to kiss. Japanese virgin complex, I guess. Main character is a virgin Gerald of Rivia wannabe. - character design: LA Noir on PS3 had better expressions. Even the feisty characters are bland. Voice acting don't match body nor mouth movement and, since there are no expressions, they ****. Hairs are crazy. They simply don't move. Starting to get why game loads so fast. - cutscenes: obscene amount of them. Really annoying. At times, you spend several minutes without playing the damn game. And then, game let's you play only to fast travel and get back to a cutscene. - quests: lame!!! Side quests are all skippable and thank god for that! Conclusion: I've paid half price for a AAA game and feel like I was robbed. Game is not generic, but it's not FF material. They try to blend in the little FF names and things into the game, but they look out of place. Like the moogle. Like some spells. Anyways, I keep waiting for this game to get interesting, but it doesn't. Because it's not really a FF game. It's more like some Star Wars game rather than a good RPG game.

I JUST WANT TO PLAY! The game looks beautiful and fun, but it's unplayable. I've tried it for about 2h and was able to dive 4 or 5 times. The amount of unnecessary dialogues, cutscenes and, mostly, unskippable tutorials, is overwhelming! Also, the controls **** for PS5 (shooting is with R2, not X) and not being able to change them is poor design/development.

The graphics are clean and objective, with beautiful takes on planet physics and actual physics, with a pinch of fantasy. Loved it! Graphics are new generation beautiful. Game is linear, generic and exhausting to play (too many buttons to push at once and combos to make). Not for me. Reminds me a bit of the Devil May Cry in general. Again, not for me. Note: A studio that produces a game like Plague Tale shouldn't have released this. It's below them. I was planning on buying this on sale and I'm glad I've got it on PSPlus and could delete it without remorse. Dodged a bullet there!

Guys, this is a niche game. And childish. Voice acting in english is really bad. I dunno, maybe it's slow for kids or aiming to be inclusive. Didn't work for me. The 8 stories are boring and shallow (again, maybe it's for kids). Well, to be honest, I started skipping most of them. Repetitive sounds and end of battle phrases make the experience worse. Well, I did finish the game. Graphics are cool and battle is interesting enough.

Forget the other reviews. This is a rogue-like game, with minimum city (circus) management and item crafting. Main gameplay is exactly like Darkest Dungeon. It's not hard nor confusing nor overwhelming at all. It does get a little repetitive too soon, but it's a good casual game in general.

This is NOT a triple A game. Yes, it's kinda generic and unpolished, you can wait a price drop to buy it. That being said, you're experiencing Hogwarts and yeah, that counts! Some of the details are really fun and I enjoyed a lot. Well, but the thing is... It's gotten kinda boring towards the end. As an overachiever and a HP fan, I feel like I completed most of the challenges and explored way too soon and ran out of rewards and things o discover. Money didn't matter after a short period. Economy ****. Don't get me started on a level 9 quest teaching me how to do something when I was already level 29 with like 80% of the map explored. Then, I felt like the quests with the side kicks were kinda the same, with just a different background. Shame. I'm yet to find in me strength to finish the game.

Game is good. The sound FX is what bugs me. It's so annoying, it constantly makes you put the volume down and screw the experience. How hard can it be to simply make an FX volume controller, guys? Who the hell digs this mega drive bright sound at this day and age anyways???

This game has two flaws: Firstly, graphics are not the greatest for a PS5 game (yes, I expect better graphics for this generation, sorry). Secondly, and feel free to disagree, I think that you're punished too hard when missing a dialogue or simply not paying good attention to one. You end up missing an entire line of quests or simply getting lost. A simple log dialogue would suffice. I played offline and liked the immersion, so, looking up to revisit something that needed to be done was a little upsetting. And, if you let me worry about the little things a little further... Comparing in-store items with equiped ones should be a basic feature that is completely missed in the game. Had to take pictures all the time. That's all. The game is amazing. Got 140h into it and felt sad to finish it haha.

This game is so bad and out of place that amazes me audacity in the price tag. The graphics **** in a level that is beyond any conceivable argument. The voice acting tends to be worse. The story should work if you're < 10yo, but I'm not sure. It just doesn't belong to this age of videogaming. You have to do better with the resources available. Controls are not great and combat is almost decent, but not enough to carry the game. A bad experience all in all.

First of all, this game is for little children and should be advertised as so. It's just like someone is reading a book for a kid. If you're into it, cool. Not my thing though. Secondly, and following the first, this game is extremely easy. The graphics are also mediocre at best. The last thing that pissed me off is the long and unskippable talks over the map. Plus, the fact that you can't simply save or has an automatic save feature in completely useless areas. So, if you quit, you gotta redo a good chunk of the story. Poor game design. Couldn't bare past a couple of hours into the game.

Crashes really drain the **** out of the "joy" of playing this game. Background story is cool, game is interesting. Mechanics are ok, too, but it seems to be poorly ported (yes, I'm talking about the clumsy L1 mechanics -- ever heard of ability/item wheels? Well, they didn't). Music is week or nearly non existent. Overall, I will stop playing after the third crash in the same part of the village. Maybe played it for 15-20h, but I can hear my PS4 not being able to handle the poor optimization of this game before every crash. Yes, these PS3 graphics are not running smoothly on PS4, as one would think they should.
