This show is getting review bombed by people who don't understand how racism works. The show is really thoughtful and genuinely educational, every episode. As a White person, it was especially important to hear from a multitude of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour about the often hidden aspects of history in the United States. There are some skits that are cheesy, but honestly, the high quality of the series otherwise makes it well worth the watch.

Although it takes a couple of episodes for it's charm to warm up, One Day at a Time makes the wait worth it. By mid way through the season I was totally hooked. Some jokes are better than others, but on the whole this is a really great comedic show. At times they pack the serious issues a bit to thick and in bulk, which often means some of them are left a little too superficial, but it's efforts to incorporate and explore difficult topics with heart, will keep this show going strong for seasons to come. Ultimately it had me laughing out loud and crying in almost equal measure.

The first thing that struck me about Riverdale, and drew me in was the excellent cinematography and the overall production value. I doubt it'll attract an older Archie demographic but that hardly seems to be the target. If you appreciate lighter viewing (with a dark mystery plot/aesthetic) that is well executed I think you will enjoy Riverdale. Interested to see how they continue to make the show meaningfully fresh, relevant, and representative as it progresses.
