Divinity: Original Sin II10
Dec 14, 2025
I don't really know where to start. It's just a massive game, with so much content. Larian really is an amazing development team, and I'm just excited to see what else they have to offer.
REJOICE! We get another game in the Divinity franchise!

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond9
Dec 5, 2025
I had this pre-ordered from when it was available. I was excited. Metroid has been one of my favorites for a long time. The initial glimpse of reviews I saw worried me. I will admit, I agree with the criticisms, like the open desert being a letdown. I was hoping for a BotW sort of exploration but so far have been let down. Some of the puzzles I have found have been fun, though, but it feels both too small and too large at the same time. The bike is amazing, though, and I really think they nailed the controls for it; I just wish they did better with the content around it.Next, the companions. I won't lie, I wish we just had Adam or someone similar. The multiple companions and their intrusions ruined some moments of discovery for me. The reviewers made it seem like they were following you for the entire game, which isn't the case, however they are always around on comms with the occasional tip, which honestly I wish I could turn off overall, and am debating just turning the speech volume down, as I don't like the tips of where to go and what to do. That's part of the fun of Metroid.I wish I could give an 8.5, as it's not a 9 nor an 8 in my opinion. It does boss fights so, so well. I have loved them all; the combat feels smoother. It feels good overall, but there are definitely areas with flaws. I have played this entirely on my switch lite and have been amazed with the visuals and the performance as well, not a single dip below 60fps so far.

Hollow Knight: Silksong10
Sep 6, 2025
I've put 12 hours in, between switch and steamdeck, both are amazing. I will say, it is definitely harder than Hollow Knight in a lot of ways, and I can see it being off putting to very many because of that. I think as you "git gud" it does get a lot better, but I don't think everyone ahs the patience for that, and I also think that's okay. I don't think every game needs to be made for every person. It seems TC wanted a harder game, based on the dlc they added to hollow knight, and I think they made the game they wanted to play, that is rewarding, but also just stressful at times, similar to dark souls. I think TC did a great job, and this is my definite game of the year, personally

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 10

May as well have just left the game as it was and release it. They basically did nothing anyways, it plays like an absolute slog. It was amazing back in the day, absolute garbage today. Konami is a dead company without Kojima

Metroid Prime Remastered10
Jul 7, 2025
I love playing games from this time, it reminds me how good video games used to be in terms of not holding hands. I think many of us play waiting to be told what to do, or where to go and it ends up making the games we play too easy, and just many don't require much thought at all. Metroid Prime to me was always like a halo with platforming. There's some age here in terms ofthe gunplay, and enemy ai. However at the same time, the late game ai can be ruthless and this game can get difficult if you are unexperienced. All in all, this was a flawless experience, and possibly my absolute favorite game I own for my switch. It runs at a buttery smooth 60fps, with 0 moments dropping that framerate from what I've seen. The graphics are literally on par with whatever I would buy for a current gen console, the amount of small details in this game are insane, and so much of it can go unnoticed. The love put into this game was immense when Retro made it 20 years ago, but the love the put BACK into it is so clear as day. To say i'm excited for what Retro Studios does for Prime 4, would be an absolute understatement. I surely hope Prime 4 smashes sales records so we can finally get some more Metroid games!

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour0
Jul 1, 2025
Charging me for a welcome tour is not very welcoming. I think this is the last the true showcase of how far Nintendo's greed has gone, and how it will never end, so long as we support them. They clearly no longer care about user experience and just want to exploit us for every penny they can get.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach10
Jun 27, 2025
To me, being a huge fan of slow paced games, Death Stranding 1 was lighting in a bottle to me. I love the outdoors, I love hiking, I also loved MGS, so it felt like Kojima made Death Stranding for me. Death Stranding 2 doubles down on everything I loved about the first, and improves all the things I disliked, or wished were a part of the original game. But as it was with the first, it is certainly niche, however if it's your cup of tea, this will be your game of the year, I'm sure

Door Kickers 2: Task Force North10

Another fantastic work from Indie devs KillHouse Games. It shreds a fine line of engaging tactics and exciting CQB simulation. This is a niche strategy tactics game, but for those interested in this sort of tactics, it is one of a kind

Death Stranding: Director's Cut10
May 28, 2025
Oddly one of my all time favourite games. As many say, it is VERY much a love it or hate it situation, I don't think anyone can really explain what this game is, because it's a little different for everybody. To me, it is a Journey. As someone who loves hiking, and being outdoors, but also loves video games, and immersing myself in deep fictional worlds, this game scratches so many itches that I didn't even know I had until I let Kojima sweep me off my feet for a roller-coaster of a ride through his odd and beautifully crafted story, filled with loss, loneliness, triumph, and so much more. To say I am excited for Death Stranding 2 would be the understatement of the year.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild10
Nov 29, 2023
Playing this after TOTK is still amazing. I never made it far into Tears of the Kingdom before realizing I wanted to play Breath of the Wild first. And Oh man, I understand why people say this game changes what an open world game can be. It brings me back to the days of when I was a kid playing Skyrim, only but because now I can climb everything

Metroid Dread10
Nov 16, 2023
One of my favorite switch games. The chase parts remind me a lot of RE3, and i'm not a big fan of being chased lol. However in a metroid game it works better because if I fail to get away it was just my own skill issue. Metroid Dread is definitely not a typical Nintendo game and for that I am so thankful to Nintendo. I love that they try new and different things. This is certainly not a kids game. I could see it being pretty, well, dreadful for a kid to play because of the EMMI's that chase you. As far as i'm concerned this is a masterclass in platforming games and an absolute must have for Nintendo fans looking for a more mature game than Mario. PS. Coming back to this game 2 years later, after silksong has released has opened my eyes to just how much I love this game. It is *just* hard enough, and it's just a perfect speedrun game, I can either take my time to exlplore or see how fast I can do a run. I honestly can't wait for the next one, this game just looks beautiful even today 4 years after it's release.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder9
Nov 15, 2023
Super Mario Bros. Wonder has been an absolute Wonder to play. It may be a tad on the short side which is truly unfortunate because what is here is absolutely amazing. The boss fights were a little disappointing which is mainly what makes this a 9/10 for me. If there was more content, some better endgame content (like timetrials against other players or something to keep me coming back), more and better boss battles, this would be an easy 10/10 and maybe even my favorite mario game. However, it is a solid entry and definitely worth playing!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom9
Nov 8, 2023
The game itself is amazing. The new abilities really make for a fun sandbox adventure game. The physics in the game are actually pretty awesome and overall I've enjoyed it like crazy. My biggest problem is that the game isn't optimized enough. Well there's that, and that the game is just too big for the switch at this point. Whenever i'm having an awesome time, i'll be pulled back to reality by fps drops down to the 20s sometimes depending what i'm doing. Almost always when I open up the ultrahand ability to move objects there is some lagg in handheld mode, just for a moment but it shouldn't be there at all in my opinion. TLDR; Game is great! Price is Steep! Performance is just bad on handheld - This one would definitely have benefited massively from new hardware

Red Dead Redemption10
Nov 8, 2023
I'm reluctant to give 10/10 because today it does show some age. But I'm trying to think back to when I played this 13 years ago (it's hard to believe it's been this long). 13 years ago, this was my absolute favorite game. I loved it so much that as soon as I heard about Red dead 2 I preordered it, which was the first game I'd ever preordered. By todays merits i'd give it a solid 8/10. The only place it falls short today is the gameplay and other areas other the game are clunky.
