This is a magnificent movie all around. The scarce dialogue, cinematography but specially the 2 young leads are ... inspiring, breathtaking, relentless. There is a moment, a single instant that spoke to me when in a car's tape recorder Rocio Durcal is playing Juan Gabriel (Spanish diva + Mexican divo)... the awkward perfection of this sound insert is, for me, the perfect metaphor of the surprising stuff this movie is made of

Love, love, love it! If you are familiar with Wong Kar Wai and love 50s era cinema recreations, this is a film for you to watch. I celebrate Tom Ford has such a detailed and suave eye for moviemaking as he does for fashion. One truly expects his second film to have the consistency of this marvelous piece, the acting is superb and the overall feel is ... sheer delight. @cinemaquote

While watching this film, one realizes that Rodrigo Garcia has been making the same movie... during all his career. His themes, style and framing is exactly the same throughout his work, maybe except for TV. It is a shame about this flick, a strong cast that turns awry due to the predictability of every single character an shot in the movie. Such a shame.

3/4 into this film make you smile due to the Talking Heads, Geeko-Bud Fox (why not change the name the second time around?) moment and 90s reminiscence. But... the closing scene and overall end is a tremendous let down. Why o why does Stone do this? He enthralls us to go back and so dissapointly lets everything go to pieces. Please don't let me read or see a 'Director's Cut'. Rodrigo Prieto's photography is consistently good, as expected.

A beautiful film tainted with Magic Realism, portrays a not-so-fictional Peruvian family. The Quechua singing by the lead character is magnificent, it sets the tone for the picture. The native beauty of the characters faces and everyday reality is not only believable but visually enticing.

This is a good example of a mock-u-mentary gone good. With little resources, a good sense of space and character this little film can and does get across. It never looses rhythm even if most of the acting is really improvisational. A veritable try a documenting the life of hustlers in Broadway, turns out to be of interest.

Picture Me: A Model's Diary

How can this film even be considered such, is beyond me! Picture a bad mix of MTV Real World with America's or UK's Top Model plus bad editing and none whatsoever plot line = this flick. It is not even a documentary, just a sad and trivial story about girls who aspire to be models. Not worth you time or the crew's involved in making it.

It is panicky in the best of ways. Indeed the animation is quite different from American-sanitized frame by frame. Even better, there are subplots that make this a film for grownups to enjoy with kids. It resembles much some dream outing you designed while in Kindergarden. This is so familiar, it has everything for your enjoyment.

I am an Atom Egoyan fan. This isn´t his highest moment yet is not disposable either. Julianne Moore is grand as a woman on the verge and Liam Neeson is quite believable as a hunky teacher. The son and Seyfried I could careless, notwithstanding the do 'work' the ensemble piece. Do have patience with this one, don't be hasty to discard it. I does deserve a second look.

This is the entrance door to the quirky, excessive, marvelous world of the Kuchar brothers. Somewhat as the Maysels inspired many to document, the Kuchars are mentors to such figures as John Waters, Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. You'll mesmerize at their collaborations with Harry Crumb and Warhol. Yet the truly remarkable is their ongoing stamina and the continuous work with their alumni. Inspiring, truly.

All expectations dissolve as you watch I am love. The magnificent production design and set decoration pale to the miscast of Ms. Swinton's lover. She is obviously the anchor and rhythm of the film, yet not even her regal portrail, exquisite costumes and all around production can save the distraught taste of a film you will not love even if the trailer says so. The rest of the cast is more than ok, yet overall it doesn't make it.

I saw this film at Cannes 2009, to my awe, moviegoers either fell asleep or left the screening. I forced myself through it. I cannot understand the high ratings nor why Gaspar Noe would overindulge with such sloppy editing. For me it was way Over the void. Glad to read I am mostly alone at my despairing view of this long tale of whatever its meant to portray.

This is an interesting flick due to the 2 leads, the force and brutality of its pace and the magnificent landscapes. Yes, it may recall Mad Max lost in Inverness, at times but it does get across with a sublime color palette by the photographer and a very savy delivery by the scarce dialogue and vast imagery. Dominic West and Michel Fassbender are on the dot, also exBond Girl, Kurylenko. Get off it, the Centurion theme is overdone, but it can be revisited.
