This movie tries so hard to play with it's plot twist that it becomes difficult to identify if it helped the overall plot or sank it. Personally, the parts where the psychological aspects regarding the antisocial behavior, lonely life of the "villain" and how far he would go to have some type of company are showed are the best, and could have been worked on more.

Unnerving, Unrelenting. This movie doesn't have jump-scares, it relies on atmosphere and gives you an intense sense of dread through the whole thing. Feels very organic, besides a few flaws on character development, the main lead's past and present will keep you thinking in bed at night.

This movies presents nothing new to the table, and very few parts are remotely scary. The acting is okay, and the idea of using the Google glass as a way of filming is nice, but the bad points outweigh the good ones.

An atmospheric movie that gives a intense sense of uneasiness and dread, but never gets "too good". The story is very hard to follow, and gets dull after some time. Watch if you like slow paced movies and cryptic thrillers.

Wow this was a gore fest, in a good way of course. It doesn't shy away from showing you some disturbing violence, and makes you face the horrors that are the murders and the murderers themselves. The bad decisions made by some characters made it painful to watch at some parts but besides that, this is by far one of the best slasher movies I've ever seen. Watch it if you like a whole lot of blood, and don't shy away from some top notch brutality.

(This movie is actually a really long advertisement for whiskey) It's quite enjoyable, and visually beautiful, but the jump scares are mostly really cheap. The effects used for the ghosts are quite good, but at the end the story is not really explained. The plot twist (something that seems to be necessary nowadays even though it has the potential to ruin a good movie) is very predictable. With that being said the final scenes are pleasantly gory, and made up for a few of the bad points. Watch it if you are looking for the "small town, might be crazy" type of scenario and a horror movie where (shockingly) the main characters are not teenagers or young adults.

It's a movie with a good idea, but a very "meh" execution. It's not much of a horror movie, as the scary parts are very scarce, but the drama and ambiance makes the movie more of an atmospheric experience. You can really feel the loneliness and isolation of the main character, and the way she changes her behavior trough the movie is rather interesting and nice to watch. The ending is good, but the plot twist is quite predictable, and might have been better to just keep the original plot. Watch it if you are looking for a movie that will most likely not make you scared before bed, but might make you look twice at creepy dolls.

A refreshing take on old horror movie tropes, "He Never Died" never stops entertaining. With a very eccentric main character and interesting and dynamic side characters, it delivers a good balance between gore/comedy. Watch it if you are tired of the same old same horror movies, or feel like seeing something different.

This movie has some good parts, the way the stories connect is very interesting and the "Twilight Zone" feel to it is refreshing, but it doesn't have many other good points to offer. It does have some unnerving bits but the overall construction makes it seem slow and longer than it actually is. A lot of parts that are not explained and the lack of a "scary" element in some tales, makes the movie not "good", but not bad either. I would say the best tale is "Accident", and "Jailbreak" the least pleasing one. It's worth the watch if you are interested in more of a cryptic horror, and religious themes.

The movie tries to convey a feeling of "this is an edgy movie that has gore but is actually about grief", but does so very poorly. Most of the scenes i can remember are sex scenes, and i don't think that was quite what the movie was going for. Some of the psychological aspects are well done but, doesn't make up for the awkward pacing and repetitiveness.There is a message that the movie conveys, and if you keep that in mind, you might just be able to enjoy it.

This is a very solid psychological thriller type of movie, with a LOT of tension build up, and many moments where you doubt what exactly is going on. Some scenes make the movie seem very slow, and the focus is lost sometimes, but it's all mostly justified. The ending is amazing, and the very last scene gave me some very intense goose bumps.

It starts out as an average "found footage" kind of movie, with jumpscares thrown here and there, but as the movie progresses, it shows itself to be much more than that. The weirdness turns into a something terrifying, and at the end, it will leave you with an unnerving feeling. Its an unique and unpredictable movie, with an amazing performance by Mark Duplass.

This movie had a good premise, but sadly failed to deliver it properly. It had the opportunity to explore more on the psychological and mental horror aspect, but decided it was best to do cheap and predictable jumpscares instead. Most of the scary and "in your face" elements didn't really blend well with the movie and were clearly just stitched to the script. The ending didn't make a lot of sense, and seems like it was just thrown there to end the movie sooner, which i can't really say i was sad about, since i couldn't take any more minutes of this crap fest.

It's an enjoyable movie. Nothing great, and nothing too bad. Most of the stories require a little bit of humor to digest. Some were a little too vague, but the New Year's segment is a perfect way to end the movie. Don't expect thrills or any major scares.
