Napoleon Dynamite10
Dec 21, 2013
This is my favorite movie, ever since I was young. I've always appreciated independent film, since the filmmakers have a very adventurous and free spirit. Napoleon dynamite is a wonderful attribution to genre, that has been a slump for a long time now. Jon Heder gives a revolutionary performance as the socially awkward Napoleon, with his overtly exaggerated but very comical mannerisms. Perfectly acted and scripted and also appropriate for the whole family for a rainy day or movie night. An excellent 'underdog' flick

Grown Ups 20

This was a horrible movie. I can't say anything positive about it. WHERE'S THE PLOT? They gave the masses this atrocious movie, just to make a great amount of money off of prepubescent boys. The humor offended me greatly with insipid toilet jokes that a twelve year old could think of very easily. Where's my $11 refund check? If you want your I.Q to be drastically lower after a short amount of time (approximately an hour and a half), view this movie.

The Hangover Part III3
Dec 21, 2013
Part 1 was fantastic and a truly different comedy movie, definitely and defiantly better than other comedies of a similar genre. Part 2 was decent (even though they recycled the same exact plot from Part 1), due to an impressive performance by Ken Jeong. How many times can you repeat the same exact jokes and plot? To be honest, this comedy lacked momentum and had lazy acting with somewhat poor production values. And yes, I know how hard it is to make a 'good' comedy sequel, let alone a prequel.

Requiem for a Dream10

This movie is the definition of the word "Realism." This is a beautiful film about the dangers of abuse that can truly impact, or even change, your life. This is the drug movie, as it shows how drugs WILL get you and it really could damage ANYONE. It uses it's surreal and amazing special effects so this audience truly feels the downfall of these characters and there are remarkable performances by the actors, including Ellen Burstyn and Jared Leto. Darren Aronofsky gave us this very depressing horror movie and your jaw will drop at the final scene, with it's incredible brutality and intensity. I also admire the fantastic musical composition as it definitely helps the movie show you it's wrath. A true masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression on it's audience. You HAVE to see this movie at least once. Recommend to all. Just buy a few more lightbulbs after the credits.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party10

Different from most motion pictures, this movie gave it's audience an unique sense of exuberant life with it's fantastic independent spirit. It had a cool premise, to bring the people of Brooklyn a surprise concert of many extremely talented performers (Kanye West, Mos Def, The Roots) as a random act of kindness. This movie shows us what a "Community" really is in other people's eyes. This film is definitely worth a look as it is one of my favorites, to have a unique social theme and sprinkle it with some humor. Inspirational film that is actually quite heart-warming. MUST SEE

Mystery Team9

One day, as a loser strolling through the avid contents of Youtube on a rainy Sunday night, my friend texted me and said to check out Derrick. I was expecting them to be another dumb group of wannabe stars, but I was pleasantly surprised with there clever writing and amazing timing. My favorites include "Bro ****" and "Jerry". If you enjoyed there videos, you will be laughing on the floor from some scenes in this cult comedy. the laughs never stop and these three (DC Pierson, Donald Glover, and Dominic Dierkes) have an immense amount of talent. Strongly recommend to anyone who enjoys breathing.

A sensational, out of this world movie experience for any moviegoer. You feel as if you're isolated in space with the main characters if seen in Imax 3-D. I feel that 3d was initially created for this film and they cleverly and expertly utilized there 100 million dollar budget. Remarkable; the future of cinema as we know it.
