The soundtrack is good and some of the dialogue is funny, but I found the gameplay rather boring and I didn’t appreciate the message of the game as deep or meaningful as other players found it.

The game is super well polished and beautiful. It feels like you are living in a Studio Ghibli movie! The music is really good too. It’s the perfect game for relaxing - the game is super forgiving unlike some other similar games. For example, a fish won’t disappear if you accidentally reel it in too early, you don’t lose anything if you don’t manage to go home by your curfew, there is no energy meter, etc. There are a lot of side things to do such as sub-missions, completing the achievements, which can stretch the game out to 20 hours long and makes it more worth your money. However, I don’t think that people that get demotivated by repetitive tasks would enjoy this game, as the world is a tad small so most of the time you are just running around the world multiple times a day trying to collect materials, and doing it all again until you complete the game basically. The ending is not super rewarding and it happens a bit abruptly, so I enjoyed the journey and not so much the destination personally.

Fun and relaxing game. My complaint is that even though the soundtrack is mostly really good, there are some tracks where the music is a sad and it doesn’t fit well with the narrative.

Perfect game for a relaxing evening. The puzzles are repetitive in nature and in logic but they are all enjoyable in their own way and provide a challenge. I see what some people mean when they say some levels feel like a chore - there are some levels for example where you are sorting objects in a drawer. I really enjoy organizing so the “chore” levels were actually my favourite. The game might be better on a computer, and on the Switch I found that it is better played using the touch screen rather than the joy cons.. some puzzles require a lot of precisions so pointing with your finger can be a bit annoying.

As for things I liked, the dialogue is charming and funny, and the characters all have their own personalities so I really appreciate that. I think the soundtrack to the first mystery was quite good and the best of the 3 games. The gameplay however is quite boring and not much of a mystery at all. You speak to a lot of characters in turn, and they all want things which are very easy to get, and the reward you get is what the next character needs, and it keeps going until you win the game. The mystery solving part basically does not exist, you don't have any option to choose who you think the suspect is or anything like that. You have a note book where your characters takes notes and you can press a button to indicate that this person is a suspect, but it makes not difference to the outcome of the game. The graphics are nothing special, which of course you can see from the trailer, but coupled with what I've written above and the fact that the whole 3 mysteries will maybe take you 2 hours at most to finish, the asking price seems steep to me. Sometimes that game pauses to show you a message from the creator such as 'don't share your address with strangers' etc (which removes you from the experience imo), so maybe this game was intended to be targeted towards children as opposed to a cozy game for adults. One last thing which I disliked which is a bit particular, but I think the way the characters move (like when they dance) are super creepy. It's almost too smooth and human like.

The levels are fun and not repetitive at all, every 9 levels a new mechanic is introduced that keeps the game interesting. Most of the levels are challenging and actually make you think which makes for a great puzzle game :) The cat animations are very cute too ^-^ The only thing I would improve about this game is the music, it can get quite irritating listening to the same tune over and over. Most of the time I would just mute the game. Otherwise it’s a good bang for your buck and a puzzle game that’s worth picking up.

Really charming game, pretty good sound track. Creative story and nice visuals. Great for chill gaming and tapping into your inner child. Would highly recommend!

I think it’s a really original game - you are an astronaut who decides to return to an obliterated Earth and play golf in what’s left of it. While you’re on Earth you listen to a radio station based in Mars and people call in to talk about their memories on Earth and play their favorite songs. The developers really did a spectacular job at creating the atmosphere, it really does feel dystopian and nostalgic. The levels are not repetitive at all and you feel challenged to finish the levels in a certain number of shots so you can unlock diary entries.I like that for some levels there are multiple ways that you can win the level. It falls short for me in the way the astronauts story is communicated throughout the game and that the diary entries aren’t super rewarding to unlock because they’re quite random. It’s really worth a play for the vibes though.

Fun and nostalgic games. I find it **** to sit back at the end of the day and just collect gems on Spyro. I think it's great that every game in the trilogy is more creative than the last and given that I played each game directly after each other it definitely kept things interesting and kept me engaged. It loses points for me because I felt like there were some things that you just could not figure out without looking them up. Also the 2nd and 3rd games require quite a bit of back tracking if you want to collect all the gems and eggs and I'm not really a fan of that. Was also a bit laggy at times and the controls in the speedway levels tended to be a bit finicky.

I really enjoyed playing this game but I think that there are some adjustments that can be made that can take it to the next level. Useless upgrades such as offering higher discounts in sale boxes. Why would I want to sell at a higher discount when everything from the sale box gets sold anyways? Instead of upgrading chest space, personally I never even filled a whole chest, it would be more helpful to upgrade your backpack. If you’re shooting enemies at the top of the screen you can’t see their health bar. Would be helpful to buy a magnet to attract loot from enemies instead of having it fall into the abyss or stay floating over lava. Retailer should sell potion and enchantment ingredients. Things aren’t explained well enough with the diagrams eg. taking requests and seeing them on your calendar Last boss can be won easily if you just stay in one spot. Before I found this out I tried fighting it multiple times, and only on the first attempt did the boss do a different string of attacks, on the other tries he just walked around. Desert boss fight is super laggy!!! Identical items in the backpack don’t always automatically stack. There's a problem with the rings. Sometimes my full health will go down, then when I unequip and reequip my rings my health goes back to normal. When forging a new weapon, the stats will show something like 200 with an up arrow. This doesn’t show by how much your attack will increase but just the total attack of the weapon. It would be helpful to have this number just show whether it's improving your current equipped weapon or whether its worse by showing the difference between your current attack power and the new weapon attack power.

I think it’s a fun game but wouldn’t necessarily rave about it. I played it on normal mode and I think I could have switched it to hard as I was winning all battles besides the final one on the first try so normal mode is quite relaxed, but was just playing for the vibes. Sequel looks like it’s gonna be a lot nicer so will definitely be playing!

My complaint is that you respawn at the last place you saved if you die and the save points aren’t always convenient and you have to waste some time going back to where you were to recover your soul which is frustrating. And also, you can get killed by your own soul. Also don’t know if its an issue with the joy cons but jumping on those teeny tiny purple mushrooms was a real pain. I don’t know if it’s just me but I wish that the lore was more of a focal point in the game through dialogue with other characters or introduce some cutscenes etc. I couldn’t be bothered to read the journals so for me the game was mostly story-less. I like that as you learn new skills you start putting the pieces together and realize that you can reach new parts of the map that you couldn’t before. There were only a few bosses which I found annoyingly difficult but the vast majority of them were a fun challenge and I like how they are all very different from each other. Obviously the style of the game is beautiful and the soundtrack is really good. Collecting things is rewarding and I have to say that my favourite part was saving the grubs

This game is really creative which is where I’m allocating most of its points, along with how good it looks and the good soundtrack. Each floor of the hotel is a different theme so you’ll always encounter something different and get to interact with things in different ways which makes you think. For me it loses points because aiming is super frustrating, most of the bosses are just annoying, and fighting ghosts is repetitive and boring. But all in all it is a good game and I spent 20 hours on it so I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth and enjoyed playing it for the most part!

Beautiful visuals, great voice acting and the game has tons of character and made me actually laugh out loud. It’s more of an interactive story than a gamey game so be aware of that before going in just in case it’s not your cup of tea, but it’s really fun and original and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and just an overall great way to be entertained! Hats off to Isak and Natalia, they made something very special.

This game is fantastic. Atmospheric and definitely a must play if you enjoy puzzles and thrillers.

Really unique and fun game, kind of like a rice simulator with satisfying fighting (once you get into it it sort of feels like a beat em up) and a story. You also have lots of freedom with how you choose to upgrade yourself: which weapons to forge, what food to cook which all have different effects, what to put into the fertiliser which affects how your character upgrades, what powers to assign to your weapons, what garments/masks to wear which all have different characteristics. I'm nitpicking here cause it was truly an enjoyable game, but the reasons I'm not giving it a 10/10: - the dialogue during fights is repetitive, Sakuna, and other characters, will repeat the same things over and over and it gets so annoying that I have to mute it. - sometimes it feels like the story is trying to drag itself and you have to revisit old levels to complete missions - lags a bit when you run through the rice field once you start growing more rice - in my opinion the music wasn't interesting until the second half/last quarter of the game

This game is really sweet and wholesome, fun and colourful. If you enjoy music games and puzzles you should try it out!

The story is really sweet and interesting, featuring a lot of folklore that many of us were probably not familiar with which is always lovely. You play as a young girl called Tove and your brother Lars gets **** into a portal. Tove follows behind him and enters a world full of monsters and fairytale creatures and you spend the rest of the game trying to rescue your brother (having a younger brother of my own I found this story very heartwarming). The game is basically picking up objects and delivering them to the creatures or using them to solve puzzles/get to other areas. I bought this game because I liked the art style and I wanted a somewhat relaxing game, and I think that I got what I wanted. It looks really beautiful and you get lost in their world for a while and feel like you're a kid inside a story so if you want something chill, this is a good choice. The only thing lacking for me in this game is a memorable soundtrack, and overall I felt like the ending was a little weak. But I still had a lot of fun playing it and it feels really satisfying when you figure out what items to use where and you manage to progress, and I feel like it's great value for money if you buy it on sale :)

I am not one that is hard to please when it comes to games and it usually doesn’t take too much to make me enjoy a game, so this type of review is a first for me. This game is actually boring. You play as Mae that quit college and goes back to her home town and hangs out with her three friends. Playing as Mae you get the sense that apart from your parents and maybe those friends, no one likes you or wants you to be around which is not an enjoyable feeling. You walk around and talk to your friends during the day and then maybe you’ll end up going to band practice or hanging out with one of your friends. Then you go to sleep and have the same repetitive dreams almost every night. That is basically the game for the first 70% of it and then you actually have your night in the woods and the story ends up developing in an unexpected and mostly unwanted and unneeded way. All for it to end in the most unsatisfying and unresolved way ever. The game is mostly dialogue and not much game, which is fine and I accept it for what it is. What’s frustrating is that you have to choose answers which ultimately have no impact, it feels like they added this to the game just so you feel like you’re doing something and not just reading. The game could also use more music. There are instances where there’s no music going on and you’re just sat there reading dialogue, even when it’s a suspenseful moment that could benefit from some music to set the mood. What the game has going for it is the way it looks, which is beautiful.

I could not put this game down.. It's such a relaxing and wholesome game to play and perfect to play to unwind. The music fits the game so well, it's so fun learning about the spirits' backstories, and the art style of the game is just beautiful. There's always so much to do in the form of requests and crafting and cooking and farming and taking care of the spirits. There are a lot of lessons to be learnt about letting go and the grieving process. The creators of the game really deserve praise on this game because I feel like they paid attention to so many small details that make the game so much more cozy feeling, for example you can crouch down and hug your cat. Do yourself a favour and get this game!! I just finished the game yesterday and I personally did not experience any crashes the older negative reviews have been mentioning.

I got this game for €0.99 and I think for that price anyone should try it out. The game is different to anything I've ever played; it's creepy and the story is interesting. It has Stranger Things vibes and also "The Other Mother" from Coraline level of creepy vibes. The game is replayable because there are different endings depending on what you choose. The characters form opinions on you depending on what you say to them. The visuals are great and the voice acting is too, kind of like a movie within a game. My only complaints are that the music is a bit obnoxious sometimes and way too loud compared with the speech of the characters so I had to turn on the subtitles eventually, and the loading screens are really long. Throughout the game you use a radio to tune into different frequencies to unlock doors and other things, and this can be a bit repetitive.

Wow... Just finished playing it. This game is transcendent. It is literally a form of therapy, while I was playing I was so distracted by the beautiful style of the game, the amazing music, the many villagers and their mini games and quests, and above all my mission to reach the peak. I will definitely replay this game whenever I'm feeling down. The ending moved me to tears and it just makes you feel so warm inside. Don't be thrown off by the price to hours played ratio... I promise you it is worth it!!!!

This was a really fun play. You have a lot of space to personalise your play by choosing which characters to play as and which of their skills to level up and what other abilities you want to upgrade. It keeps you hooked, when you think you might be about to get bored the dungeons offer you a new short side quest that sort of -wakes you up- again after just going through enemies. The storytelling by the narrator is great, the visuals are great, and you should definitely pick this game up! You really get your money's worth with the time you can spend playing the game as you can also play another mode after you finish the main story. My only complaints about this game are that it has quite a few sound issues, the main ones I encountered were glitches in the storytelling during cutscenes and when there are a lot of enemies on the scream the creatures' sounds would just keep repeating even when you take them all out and even during loading screens.. it leaves you playing the game with the sound off sometimes. In the final stages of the game it also starts lagging a bit.

This is a short, fun, fast-paced game that will leave you feeling satisfied after each level. The soundtrack is fantastic and the style and vibe of the game are amazing. The story is interesting although can be a bit confusing, and you also have dialogue options which is great. I bought it on sale and feel like I got my money's worth even though the game takes less than 4 hours to complete.

This game is so fun and so underrated! Really fun to play solo but also as a couch co-op. Do yourself a favour and get it!

There are not enough words to describe this game. Every time I hear its name or hear a song from it or watch my boyfriend playing it all I can think is how I wish I could play it for the first time again. If you haven't played it yet, do yourself a favour and buy it. No words could do it justice and it is definitely one of the best games I have ever played and will play. You will never get tired of exploring because there are always new things to find and amaze you, the shrines are so fun and rewarding to complete, the champions are just so well made and their stories are so good, finding Link's lost memories is so rewarding and the cutscenes are just beautifully made and give you so much information about the characters and their history. The villages are all so charming, the soundtrack is a masterpiece. Just get it!

Not as good as the first game but a nice continuation of this unique story and an enjoyable play.

This game is really enjoyable and relaxing and I recommend it to anyone that's looking for something laid back with an interesting story and puzzle solving. Most of the time you are running around and finding items or completing puzzles. The story is good and so are the music and voice acting. At times it may feel like you are just playing through a filler, which is probably my only complaint about the game. It also feels a bit unrewarding to finish the game because it feels like the story has barely started. I bought this game in a bundle with the second one so I could just jump into the second game immediately and it felt like a smooth continuation, but I can imagine it feeling unrewarding to finish the first game if you don't already have the second one.

I really enjoyed playing this game and if you are even contemplating getting it, just get it. I knew little about the story going into it but I'm a **** for pixel games so I jumped right in. Pros: The game looks beautiful, the music is good, the fact that the story is based on the grandpa telling it is so sweet, the puzzles. The play time is good too, I spent around 10 hours to finish this game which includes time I spent on doing some side quests. There are some hidden areas in the map that give you rewards which are fun to look for. Cons: The only thing I didn't really like in this game is that when using your bow and arrow if you activate facing one direction then you have to shoot it facing that direction which is sometimes a waste if your enemy moves suddenly. The reason I'm not giving this game a 10 is because sometimes the game is too forgiving and it kind of throws away your incentive to play well because you can find hearts so easily. Coins are also too easy to obtain.

I got this game because I liked the way it looked and didn't know anything about the story. Once you start playing you notice that the story is actually dark. I also don't usually play 2D platformers and metroidvanias but this game has opened me up to them for sure. It is really impressive that Joakim Sandberg made this game by himself and for that he deserves a lot of credit. The game looks beautiful, the music is good, the bosses are fun to fight and the tool upgrades are rewarding. You can play as different characters sometimes which is fun too, even though I have to say that personally I didn't feel connected to some of the characters, like Mina who we spend a lot of time with. For me my favourite part of the game was figuring out how to open the gates and similar puzzles. At first I really didn't care for the story as it seemed too deep and out of place in relation with the visuals of the game and I was simply playing for the fun of it. The story slowly grew on me and I became interested in the politics of their world. The game has the gift of making you question what is right and wrong - there was one particular boss fight where I felt truly guilty for killing them and it left a bad taste when it was over. Sometimes the dialogue can run on for a bit too long and I was just pressing the button to speed through the text. Finding chests is not that rewarding because there aren't that many different tweaks and you don't need many materials to craft them and they're not that useful so I feel like that aspect of the game wasn't that well integrated. Overall it's a really fun game to play and it kept me excited and wanting to progress. I recommend this to anyone that likes puzzle solving and lots of boss fights and the aesthetic of the game.
