i loove this game and i also got it for my brother and hes loving it to. just dont go into this with a mindset that this is Fallout, because its nothing like it. its darker and more realistic where enemies are not bullet sponges and neither are you, and you dont progress based on killing dudes, you progress by finding training stims, materials, guns, and manuals. so the only thing you get from combat is the stuff that enemies cary. just beat it and intend on finding the other 5 endings
I like the tactical options in this game, like the soundmask, the ammo, the lights, the sniping, and yet it's still a game you can learn and enjoy right as you get into it. The depth isn't in the guns or the character customization but in learning the maps and the mechanics, which make you want to replay them. The kill cam never gets old, and it's almost, if not as good as 5.
This game checks all the boxes when it comes to being fun, satisfying, and having some depth. In contrast to all these modern slop games coming out that have no focus, this game knows what it does right, and it's a lot of fun
It's very fun when it works, but half of the missions seem to love putting in an overwhelming amount of enemies, so it's very difficult to be stealthy. The cutscenes at the beginning of every mission are very long and unskippable. The gunplay is mediocre at best, with my semi-auto SVD not wanting to be semi-auto. There are bugs where my AK decides to shoot indefinitely without me pulling the trigger. It's fun when it works, but I can't recommend this to very many people.
It's SE5 with better maps, better guns, and some tweaks here and there to the AI, and that's all I need to hold me over until SE6; though it would've been better received by everyone(including myself) if it were $50 not $60. There are only a couple of bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking. I've spent about 30 hours in it so far so I'd say it's just a spin-off to hold us over until 6.
I love the new guns and maps, they are, no doubt, bigger and better than 5's. each map is made to support every playstyle there is and they can be replayed multiple times without getting old, the new enemy types add some challenge, especially the Gaswaffen, the enemy snipers received some buffs aswell. the new propaganda missions, are satisfying bite-sized missions that I enjoy but can get repetitive. it has a few bugs here and there that don't really get in the way, and Harry isn't my favorite charactor, but after spending 250+ hours in SE5 I will gladly take more of it to play before SE6.
