Very good game, just like the first installment. Beautiful graphics, gexcellent rpg elements and possibility of heroes customizations, factions are very different and not just copy pastes with different skins. My only complain is the AI that does not present any challenge on lower difficulties, and on harder difficulties equally stupid AI just gets bunch of bonuses while player is given annoying penalties that simply take a lot of fun from the gameplay (you just sit with the armies guarding public order or constantly recovering armies instead fighting). But overall this is a solid game with great replayability value.

Beautiful on the outside, ugly inside. This game has terrible controls, Imagine playing Pillars of Eternity or Baldur's Gate but controlling not 6 but 60 units with no possibility of pause at all to issue commands. Total chaos and zerg are the only strategy here, no chance for any tactical approach whatsoever. On top of that the beautiful graphic is totally misplaced - very often trees and building simply obscure the units and heroes, and the details of the units and environment are not visible outside close zoom anyway. Also heroes are premade and one cannot customize them the way it was possible in previous games. Disappointment of the year for me, just next to DOW III.

Everything in this game - from the trailers to its price just screams out what this game is - a low budget classic WW2 shooter. No bells or whistles, absolutely noting unique about the mechanics or settings - just the same stuff that was seen in all WW2 games before. Think COD 2 Big Red One and World at War or Medal of Honor serie. For some reasons it also reminds me of Project I.G.I. This is the same simple stuff: just killing **** with a A LOT of weapons. The graphic is a mixed bag - overall it is not bad - not jaw dropping, but very picturesque sometimes, on the other hand the game is also full of low res textures. The developers are not very clever and they offered the ruined Warsaw as the first game experience. The ruined city looks rather ugly. The french or norwegian part of the game play looks so much better. Ai is dumb like in other shooters, not better not worst. The campaign is rather short, i was playing all night and i finished it on medium in about 10 houres. I had not encountered any game breaking bugs or crashes, once or twice textures took to long to load. The best part of the game is the story - it is rather compelling for a FPS, especially in a one that is not an AAA title. Gameplay-wise it is just old good shooter - they tried to implement stealth and sabotage as an alternative approach to the missions but who the hell cares if you can just load the MP40 and shred **** with that or headshot them with a Mauser? It also has a multiplayer mode, rather casual one for max 12 players. One thing I noticed - you die really really fast in multilayer while the single player campaign is rather easy on medium. Well, the multi is full of hackers anyway and there are only 3 maps so no point to bother with this mode.

Gameplay is very good, itemization is one of the best I have seen in **** it all goes down the drain when you take all the exploits, hacks, mass boting in every public dungeon, not working skills into consideration. The communication from Zenimax side is almost non existent limited to generic one-two sentence post on their forum. The economy of the game was utterly broken 2 weeks after the release because exploiters were duplicating items making a tons of cash. Zenimax did absolutely nothing to counter that, they just banned the exploiters leaving the broken economy to the players. A clear sign to me they are not here to stay, just grab as much money as fast they can. It is a fine game for a month or so, just for solid pve experience, and that is all. Unless it does not bother you that you will have to grind your ass off to get that legendery items when the guys next to you have all of that, millions of golds and they crafting skills maxed out thanks to an exploit. Well, it does bother me.

As much as I appreciate the effort put into resurrecting M&M franchise, I cannot say this game deserves better than "mediocre" notes. Simply too many corners were cut while developing this game. Fights almost totally lacks strategic planing - those difficult ones just rely on pure luck with block/miss/critical hits. Save/load the game 20 times and you will finally win the big boss fight. Also game is pretty unbalanced and the freedom of party creation is limited by lack of imagination on the developer side and their lackluster decisions - ie. try not to choose a freemage as a member of your party and you are pretty much screwed as she is the only character that can cast spells required to find hidden doors. Want to make some party with shields users - well you can but because of the linear structure of the game if you reach expert level by the end of the Lighthouse quest you cannot train it to the appropriate level because the trainer is in other town which you cannot reach at this stage of the game - so you are screwed with a party that cannot defeat the boss because you were putting your skill points into something you cannot train yet. Well unless you want to save/load it several dozens of times that is. The world is small, how to make it bigger - make the player run back and forth to town for supplies required to rest and to repair broken equipment. Those are just examples of how the game was poorly put together - it has a lot of parts but there was little tough into putting them into an enjoyable experience. Seems like the developers are fine with the game being just "playable". And when after 20 hours of playing you realize that you have to start over because the mechanic is broken and the party you assembled is unable to do something essential - the whole charm and nostalgia the game brought back is replaced with frustration.

I have no idea why so many people rate the game so high. It does look shady when an indie title get more reviews than top AAA titles by huge companies that spend millions of dollars for promotion. Just by reading the comments one can easily see that those reviews are written by the long time game followers and beta participants and it is the fanboy's zeal and not the high quality of the product that causes all those prises. To be honest there is not much to prise. By reading those comments I learned that the game was made by one or two guys and it is really **** they charge for their product like it was made by a professional studio so there is no reason why this game should not be reviewed in line with other 4x games out there. But sadly it does not stand a chance in comparison to contemporary rulers of space 4X genre like Sins of Solar Empire or Endless Space. I do have a problem to understand who is this game actually for? It is not aimed on the hardcore 4x fans, because for those it will be waaaaay oversimplified in every single of its 4X aspects. It does no come close to the "epicness" of SoSE space battles, it does not give you any actual control over the fleet during combat, the resources management is shallow like a puddle after morning drizzle limiting the game to 3 sliders..., the colony building aspect is a lackluster copy-paste of GalCiv approach. Tech tree is short and uninspiring. On top of that the game get some random fps-slowdowns and is prone to crashes. Veterans of 4X space games will be bored after 15 minutes with this game. The only innovative thing here is the approach to the race's diversity which is really solidly done and does not end at the different perks sets for every race but seems to expand to the different AI algorithms. All others 4X concepts are really poorly executed and the game itself is in the best case a younger brother of MoO serie and them alike titles, suitable rather for my kid than for me. Assuming that it will be patched and stops crashing that is.

Disappointing. This is just Eador: Genesis with a new 3D graphic, everything else stayed the same. The graphic itself is nice, but the game works choppy, new interface is messy and unresponsive, and unlike in the Genesis the turns on larger maps with many opponents take FOREVER for AI to finish. Make yourself a HUGE favor and go buy Eador:Genesis instead it is exactly the same game same concept, same mechanics, same units/spells/heroes etc. just less expensive and with the old school 2d-sprite graphics.

Unfortunately FE is a medicore game for me. Much better than War of Magic, the GUI is far more intuitive and game feels a lot more polished overall than its predecessor, but still it does not trigger the just-one-more-turn effect that makes some of the games out there to be the titles to remember. This game proves like no others that a great game is more than just a sum of it parts - because FE has all parts necessary to be great, but it is not. The gameplay is simply kind of bland, generic, and the balancing were too often done in the worst way possible - simply by cutting corners. For instance - city spam that was a problem in War of Magic was dealt with by allowing to settle only on few titles on the map, race balance was achieved simply by making all races almost the same - they are just retextured humans that feel almost the same while played etc. The biggest flaw in my opinion is just that - the lack of diversity between playable races that takes the fantasy gaming charm away. Diversity of creatures and fantastic races has always been the core of fantasy TBS-games and creates the feeling of uniqueness, which is simply missing in FE. I guess the development had focused on technical issues and has missed the more elusive and subtle aspects **** designing. Some other issues I got with the game: the city development part is poor - at the beginning there is just too much to build, after a while the cities stay idle, unless they train troops. Too much things depends on sheer luck - in many cases a starting location or a quest reward decides about being or not to being of your or AI's kingdom/empire. Itemization is poorly implemented - I kept finding items with level requirement of 7 or 10 with lvl 1-3 champions. There suppose to be an abundance of spells but it is hard to get a feeling of that, because separate Spell books have like 20 spell in it or less. And again - it is not up to you what kind of magic you specialize, but up to the map generator, that decides what shards will be in your kingdom/empire. On top of that the game has some technical difficulties - the fps drops significantly while the game progresses. I suspect it is because every unit can use it's own equipment so the game has to render them all separately, but still it will be an unpleasant surprise for a powerhouse-PC owners.

An awesome game - difficult (on classic at least), complex and demanding. After terribly disappointing CIV V Firaxis finally released deep and fun TBS. There is a lot of decisions to be made and different setups to try out, but beware: the game will punish your severely for your mistakes - an approach that is the heart of old games from '90 and that is seldom found in modern titles. It is more in line with last UFO serie (Afterlight, Aftermath, Aftershock) than with the original, but that is not necessary a bad thing. The game is great, although not ideal - camera does not work well sometimes and is overall rather unresponsive. On top of that the variety of maps is poor and they become repetitive quite fast. Also I have no idea how moddable the game is and in the long run it is up to the mods to keep this game alive. This does not change the fact that XCOM is the best game of this year so far for me.

Quite enjoyable 4x game, with a load of content to keep you occupied for the whole time. Sure it has some bugs, and AI is not very challenging, but tbh it almost never is, unless it cheats. The game utilizes fine graphic and music, although some units could use a little more details/polygons. The game is really easy to grasp and the mechanics are not very complex, but still the amount of content (building/units/spells/gods/terrain's types/unit perks etc.) makes it interesting even for folks who already played all 4x games out there. Some features just scream to be developed further, but well, it is as it is. Maybe some mods or expansion can build upon them... This is not Realism Invictus or Fall from Heaven in the terms of sophistication and complexity, but it has its moments. I should also mention that the game works flawlessly so far on my rig - even after 7 hours of game play the time it takes AI to do its turn is virtually the same as it was at the beginning of the game. It crashed on me once (luckily there is an autosave ) when I clicked on a message related to a building in a city I just razed. so I guess the message pointed to some content that was not in the memory anymore. It is a very minor issue thou. There is a demo available, so everyone can check it out before buying. Overall it is a solid game, well worth 20$.

Fine, complex game that lives up to their predecessors. Some few new and originals features where added like underwater mining and a base of operation one can upgrade and move from one game to another, but the core of the game is the same as in previous Anno titles. Graphic is beautifully, music also is superb. It is one of the best economy simulation on the market right now. The only downside for this title is the greedy approach of Ubisoft releasing stupid-priced dlc's with nothing much more than cosmetic stuff and few units. Otherwise it is superb title, one of few that was not dumbed down to EA games level.

There are some bugs with npc not obtaining offices, but before you run into one really game-breaking bug you may spend days and days building your dynasty's empire. Awesome idea for a game witch some flaws in executions, but overall it is a decent title, significantly better then previous instalment of this title.ââ

In my opinion this game ia a monument of how lackluster the mmorpg bussines has become. It is just the same WoW over and over and over again made by different company under different name with different world, races and classes, but the core is the same. The only innovative thing about Rift are those "rift events" which turned to be just another excuse to mob grinding...Crafting is poorly designed and unexciting, no open world pvp makes the game even more boring later **** is just another WoW clone with total lack of immersion factors

Truly this is an awful game. Much worse than first and second installment of the title. The character creation and development is very limited and superficial in comparison toprevious games. We just get premade characters and do not have the freedom to develop them as we please, but we simply must follow the straightforward paths made by game designers.Graphic is unequal - some aspects like outdoor environment looks good, but animations and indoors looks poor, story is as uninteresting as it goes, camera and controls work awkwardly, all battles are just bland boring buttonsmashing. Pro: best graphic I have ever seen in a game, great mature story that has nothing to do with fighting mindless horde of orcs/undeads or spawns and saving the world again, best immersion and atmosphere I have experienced in a video game for many, many years, well optimized and no technical problems at all for me (Q6600@3.4Ghz, Ati 4870 512 RAM, 8 Gb RAM) CON: Combat - is very action-oriented and poorly balanced (regular fights are to easy, boss fights are way to difficult, upgrades of armors and weapons barely noticeable in actual game play). If I would like to play something like this I would buy Assassin Creed. From a game that claims to be an RPG I expect more of a brain use to win fights, and not just a fast reflex in my index finger...messy inventory interface, low replayability value, some minor bugs, especially with crafting.

Great game overall, especially taking into consideration the state of group-based games in last decade. I enjoyed the graphic, animations, special fx and combat mechanics a lot, finding the latter to be some nice tactical challenge (granting one not play a wizard, which makes the game a stroll in the park on any difficulty), Unfortunately the game story is very disappointing: great beginning turns out to this same old plot of saving the world from a horde of mindless monsters. Seriously, it does not get more boring and stupid than that. But once you accept the dull storyline, the game really shines and has good replayability potential. Also in my opinions the available dlcs are not worth of the original price, but are nice addition if you can find them in some bundle for few bucks.â
