I'm a Spike Lee **** I also understand he has HITS and big misses. Da 5 Bloods kinda fits into both. There are beautiful poetic parts in the film where you really appreciate Spike's views and artistic vision. But there's also really poor plot points and bad scripting. It jumps back and forth between Jurassic Park/Forest Gump music to dial up late 90's cinematic **** then gritty realness that make Spike's movies jump off the screen. Overall, this should've been rewritten a couple more times. Entertaining, but throw this 2 years back before the rising racial tensions of today, this falls hard on its face.

An incredibly infectious story that has Hugh Jackman at his best. Had me and the wife on edge the entire time. Great piece of work.

If you rated this movie a 10, then your favorite movie was probably Transformers. Sorry for the judgement. Overall, an entertaining movie that was a long delayed teaser for something bigger. Was it a cool action movie? Hell yeah. Was it even close to the level of Nolan and Christian Bale? Hell no. I didn't walk into this thinking it was Oscar worthy, so that helped. I'll keep this short. Zack Snyder is a little too over-the-top for me. 300 is done, end it. We get it, you like smoke and dark shadows. Henry Cavill lacks charisma, obviously. Ben Affleck did ok. Jesse Eisenburg was horribly casted and kept trying to do a Joker-shtick.

Weak attempt at trying to recreate RAY-like cast and atmosphere here. I think Chadwick Boseman gives a pretty good performance but this lacks originality and uniqueness. Be here, seen this.

Visually stunning, amazing story

A great view into human emotions through a foreign lens. The emotions are real and the way of life is different but you will walk away pleased with what you saw. Great movie.
