I loved creating levels and playing other people's levels. I'll be playing Mario levels for months to come. But I really prefer a Mario game that you can finish.
Most under-rated game of the year! I love the quirky humor and characters. The challenging strategy and the unique map design! I spent 30 hours straight playing through this game, I couldn't put it down! I played it before they updated it with ability to increase alien movement speed. Pros: + very challenging + humor + characters + art style + maps always surprise and excite Cons: - alien movement (before update)
Really enjoyed my time with this game, it's just super short. Pros: + short and sweet stages + clever puzzle platforming + love the character designs + music + tight controls Cons: - only 16 stages
I enjoyed this game, but it is very short and fairly typical. Pros: + Art style is awesome + digging + upgrading Cons: - digging and digging and digging - very short - gameplay seen before many times - once through is enough
Reviewing this post SSB Wii U is hard... If you don't have a Wii U this is a must buy, if you do have a Wii U get SSB for Wii U and skip this one. Pros: + SSB on the go! + online and local multiplayer! + tons of fun + Collectables Cons: - short single player game - small screen - amiibos and handheld don't go well together
Original and clever at times, should check out if you own Wii or Wii U. Pros: + Over the top violence + fun art style + kill combos really enjoyable + humor + fun mini games Cons: - multiplayer (and lack thereof) - camera - black and white takes getting used to - violent humor not for some
If you have a Wii or Wii U, this is a must have! This is the Wii-remote fully utilized. One of my absolute favorites! Pros: + Very Clever Puzzles + Wii-remote FULLY utilized + fun and memorable characters + superb level designs + tons of collectables + humorous + fully replayable Con: - not for the easily puzzled :P
Sorry, lack of online multiplayer is a game breaker for a Monster Hunter game. Pros: + Monster design + deep game play + crafting and upgrading + Communicates with Wii U + local multiplayer Cons: - NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER - on small screen (game like this needs full HD) - worlds broken into pieces with loading walls everywhere - Communicates with Wii U, but NOT a cross buy
I have logged 440+ hours on Animal Crossing: New Leaf! It is AC at its best, I have played all AC games to date. Pros: + You're the mayor this time! + Animals and their personalities + Fish, fossil, furniture collecting OCD! + customize town + Real time = extension of own life + mini-games + visiting other towns + streetpass integration Cons: - friend codes still a thing - repeating dialogue - flat terrain (compared to previous installments)
One of my favorite puzzle games! Pros: + challenging + pick up and play + fun characters + level designer + level sharing = infinite puzzles + great value for price Cons: - puzzles didn't get challenging until later in game - can get repetitive
If you love puzzle games, this is for you! Pros: + Challenging and clever puzzles + tons of puzzles + Physics work great + beautiful music + pick up and play + Wii U gamepad integration + addicting + polished + good value for price Cons: - timer too forgiving at times - content lacking in variety
Beautiful pop-up book-esque game. Not for every gamer, but it is an experience I enjoyed! Pros: + Beautiful Art in every level + Wii u Gamepad integration + Lovely music + slow/relaxed pace (could be con for some) + head scratcher puzzles Cons: - empty levels - slow/relaxed pace (could be pro for some)
Absolutely my favorite platformer of all time! Pros: + Levels are just beautifully made + challenging + high replayable value + the Music! + collectables Cons: - local multiplayer gets messy
Pros: + Online Multiplayer (it makes this game) + Great monster design + super deep game + tons of weapons, items, upgrades + item crafting + 3DS/Wii U communication Cons: - single player is bland - map broken into small pieces and loading screens - grind, grind, grind - showing age
Bought this game in June 2014, I'm still playing in January 2015! The best Mario Kart game on home consoles! Pros: + Online Multiplayer!!!! + Great tracks + New anti-gravity adds variety + DLC is excellent and reasonably priced Cons: - Battle mode - too many baby characters
If you took the brush drawing from Okami, the humor and style of Viewtiful Joe, the gameplay from Bayonetta, and a pinch of Pikimin you get... The Wonderful 101! I absolutely love this game. Pros: + Original + Challenging + Funny + Wii U Gamepad integration Cons: - camera at times is weird - stylus works less reliably than analog
If you love 2D mario platformers this is your game! This was the 1st Wii U title I 100%'d, great fun! Pros: + Clever and imaginative level designs + Challenging and rewarding + nostalgic Con: - multiplayer is a bit messy (but still fun!)
Pros: + 100+ hours of gameplay + The Adventure Modes + really fun and exciting (especially Co-op) + Great and reasonably priced DLC + decent amiibo support Cons: - No online multiplayer - AI is brain dead - grind at times
Best Pikmin game to date! I have played all three since the first came out, and this really ironed out any issues with the previous installments. The Wii U gamepad is utilized well and makes it even easier to manage your Pikmin army. I can't recommend this game enough! My ONLY cons: -No online multiplayer -Story mode too short (but highly re-playable)
Best Super Smash Bros game to date! Simply perfection! The following are my ONLY complaints (listed here only because its easier to mention than all the good): the level creator the lack of 4+ online multiplayer Miis not playable online Wish more communication with 3DS: e.g.Fire Emblem Awakening and Animal Crossing: New Leaf avatars, and communication with SSB for 3DS.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game! It's a beautiful game that has clever level designs that are very rewarding and fun to play. Each and every level is a fresh experience, that range from simple to challenging. One-hundred percenting the game takes effort but it never felt like a grind, each level has several times over replay value. I highly recommend picking it up!
