Runs really, really bad on PC, almost unplayable. Constant suttering, lag, freeze, crash, textures loaded litterally seconds after they should be, no matter your config or the game settings (low to ultra). Some people seem to run the game fine, even with entry level configs , it seems very random. Developper MUST know the problem, but they released the game anyway in this state. The game itself is OK, without the HP license it would be an average game, with very dated open world mechanics (skyrim in 2011 offered much better), but the story and setting are wonderfull.
Fantastic game, awesome graphics, story, companions, character design... very traditional like all DQ but that's just what I like about them. Orchestral music is much better than midi, I found it a bit annoying during the first hours but strangely became accustomed and now I like it. It's a game I'll remember, unlike a lot of more "modern", generic JRPGs.
One of the best CRPG, if not the best over the last two decades: complex, epic story, good characters, a lot of builds. Until now I've had no bugs at all, expect a few graphic glitches. If you liked Kingmaker, you'll love WoTR. I don't understand why some people don't like it, maybe they where expecting another type of game. Also, most of the criticism I've read regarding the TB mode are in fact due to the (mostly) faithful adaptation of the pathfinder rules. It's not an AAA like The witcher 3 or RDR2, it's not divinity original sin either, it's a CRPG that is very classical in it's approach like BG, PoE, Wasteland, but it never promised to be anything else. And honestly, it is a VERY good CRPG. Edit: Now I've had a TON of bugs in the last chapters, after more than 20 patches it is the same, maybe even worse. I'm lowering my score.
Amazing RPG, with great universe, characters, choices, story... It is really memorable. A bit short, but what Obsidian did with very little money and people (even compared to PoE1 and 2) is really awesome. Voice acting is really expensive, so of course there is very little (wich is very good for everyone that doesn't speak English natively, 90% of humankind, because English voices with Chinese or Spanish text is a chore) please look at the game budget. Also, don't play classic CRPG if you don't like reading, should be obvious.
Wow, realized too late they removed the coop feature. Albeit very basic it is the only thing that I needed. I don't want to play this game a hundredth time alone, my only motivation was sharing it with wife or kids.
Artistically very strong, but ultimately it is very repetitive like a lot of rogue-likes. Combat has a lot of "feedback" due to timing, animations and sounds, it feels great.
A masterpiece, made with a lot of love. It is not perfect but is probably the best you can do while staying true to the "classic" CRPG genre (including fixed, but absolutely beautiful backgrounds).
