Am I the only one who isn't getting the achievements in this game. Love the game but have played through it 4 times and many of the achievements are not unlocking. I have rebooted my console and tried every suggestion for unlocking achievements but nothing works. It is very random, some unlock and some don't. For this reason I cannot give the high score I would like to.

This is a fun and interesting game but there are some big problems on the Xbox One. Some achievements are broken and don't appear to be fixable with the usual console reboot. I did one quest three times and the achievement never unlocked even though the quest was listed as completed every time. It crashes quite frequently in one area and the difficulty ramps up to an absurd level but despite these complaint the game is quite addictive and still remains fun. I think most Souls fans will enjoy this game but prepare to die a lot. One more serious problem is that all of the maps are blank on the Xbox console so this makes the game even more frustrating.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga2
Dec 1, 2022
I have played every Lego game and have loved them all. My favourites are the Lego Harry Potter games and I haven't even read the books but these two games are amazing. The original Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga is 100x better than this sad attempt to revisit this series much like what they did with the movies. They even managed to ruin the mumbles. The voice acting is so terrible in this game that I had to switch to mumbles in order to keep playing but it is horrible as well, This will be the last time I buy a Lego Star Wars game and it might be the last lego game I buy. I feel like they don't understand what they had with these games and have lost sight of what the players want or just don't care what we want. It is so sad because these were always a buy on day one game for me and now I doubt if I will ever buy another. So sad.

Red Dead Redemption 24

I absolutely loved RD1 and never got tired of playing it. I was so excited to play this game and at first was struck by the beauty of the world and the quality of the voice acting. Love how real the horses are and how they behave exactly like real horses. The first game was full of fun things to do and surprises to find in the wilderness. This game has none of that. The constant maintenance of your character your horse and the camp are tedious beyond belief. The controls are ridiculously convoluted and you can't stay out of trouble no matter how careful you are. The game crashes or locks frequently and everything you try to do is ruined by the weakness of your character. I fail constantly and as for objectives to get a gold, forget about it. I am so sad that the game I love so much has become one I freaking hate. The four points are for the beauty of the game and the things that they did right, everything else has ruined this game for me. I will pass it on to my son and see if he can wring any fun out of it and maybe show me where the fun is. Biggest disappointment since Mafia 3. Update, my son hated it too!

I really loved this game. I played through this game at least 5 times to get all the achievements and enjoyed every one. The music and the puzzles were unique and interesting and the locations were eerie. I really appreciate the work this team put in to bringing us this game and would look for and buy any future games they make.

Shadow Warrior 34
Mar 8, 2022
The first Shadow Warrior game was one of my favourite games and was full of secrets and interesting levels and non stop fun. The second one was pretty good still but I didn't care for the procedurally generated levels. Both of these games were bargain titles but very good value. This game is a total rip off in my opinion. It is more of a plat-former than a shooter and although there is some fun to be had the longer you play the more you realize you are just running from one arena to another with the same enemies and it gets old pretty quick. On the Xbox One if you die you may end up locked out of continuing because of glitches. There are no fun achievements and nothing to recommend this game for the price they are asking. Huge step back and total cash grab.

Granted the performance for this game is pretty bad. Granted as an Xbox One player I can only play this game on the cloud. Granted as a loyal Serious Sam fan who was so thrilled to hear this game was coming and then to find I couldn't buy it for my console I was more than upset. All this being said this is a great game that is nonstop fun. It has humor heart and endless hordes of screaming enemies and the fun never stops. It's the most fun I have had gaming in ages. Really couldn't recommend it more strongly. Thanks Croteam!!!!!!!

Sep 8, 2021
I was the biggest hater of all for this game. I am a huge Wolfenstein fan and had no interest in this game. I hated all the previews and trailers and was sure it would be awful. I have played all the games available since the Xbox 360 game and Wolfenstein 3D which I 100%ed and loved all of them. I must admit that the New Colossus was my least favourite and I now like that one less than this game. My son bought the game on sale and said it was worth giving a try. With al the scepticism in the world and almost walking away twice I persisted and chose my son's opinion over numerous very convincing negative reviews which seemed to mirror what my preconceived notions were. I ended up agreeing with my son. This is a fun Wolfenstein game and although not what we wanted it is a great game. I even ended up loving the goofy nerdy girls who we play. They won my heart and I didn't even mind the elevator load screens. I really love this game and am so sorry I wasn't willing to give it a chance and glad I was encouraged to give it a try. I think you should too. You might change your mind as I did but at the very least there is fun to be had.

I did not play the original but I played Mafia 2 to death and loved it. I was very excited about Mafia 3 but hated it. This game is awesome!! You can change the weather and time of day and explore the beautifully rendered world to your hearts content. Hat's off to those who can play on classic difficulty and win the infamous race but for those of us content to complete the game and find all the cleverly hidden and diverse collectibles it is great fun. The better cars handle great, even the motorcycles! I loved the phone booth challenges and all the Easter eggs. Everything I want in a game and more. Sad when I finished it as I loved being in that world. The acting and characters were perfect and I liked how they ended the story. I had no issues with performance on my xbox one and none of the bizzare facial deformities that I have seen in videos. Highly recommend and congratulations to the developers on a job well done!!! Forgot to mention for those who say the world is empty in free ride I don't agree, the people you pass respond to you, there are air ships in the air and planes flying by pulling banners. Look around, the world is incredibly alive!!!

I hated this game and I am a huge Dark Souls fan, I call the first game my happy place I love it that much. This game is torture to play and even watching a video to learn how to play better is boring. It is just no fun at all. The combat is just so repetitive and tedious and nothing ever improves, it is just more of the same, over and over again. Glad I got it on sale but wish I had read more negative reviews before I bought it, all those tens fooled me. My own fault. Buyer beware, loving Dark Souls doesn't mean you will love this one. The four points are because it is quite pretty and has a good story and I love the Japanese audio and because I know others love this game so this is just my personal opinion.

Really struggled to progress in this game at first and admit that I gave up once or twice but couldn't stop thinking about it so I came back to it and in the end loved it. It really gets it's hooks in you just like a Dark Souls game and definitely has the same atmosphere as those games. All the environments and enemies are interesting and really satisfying to defeat. Looking forward to another game from this team.

Love, love, love this game. True there are some frustrating issues with frame rate and jumping that will have you tearing your hair out but that doesn't change the fact that this is a wonderful game to play, just like the Dark Souls games in that you don't want the game to end. When the last achievement popped in this game I felt sad that it was over. Well done developers!!!!

I absolutely love this game! The fact that it was made by one guy when he was 18 is stunning to me. I can't wait for what he does next. The game is challenging and fun to play. It lets you learn what to do by repeated deaths, at least for me, I died a lot but I never stopped having fun and just wanted to figure out what I was doing wrong and this game rewards you for that. It is jam packed with secrets and Easter eggs and the levels are plentiful and every one is fun to play. The bosses were challenging for me but I made it through all of them, again with many deaths and you must beat all bosses through all phases to move on, no saves in the middle of a boss fight. Again, love this game and highly recommend it.

This is the first Artifex Mundi game that I haven't loved. The charm of most of the games they put out is the quirky European fairytale aspect and the hidden object puzzles. This game is just a typical point and click adventure with an annoying character and a tedious bunch of un fun puzzles. Really hated this game, so disappointed because I liked the premise. Do not recommend this games to fans of the other games this team puts out.

Aug 26, 2019
I was reluctant to buy this game because there were quite a few negative reviews and so I waited for a sale. I have played every single Lego game, some of them twice on my 360 and Xbox One and this is one of the better ones. The game is fun to play and even has some free dlc that although it does not have achievements attached is still fun to play. Really nice to get something free for a change. This game has restored my faith in the Lego franchise as I really love them and will probably not feel compelled to wait for a sale next time. Please keep them coming. These are the only games that I always look forward to playing and even though there are small issues with most of them I always end up having fun. There is always a lot of creativity and imagination put into these games and on top of that they are very funny. They usually have a lot of respect and knowledge of the source material and I feel they could make a Lego game out of almost any work of literature and do it justice. That would be great if the team branched out a bit and brought us something completely new. There are a lot of Lego fans out here waiting for more.

Metro Exodus8
Jul 4, 2019
I am just starting my game plus play through of this game and it has taken 2 full completions of this game for me to start enjoying it. The problems this game has are well stated by others and I walked away in the Volga level but was encouraged by my son to give it another try. Even after the first completion I still was focused more on the problems then the charm and only after searching all the levels for the collectibles did I begin to really get in tune with the good parts of the game. I still do not like the wife or the father in law at all but quite like everyone else now. I also prefer the "bad" ending and the way that the developers created this, super clever. Music is really moving and the story is good but not as emotionally impact-ful as the original. Certain things have been eliminated from the story which is disappointing to me but I do appreciate that these changes are very subtly dealt with. It took me a very long time to be comfortable with the controls and learning not to go too far off the beaten track to avoid the many crashes but in the end it was worth it. This is a Metro game after all and I am sorry I wasn't more patient with it and am glad I went back to finish it and at last enjoy it.

Metro: Last Light6
Jul 3, 2019
I don't get it! Once again a great game is reduced to an annoying, badly acted boob fest. The characters that were so endearing and real in 2033 are just mouthpieces stating the obvious. Again you have the characters telling you to do what you are already doing. The game crashes, the sound is terrible, tha AI is dumb and where the first game was fun and immersive, this one is **** Metro stations are small and you don't feel like you are exploring at all. The above ground scenes that were so terrifying in the first game are tedious and boring. When you fall in the water you can't get yourself out but must wait to be placed back on the same shore you were on. So disappointed, almost quit several times but will finish hoping for improvements but it does not look good. After finishing the game I have raised my score but still far prefer the first game because of the reasons stated above. The trend in all games lately has been to fill your ears with too much meaningless dialogue of companion characters telling you what to do. Ruins the experience every time.

Huge fan of the first game and the dlc. This game does not even come close to the first game. Not the least bit frightening and if anything annoying. I feel manipulated and cheated by a game that keeps interrupting the story and the tension with cheap deaths and pathetic and repetitive chase sequences. This game can't decide what it wants to be and suffers greatly because of this. Do not regret buying it and hope they make more games with a focus on what they do right and stop trying to be a survival game , it doesn't work. So sad to say I didn't love this game because I sure wanted to.

Love these games! The more hidden object puzzles the better. Don't mess with the things that work in these games. We want the quirky stories and characters and lots of puzzles, especially the hidden object ones. One reviewer says there are too many of these hidden object puzzles in this one, that is impossible in my opinion. I always buy these games the minute they come to Xbox, not something I do with any other franchise except Doom or Serious Sam, they must be doing something very right. Keep them coming, I will buy every one and thank you to the developers for bringing something different and unique to the gaming world.

I am so happy that Swery is back and this game is true Swery. It is beautiful and thoughtful and unique. There is a wonderful quirky story along with so much heart, so rare in modern gaming. As always in Swery's games he will test your patience sometimes but it is aways worth hanging in there for the bountiful rewards that playing his games provide. The art design is gorgeous and the characters are all important in telling the moving and important story. I have played through the game three times and each play through makes me love the game even more. Lovely soundtrack as well. I personally give this game a ten but to be fair there are a few issues that some would find annoying and I must admit that at first I felt a little frustrated. This game took forever to come to Xbox but was so worth the wait. It is beautiful to look at and so much fun to play. It is jam packed with Easter eggs and even though most of them don't effect your progress in the game there are a couple that you must find to get all the achievements. This might be the best puzzle game since Portal and although not quite as unique and charming as that game it comes very close. I couldn't stop thinking about how to solve the puzzles even when I wasn't playing. Absolutely worth every penny. Awesome game with a great story and excellent voice acting and music.

I bought it right away when the early access was offered and was very excited by the look and sound of the game. I continued to play it as it developed and grew to hate it as time passed. I am happy that I didn't have to pay more to play the finished game as after such a long wait that would have been highway robbery but still hated the finished product. So sad that this didn't pan out because obviously many people were excited about this game and it seems like most feel as I do that along the way they lost the magic that was there at the beginning.

Far Cry 53
Jun 27, 2018
What a brilliant job of removing everything good about a game to replace it with long boring speeches and hired guns that walk in front of your shots and stand in the middle of fires and burn to death. Far Cry 2 and Primal are the best games in this series in my opinion with 3 and 4 being pretty good. I really miss all the things that have been removed and although this game is beautiful to look at I find the constant chatter of all the background characters annoying to the max.I don't like the story and I can't for the life of me get immersed in this game. I am entertaining myself by wandering aimlessly through the beautiful country side but the game keeps standing in my way of having any fun. What is the point of having a silent protagonist if everybody else NEVER shut up. I don't understand why when a game is loved by many and has an audience it has to be messed with and ruined. Are my son and I the only ones who loved climbing the radio towers? Forgot to mention Blood Dragon was awesome! After finishing the game I lowered my score and ended up hating everything about this game. The story was ridiculous, the characters were laughable, the music was terrible and I never once had a minute of fun. Disaster! Just a heads up, don't play as a female character as the chatter is even more torturous to listen to.

This could have been a decent Lego game as the characters and the stories are fun but the team really let us down on this one. There is very little content or challenge. The gold bricks are laying around in plain sight with no puzzles attached and the game instead requires countless replays which are not fun and force you to suffer multiple load screens before you can proceed. We gamers love our Lego games and this low point will not stop us from buying the next one with high hopes that our loyalty is not abused. Please do better next time team. Also on the Xbox One edition there is an issue with achievements not unlocking and multiple crashes.

I normally praise these games to the sky but this game has been troublesome. The achievement for completing all the puzzles without using the skip button has failed to unlock. I have un-installed the game and then re-installed it and even rebooted my console but still no luck.. I almost bailed on this game at a certain point but persevered and I am so glad that I didn't give up. I ended up loving this game and the reason is the great story and the twist ending. I do not want to spoil any of this for gamers who want to give it a try so I only want to warn you not to give up. At a certain point I used a guide for one level that had me frustrated but after using the guide this level became one of my favorites. I was able to complete the game without further help and recommend not using a guide more than necessary as the less you know ahead of time the better. This is a review of the dlc as it stands right now. I am not happy that BJ is not in these dlc additions but was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. The game play is fun but there is a serious problem with the save system both the manual and the auto save. I was bounced back to the title page at the end of the first chapter after almost completing it on death incarnate and will now have to replay the whole level again as none of the saves work. I am waiting for a patch before I continue as this is a very annoying and disappointing flaw in an otherwise great game.

One of the worst games I have ever played. Every time you leave an area, and some of them are very very close together, there is an incredibly slow load screen. The game should have cost no more than 5 to 10 dollars and even then it would be a hard sell. I love point and click games and walking simulator type games so that is not the problem here. The problem is the game is just terrible. The story is nothing new, the voice acting is ok, the music is not great but the controls are atrocious. Nov 22, 2017
I really enjoyed this game but there are some issues that kept it from getting a higher score. The biggest problem I have is the game punishing you for using all the weapons you work so hard collecting. The forced stealth that is so difficult when you can't really see and can't use devices to help you see without losing your map. Worst of all are the choices to get the "good" ending which is almost identical to the "bad" ending. In my opinion these endings should be reversed, I think the bad ending is a more just outcome. Really, don't waste your time going for the "good " ending unless you need the gamer score because I think you might be really mad for putting in all that effort for such a slight change. Overall for the price this is better than most full priced games so you will get value for your money. One more thing, be careful not to explore too far off the beaten track as you will get stuck in the environment and have to reload but the game does have a good check point system so this isn't too big a deal.. Basically a good game that could have been much better.

Since then I have played over 100 games and it continues to be one of my absolute favourites, along with Half Life 2, Portal, Bio shock to name a few. It is the most unique and funny game along with being super scary. It does have its flaws, the controls and some wicked hard quick time events but it is so worth your time. On day one I was loving this game but it gets old pretty quick. I love the Saints Row games but this game is more like Sunset Overdrive which I hated. The characters and stories are fun but the endless battles with bullet sponge enemies and the repetition removes most but not all of the charm. I still had fun sometimes in this game but nothing like the endless fun in Saints Row. I had a hard time finishing this game as the chaotic style and the harsh colours gave me a headache at times. I found some of the levels that required the use of the scan very annoying as the same button that does the scan also is the action button and it also leads you to your vehicle instead of the objective. I managed to finish the game but doubt I wil do much else in it whereas the Saints Row games continue to be fun after you finish the main story. So sad that the game this could have been wasn't delivered. I don't hate it but I sure don't love it.

I would love to give this game a higher rating but I am sick and tired of games being brought to the Xbox One without adjusting the text to make it visible on the console without having to walk up to your t.v. screen to see it. It is infuriating and is going to have an effect on which games I even consider buying for my Xbox console. I am paying the same price or more to get your game on the Xbox One and if you can't make it the same experience for us as the PC players then don't even bring it to us. I love this game and want to enjoy it but I can't see what I need to and ended up playing to level 13 without any upgrades because I couldn't see the icon that tells me to level up. It is stupid and unfair and shouldn't be allowed. Adjust your game for consoles or just keep it on PC.

I have been playing the Sherlock Holmes games since the Jack the Ripper game and this game has ruined the franchise for me. I hate what they have done to the look of the character and the changes that make this game an Assassin's Creed rip off. They had a really nice thing going that fans enjoyed and they just had to get greedy and try to make something that would appeal to everybody and that is NEVER a good idea. You have lost the games fans and I doubt you have gained any new players. Hate this game and do not recommend it to anyone. On top of these complaints the load times were atrocious! Goodbye Sherlock, this will be out last meeting.

Beautiful moving thought provoking and totally charming in every way. This is a very singular experience in gaming and not to be missed. I suppose there are some who will not enjoy this very special game but I am sure those people won't even consider playing it anyway. For those of you curious or on the fence I highly recommend this game. Totally loved every minute and would love to elaborate but would hate to spoil the experience for anyone. Just lovely!

I don't get it. This is no Dear Esther or any other walking sim I have enjoyed. This is just forced play for achievements to at least get something for your money. Sorry, not good in my opinion. This game had no heart or soul. I didn't care about any of these people and I played through giving different answers and still didn't like these people. Pretentious and over rated to the extreme.

Beautiful looking game with a touching story. Lots of well hidden collectibles and chapter select to find them. I really loved this game and didn't want it to end. The music was lovely and the mostly silent character is something I always enjoy. Really glad I bought this game, well worth the price.

This game is a chore to play. Pretty bad voice acting doesn't help. Forced replay and timed sequence in maze is really annoying and diminishes the message they are trying to convey. I was expecting much more from this game and found it shallow and uninspired.
