I don't understand on what druga are people that give this game poor grades? I seriously think that someone paid game review sites to give it 6-7. The game is beautiful, it runs very smooth, its eons ahead of, say, division on launch day. I have put some 25 hours into this game already, unlocked 3 of 4 javelins, and I can say that I had a blast with all of them. Very different strategy with every suit, love it. Had only 1 disconnection from server, and that was after the mission, when game failed to load after mission screen. Nothing was lost, I just didn't saw summaries of that mission. The story is very good considering this is looter shooter which will get free upgrades as the game develops. I had my doubts for freeplay, but I found that too to be very fun. And that is the main thing, The game is simply very fun to play, you play some missions, then you thinker with javelin's equipment (and look), then you chat a bit with residents of fort tharsis, then you read a little about fluff (sort like mass effect stuff), then you roam a bit in freeplay collecting mats and searching for world quests, then you do some stronghold, then you ty different javelin for a bit, then you will just like to do some testing on your build so you put difficulty to normal in order to have relaxed experience, and so on... Yes, it doesn't have 100 hours of animation like mass effect, but this is not that game. Yes, there are loading screens, but I don't get the hate train here. You really cannot wait for 20 seconds (Yes, I measured it) for mission to load? and 10 seconds to turn back to fort? and, what, 3 seconds for javelin to load (by the way when youre loading out of javelin back to fort its not 10 sec, its 2-3 sec)? And for the love of god, please don't put character in center of screen, if I wanted to play destiny, I would buy that game. All in all, can't speak for PC version, but if you have xbox, this game is must buy.

OK, I'm huge fun of x-com series, been playing since original x-com back in 90's. so, whats wrong here, why low score? - graphic: better than previous game, there's much more objects and scenery, so maps will look very different. Also, they are created right before you go in, so every time it will be different (not sure if this is true for story missions, didn't start new game). But its not great, its pretty but technically lacking. And hardware requirement is simply unimaginable for turn based strategy. You need a beast to play it without frame drops and on high details. That's just bad optimization. - gameplay: this title should be named: "xcom 2: prepare to die". Cause you will. A lot. In some missions I have to reload various saves for 3 hours in order to finally keep all team alive. Now, in my book this would be a good thing since in first xcom from 2k I didn't have a need for more soldiers, only dead were first 2 (or 3?) from tutorial. Game starts moderately difficult for first few hours, but then ramps up considerably. So whats the problem? Game isn't hard because enemies are smart or tactical in approach. They simply have way better stats than your soldiers and they outnumber you 4:1. The most basic trooper will hit you from 20 tiles away behind hard cover on elevated position with no problem whatsoever. 8 out of 10 times. Sectoids will wreak havoc in your ranks since their psionic hit chance is 100% and since you will be wounded in almost every mission your willpower will be nonexistent. Alien rangers can run up to you from beyond your field of vision and hit you with a sword. And forget about hiding behind the wall, they will shoot straight trough it. While I first thought this is cool idea since even weapons of today can shoot trough walls with no problem, later i realized that they don't have any penalties for shooting where they cannot see you. Also, they can shoot trough solid rock or cliffs like it is a wall. Their crit chance is waaaaay better than yours. It's actually very bad idea to try and remain concealed for too long because all enemies walk towards you (I tried this for several hours, they don't have patrol routes, they walk towards you), and if you delay action, you will be swarmed eventually. If you put all your squad on overwatch and then start combat with last one, you will lose 1 turn of action (this must be bug, so i guess it will be repaired). On a bright side there is still that good old "just one more turn" feeling, and i really hope that they will repair some obvious bugs with fields of vision. For a die hard fan of the series: go for it! For casual strategy gamer: wait 6 months 'till they update and optimize it, and buy it on sale. For non-strategy gamer: nothing to see here :(

Don't fix what is not broken. Guys from **** kept that in mind and gave us remake of old hit, upgraded in a good way. If you played previous galactic civilization (and if you didn't, you should have cause it's legendary game) you will be right at home here, but you will see little improvements almost in every aspect of the game. Of course there are some technical issues still, unfortunately I don't expect the games of today to come out as 100% finished product. But these are minor things like loading saved game for 1-2 mins on high end rig. What is important is that this game is still fun to play, the "one more turn" syndrome is back and I like it :)

Well, had my doubts about this game hearing all the negative buzz about pay to win model, handling etc. Finally decided to buy it, and I'm not disappointed at all. Since I'm old fart i remember the golden era of arcade machines. One of best game for me from that time was game outrun. And than i launched this and bam, its new outrun for me :). Story is meh, handling is ARCADE style, so if you expected simulation look elsewhere. But if you loved outrun for example, you'll love this too. Graphic is not top notch, but is very beautiful, and it really goes easy on graphic card so much kudos here. Sound, yeah, it could be better, but its not gamebreakingly bad. Best asset is hugeness of the map, never saw a game with this much content. You can just cruise around looking at scenery for hours and not get bored. Diversity of cars is not great, but is good since many cars can be fixed to several specs, and they look pretty different with different specs. Progression is also kinda arcade style, most of your car power comes from upgrades, not the cars itself, and you collect those by racing (i look at that like item drops in wow). All in all, hours of fun for me So, i get it that this game is not for everyone. If you're old enough to remember outrun you will love this. If you love NFS, chances are that you will love this too. If you love simulation, well, this is not for you sorry. I would give this game 8-8.5 but since it really don't deserve this low mark, I will give it 9.

What a wasted opportunity. They took one of the most famous battle - first battle for armageddon and made out of it mediocre strategy at best with dull story (I just wonder how is that possible since there is beautiful fluff already in existence for years). Graphic/UI/sound: would be mediocre for panzer general some 10 years ago, today is absolutely horrid. You have static pictures of units, when you order a move you watch them "glide" across screen. It's really awful to see a dreadnought gliding across map. Music is repetitive and uninspiring, and sound effects basic at best. Terrain is also very badly drawn, you barely recognize where is rough terrain, where you can climb a hill etc. Story: What have they done here? You could have a best story ever in strategy gaming, but you made a dull and boring experience about events in first war for armageddon. Komissar Yarik just pops out of nowhere, tells you to begin training, then after some time he comes back with 1 one and a claw, explaining in one half sentence that he battled some ghazgul thrakka. You will get captain tycho at one point, nobody even mentions him. Arrival of space marine chapters is like in a story, but if you aren't a hardcore fan of warhammer 40k universe, you will wander what's even happening at all times, that's how bad story is implemented. You will, for example, wonder why majority of maps are bland wasteland. Strategy: Again, would be good 10 years ago, now it's not acceptable. For example, flyers cannot pass over buildings nor can enter elevated terrain. They must go like land vehicles. At least they can fly over water. Walkers and dreadnoughts cannot pass through buildings either. There is plenty of units which are nicely implemented, but there is no real reason to have anything else except titans (firepower) and terminator (taking objectives). If they implemented some restriction (army composition comes to mind) this would be very good, this way its boring. At least there is room for some heavy modding, so some of this atrocity can be repaired in time. And the price!!!! omg! Buy this only if you're hardcore fan of warhammer 40k AND panzer general type of games AND if you really really really don't care about graphic.

Saw the trailer, bought the game, and I'm delighted with it. Graphic is top of the line. I can't remember when I was last time so amazed by 2D. It really fits the setting, mixing and changing of colors depending of situation is stunning. Sound effects, while not overwhelming, are done at right times, and done right way. Gameplay is also very good, this is a casual game with not too difficult puzzles and arcade sections. Just right. It reminds me a bit of "lost vikings", and I loved that game. Hours of fun on day one :). And with a price of 15 euros (live in Serbia) for top product, on day one!!!??? It's a steal :). Overall, I'm one (very) happy camper with this buy. Pure 10

This is a true remake of battle island. Since I'm a huge fan of that game, my review is maybe a little biased. Gameplay is great, like old battle isle. Graphic is better than original (no surprise), but if you like rotating 3D and such, you'll have to look elsewhere. UI, Story and sound could do a little better. Nice campaigns with OK difficulty (AI is easy once you figure out how it works, but again that's true for all games, computers just aren't that ****). Overall, 8 from me. Maybe 7 if you're not a fan of battle island

I'm big fan of x-com series. Played all x-com games, even when they strayed from turn based combat into real time with pause. Then came new XCOM, enemy unknown, and I was delighted with it. Yes, its not the same game as original x-com, but its close enough. That being said, the only fair thing is to compare xenonauts with newest x-com. Right from the start, who came up with the idea of naming this game xenonauts? I only recently stumbled upon it by chance, name and logo suggested to me that its another tower defense crap. Graphics: OK, this is "indie" game, I get it, I didn't expect to be stunned, and I wasn't. Graphic is good enough, animations less so, and the overall feel is better then original x-com, but nowhere near the new x-com. Sound: well, sound is bad, almost as bad as original x-com. Maybe that was the idea, to make game as close as they could to original game. Nothing to add here. Interface: whole interface looks very similar to original game, and that is a good thing to me. Sure, I like honeycomb view of the base and other stuff from the new x-com, but this is much much closer to the "old school" style that I personally like. If you played old x-com, you will be right at home here. Gameplay: Now, this game is set into cold war era and I think this is the coolest thing to change from the old game. All praise for that. Another change (sorta) is tactical view of the dogfights between aircrafts. Very cool, feels like cold war tactical screen, and overall much better then new x-com. Another good thing is that you can opt to airstrike the crashed UFO, so that means that you can neutralize the threat without spending time on missions which only waste your time. Thumbs up. Multiple bases, base assaults and takebacks are in, and I like that too. I personally also like the old action points system, so I would give another plus here for xenonauts, against new x-com. And now the ugly part... price is 23 euros!!!!! Against new x-com which is 20!!!!! And that's where many of these indie games fail to deliver. C'mon people, don't put a price which is half a price of mainstream game if your budget is 100 times smaller..... really. All in all, I gave this game a 6. Again, as I said in other of my indie reviews, add +2 if money is no issue for you, +1 if graphic is irrelevant to you, +1 if you couldn't care less of the sound and finally +1 if you are hardcore fan of the old school x-com.

After I played this game through, I have mixed feelings. - The story is good, your choices do have some impact (not heavy tho) , but most of it is told through walls of text, with some animation here and there. - Tactical combat is great at the beginning, every unit has one special move which impact the battle, but as he game goes on there are clear choices which characters to take and which not, so towards the end you will take same ones over and over again. Also it gets repetitive towards the end. - There are not many bugs, but the ones I had are annoying. For example, I lost all my men due to hunger at one point but the game still goes on, random events about problems of the people in caravan still emerging (even if there are none left). I also think that you can play whole game on easy, and then switch to hard on last battle, and you'll get achievement for finishing it on hard (steam). - I played this game on normal. For me, the game quickly turned to hunger game (you're marching without stop 'cause you don't have enough food, and every renown you get, you use on buying more food). Battles tend to be easy with little practice, but if you played whole game on normal last battle is almost impossible. Hence, I got achievement for finishing it on easy, even if I played only last battle that way - The game map is useless, except if you're into reading more walls of text to figure out the whole "setting" of this game (I think that is "RPG" element) - It is clear that this is meant to be just first part of series, 'cause game ends pretty much in the middle of things. Its like you sit and watch just first part of the lord of the rings. All in all, since this is advertised as indie game and it's from kickstarter, it is very good. Bearing that in mind, price of 23 euros is just too high, that's why my score is that low. Add +2 to score if you don't care about money and waiting for (possible) next chapter in this saga. 10-15 euro price tag would be more appropriate for this game.

OK, cant logon to servers, so I'm taking my time to write this :). Took pre-purchase. Played for some 35 hours already. Now, I did have 1 guild wars 1 game, but I didnt like it, so I didnt play it very long, hence I cant compare this game to guild wars 1. But I can tell you that this game has been huge fun for me for the past 3 days, and thats only start :). It seems that people in arenanet have done their research, looked for everything that players of MMO's didnt like, and found a way around that. Materials clogging your backpack? you can put them in a bank from anywhere in the world. Production made easy cause you can access the bank directly from that window. If an area is full of players, and the game would be laggy otherwise, you will be thrown into overflow (copy of that area) to wait your queue. Everything you do in overflow counts just as it would if youre on a main zone. I understand that some people find this a minus, but to me it's realistic solution to computer and networking limits we have today. World vs Word is everything I hoped Warhammer online would be (warhammer looks like a todlers game in comparison). Before I thought that 10 keys in total would be somewhat on a minus side, but trust me, combinations are endless and fun, and you will use that 10 keys, not like wow where you have ton of abilities of which you use what? 3 keys for pve and additional 2 for pvp? Graphic is nothing groundbraking, but looks very very nice. Caracter control are inferior to those of wow (again), but better than any other MMO I have tried, so close 2nd :). All in all, this is a game that knows the limits of todays technology, and deals with them in a right way. Programmers were not on drugs (hey, give us 300 million dollars, we will make you best game ever in the whole unknown and known universe, riight). And most importantly, this game is fun to play :).

First of all, I played diablo 1 for some half hour, and didn't play diablo 2 at all. That's because I really dislike hack and slash games. And then Diablo 3 happened to me, since I play wow and they simply gave it for free for 1 year subscribers. That was first plus in my book. When I finally started 1 hour after 00.00 (yes, everyone tries to connect, and blizz aint gonna spend 3x more money just for players to be able to log on in the 1st hour of launch. On that note, I don't understand the drm runt, you knew its gonna be there, you knew theres gonna be problem in first few days with servers. Blizz doesnt support piracy and actually is investing some money to fight it), pluses just kept showing in my book. Story, lore and dialogues are very good. Its par with much more serious titles, not just hack and slash (bear in mind that I didn't play dibalo 1 and 2). Graphic is not top notch technically, but artistic impression is fantastic. When you're playing multiplayer, and when you gain some levels, and when you came across some 50 monsters with their abilities, its explosion of colors (in good way) from spells, abilities, blood and gore... excellent, and without any graphical hickups. there's also good deal of side dungeons (that are not connect to main quest). Another good thing is when you logoff, and then back on later everything resets except main story. Dungeons are not where they used to be (if they are there at all, but there can also be more dungeons than last time), layout is not the same etc., so this adds a lot to replayability . All in all, as someone who didn't play diablo before, and someone who doesn't like hack and slash at all, I have only words of praise for this title. Blizzard didn't disappoint me (again :)). I would give it 9, but seeing all this nerd rage, it's 10, this game deserves much more than 3.6 average

I played lots of mmos in my gaming years, but boy I was really impressed by this one. Game itself is total ripoff from everything you saw in every mmorpg you can think of, but these guys took only the best things, improved them in lots of ways, and wrap them together in fabulous package. Public quests, superior auction house, excellent PvP and dungeons, tons of action (youll never get bored here), you name it, rift got it. Best polished and bugfree mmo game I ever played on launch day. If you liked any mmorpg out there ever, buy this one, you wont be dissapointed.
