Hard choices and a great ending to Season Two. It does what all good stories should do: leave the reader wanting more. The ending of Season One packed more emotional punch, but the narrative of this ending is better. How the series goes forward Season Three will have every fan on their edge of their seat.

This one really should be in the $5 bin or free to play. It's repetitive, has no narrative, it's skewed to melee with broken gun mechanics (sorry devs, it doesn't take 30 seconds to reload a 9mm clip). Graphics are poor and game mechanics are cartoonish. Not worth your time, and you will keep asking yourself why you are playing it over and over. This is a bad survival work simulation not a game.

Only buy this game if you like questing, exploration, retro-futurism and classic western music. You can mod, or not, to your tastes, but the retail game is a exploration rpg with strong Cold War overtones. As a long time fan of the Fallout universe, I would say this is my favorite Fallout game. I liked Fallout 3, but was frustrated by the lack of imagination in the world architecture, and banality of the quests. If you like more of a open world feel, as I do, this is might be the game to get of the two. There are quite a few minor bugs throughout (especially in Old World Blues DLC), but not any game breakers. You will have to reload here or there, and the graphics are dated (they date back to at least 2007). If you are a level capper, but don't want to do all the DLC, you will be frustrated, as you probably will have to depopulate the world significantly to reach level cap. The mainline story is easy to finish even on hardcore mode, but if approached as an exploration rpg it is a fun game. If you do not enjoy exploring or doing side quests then this is not the game for you. Also, this game is best played in first-person mode and with a game controller (I prefer XBOX 360). It is a console port, but playable. The menu is intentionally bad (in the vein of retro-futurism). Think BASIC meets plasma/laser weapons. Glass soda bottles and type writers meets holo-projectors (Dead Money DLC). It's a wacky game world but it's worth giving a look.

This is a review of the stated premise of the game. The best alternate history at least gets the framework history right. WWII history buffs will find the premise of this game maddening, and it will make them wonder if the developers even cracked a history book in regards to the OSS and the Russian front when writing their summary. The OSS was barely a month old on July 21,1942 and the Russian "invasion" had been underway for a full year by that point. I can think of several, better backstories to this alternate history than the one provided.

Great, though short game. This game is probably for those age 12 and 15, though the emotional story is powerful and would appeal to adults as well. My concern is that the price point is too high for a game of this length (about three hours), and its appeal to an English audience and keyboard users. Though I selected the English tab on startup I did not see any subtitles, nor hear any English being spoken. You don't really need any spoken dialogue to follow the story, which is a lot like the non-sanitized German children's stories I heard/read growing up. Again well written/designed game.
