This actually is very playable. It is arcade not a sim. Probably not enough event classes. There are a significant number of server issues. The graphics can be variable at times certainly looking next gen but at other times low res textures. The maps are huge, and the event do take some skill to complete all the extra task. Progression is always happening. So despite some issues, I’m having tremendous fun. Wing suit is my favourite then bike downhill. The maps are considerable and exploration is recommended. Not a ten but certainly the best Ubisoft game I’ve played in a long time except Felix.
The value of this on gamepass is extraordinary. I got a series s to play this. Series x aren’t readily available. But the performance on series s is terrific. You need good internet for this game it good it’s best. The game represents the best package I’ve ever seen. The whole world is your sandbox. The amount I’ve learnt in three days is sublime, obviously referencing YouTube vids. There are people giving this game zero because they have nothing to do. They’re entitled to their opinion of course but this game will last me years. Brilliant from Xbox. I even rate the series s.
Don’t get the negative reviews on this game. I think it’s awesome. Lots to do. Very few lag issues. Enjoying learning to survive. Seems many having a negative impression but the stability of my games have been great. Sorry to disagree.
I’ve got this game for Christmas as a present off my kids. This game is a sad reflection of our critic community. There is clearly a vested interest to sell games. If the game is a terrible mess for base consoles then the critics have been in part responsible for the hype on this game. The wording from critics containing some truths but hiding many truths. They skewed their reviews to hide this in conjunction with CDPR to hide the truth. As fans of computer games we need to fight this manipulation. We see these type of reviews everywhere such as films and tv. The whole critic industry like ign et al are failing their community. ACG had the honesty to say different and is reviewing a brought copy. Give him support for integrity. Same with Mac at worthabuy.
This is an usual experience for me. I’m disappointed that there is no steering wheel support at launch. But after 6 hours of play I think I get it. Steering wheel and some modes would be a disadvantage in the vehicle handling model Codemasters have utilised. This is a purely arcade experience. No sim, no simcade. I haven’t played an arcade racer in years. Project cars 3 has a more sim model than this one Graphically at times awesome. Sound and music awesome. Career mode racing average but online racing is satisfying The playgrounds is an awesome idea and has huge potential. Faults include steering wheel, event items are not collected correctly as you complete them. There is little difference in handling model between vehicles of class or even weather and mud. There is a noticeable difference between mud and ice but not difficult you can still drive. There is no reply mode on races. Ultimately the game feels hollow at times but equally I’ve been surprised a few times. I’ve cranked up to very hard mode and it is a challenge. The difference between 1st and last is literally about 4 sec in a race. Codemasters will have the steering wheel support in a month but it may not work on this game. Virtually no one mentions the lack of steering wheel. Onrush worked very well on controller. But we will see if this optimisation come about. Yes it is a fun game. It’s a casual game. It’s not a sim. There is a skill curve which is not immediately obvious Playground great. Driving mechanics basic but ultimately it’s a pick up and go racing game. There is a market for this game in a sea of sim.
I’m no proud boy. But I’m old and wise enough to see the agenda going on. Normal white dude below is happy to be cancelled. I do believe in tolerance but there is an Indisputable anti white male racism in this game. This is a woke agenda game. I’ve no problem playing black leads in games. In fact mafia3 was awesome. One of my favourite games ever. But This is diversity to the extreme removing white males. It’s a deliberate agenda. It’s a patronising one which just demonstrates the reverse racism going on in many industry. I’ve never been racist yet my culture and male lead roles are being subjugated. You patronise many game players with this stance. I for one will think twice about paying for ea products. I then had a look on the covers for ea games. All had black men covers except ufc which had a Whitman and a Blackman. Seriously an agenda going on. It like their tradition customer is not important. I will be accused of racism but it’s ea with the racist and diversity agenda. Poor show. Post blm were are noticing more and more this going on. As for the game, it’s actually ok. Not much of a simulation. Why should I buy products from such a disricompant again.
I can get the hate on this game. Did SMS say they were developing a full sim racer. Im not so sure. Is it a departure from the previous interations, yes it is. Is this a good game? I believe it is a good game, and people hate because theyre sim racers. Yes, I love sim racers and I have ACC for the xbox. Great game, but boy does it have flaws. Yes and many. Yet, I will work with the developer to get regular update and fix. It seems strange to me that many are not giving PC3 similar respect. Last night I drove in a multiplayer race around Nuremberg long circuit, 10mins per lap. It was an absolutely awesome race. Did it have the technical precision of ACC, no. But PC3 has accessibility. ACC is a difficult game to master and it requires a vastly higher degree of dedication to succeed at ACC. But it has limited cars and limited tracks. I still get the first corner right-off and poor collision mechanics. Poor multiplayer. PC3 have a vast number of tracks, huge number of cars, and great multiplayer. It definitely has its place with the less sim orientated crowd. If you're a sim racer, this game wont live up to the technical standards of ACC or other sim but it does provide fine racing in my opinion. Just get away from that early career mode where the driving is not that great and in my view provides a poor impression on actually how good the game is. Delve into multiplayer, the custom race, select those faster cars and watch it go. To good for 7.0 but not good enough for an 8.0, but that's the system here. On my early impressions, I would give it 76% Flawed but actually likeable.
Love this game. I’m having a blast. I’ve set the game to hard. It’s difficult but boy is it frantic which large numbers of zombie. The previous zombie game I brought was world war z. That was poor. This is miles better. Forget left for dead, this is a different game. It’s sniper elite but with Hordes of zombie. Who we ours gave thought **** zombies would be so much fun at killing. This is a more than respectable game from a respectable game developer.
Awesome game. The gameplay elements are mixed and varied. I play on hard level so the game is a challenge. I was unsure when I purchased the game but I would certainly recommend.
The games is not bad. It looks ok but on xb1 X the textures should be better. The pink colourisation is certainly off putting but you get use to it. The sound is excellent and the gun feels great. The game on hard mode is not a real challenge. The driving is average and just serves to get you from A to B. I don't really do the driving mission because compared to the gun fighting, it is distinctly below par. Where Rage does succeed, and very well, is in the gun play department. The gun fights are excellent and can be very tense, however, ramp up that hardness if you want a challenge. The UI is surprisingly clunky, and overly complicated. It lacks smoothness and is just barely functional. The game is open world so you are free to chose your mission in the order you wish, which is great. however, most the mission are samey. Whilst I appreciate the standards of gaming is high, this isn't a bad game, were just spoilt for great games at the moment. Whilst elements of the game are excellent, the overall package is not perfect in my opinion. But if you want carnage this game is as good as any in that department.
I love this game. The driving appears very realistic in the main. It actually shows how poor the physics is on other arcade racer like Horizon 3 and 4, Forza 7 et al. No whilst racers like horizon and project cars have their place, the thrill of driving a rally car is extremely well captured on the game. There is a tremendous rush in this game when the driving around those corners are achieved with the correct lines and acceleration from the corners. To be honest, its sublime how accurate the game is and yet the driving experience changes with the different type of rally cars and track substrate. Each car and most tracks offer a different challenge. Add to that the weather, daytime, night time and track condition. Im not that convinced by the track condition deterioration element of the game. But the track degrading is the first time Ive seen this be applied. So it will get better. The replays of the drive are a pleasure as usual to watch. Codemasters usually do this very well in all their games. So for me this game is the best racing game I have played in a very long time. Its that good I need to upgrade my steering wheel to get me those faster times and better control on the vehicle. Although my current wheel is not that bad at all. Some argue about the amount of content on the game. yes the number of tracks are limited, but there are online challenges every day. And seriously, to get good at this game takes loads of practices and developing skill. Driving at night, in the day, in the wet or dry, driving RWF, FWD or AWD provides more than enough challenge. GREAT GAME. Not sure this is a sales winner for Codemasters, but Is brilliant. It really does the rally genre a great service. But beware, it can be hard. Play only with a steering wheel and cockpit view to get the full immersion experience. Well done Codemasters again.
I understand the negativity on this game. The graphics resolution is poor, there is also a poor frame rate. The frame rate is punishing when you are trying to destroy hordes of baddies, particularly using the aiming mechanism of VATS. The shooting mechanics are just not accurate enough, IMO The menu system is dated perhaps but it is functional. It is clunky, but it works. Apparently, the stash hold is too small for many but isn't part of the game about stash management. I honestly do see what they have tried to do without the NPC. You have left the vault (76) after being given the all clear from Nuclear Holocaust. The only population that will be freed on to the wilderness will be those from vault 76, no other infrastructure will be around, no other groups and no other individuals. It will be a lonely place. The plan is to get all those from Vault 76 to work together as per overseers instructions, in a world void of humanity. The cooperation element doesn't work for, I've had the opportunity to join groups but haven't done so. There is no chat system of note, this side needs a bit more development. Only 20 players per servers suggest little scope for hooking up with others. You need 50 - 100 to have an effective human eco-system. The human ecosystem is way too small to allow for sufficient multiplayer. My camp always disappears when I leave the server, surely, your camp should remain permanent. Not sure why this happens. So yes, there are significant flaws in the games. but strangely, I'm enjoying the experience. It's a testament to the game concept and game premise that perhaps keeps people tied to the game. I found Fallout 4 boring, but the story structure here seems to always keep me moving around the map. Fallout 4 didn't do that. I've lost server connection on a few occasions in about 20 hours playing. Frustrating. So yes, it is a frustrating experience, sadly one that is too common nowadays. Luckily, I have unlimited broadband download at a good speed. To recieve an update of 53Gb on this game, would be a serious pain for many. 50Gb or 100Gb download would be significant limit for many. How can they do this? DO THEY RECEIVE ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR SUCH LARGE UPDATES. All games do this now where they replace the whole software with updated versions. I suspect they get a degree of revenue back from the internet suppliers. This abuse by the games industry must be stopped. yes, having updated product is great but there are repercussion for the end user. More consideration please. back to Fallout 76. yes, it can look ugly, yes it has low frame rate, or no frame rate at times, its systems are tried and tested with the game engine very old now (it is showings age). A lesson for the developer, get that engine updated because you will lose kudos. Fans deserve the best experience for their buck and yes, the engine has served the developer well but in this day and age, such a product release would be a problem. Give the game ago, but wait for the sales, IMO.
For me, this is a stunning game. Its arcade action is sublime. It's intense fun. However, it is slightly frustrating. The networking, particularly on the ranking tournaments, keeps cutting out. The networking is not stable enough for competition mode, IMO. Other than that, there is a learning curve to understand the abilities of the car. But if you want fast action, great soundtrack and stunning gameplay, then this is it. The ranking mode and the multiplayer online is brill but expect some problems with the network connection, not as stable as it could be.
Who would have thought that I love a train sim? I really love it, it actually is my favourite game at this moment. For me though, the sim doesn't go far enough in the detail, but that is perhaps due to the limits of console gaming. nevertheless, it's fun, but in a nerdy way.. It can get boring but I suggest all safety modes on and then you'll start to see the difficulty of the sim gameplay. I'm now playing games with a difference, in this age of clones, I look for games that are different. This is certainly one of them. Give it a go but be patient. the graphics could be better, no enhancement as I call for Xbox X. Look forward to the updated train sim, particularly the upcoming Somerset west route and the Ruhr Seig Nord sim. Provided the content remains cheap, I will be a continued fan. Keep up the good work Dovetail. if Dovetail can develop the flight simulator for the Xb1, that would be awesome.
Not Bad. It has a certain charm. It is quite intense when the mummies and zombies raid in large parties. the puzzle elements add a twist. graphically above par. For me just like the excellent sniper elite 3 and 4, this game is enjoyable and looks excellent value for money, IMO. It wont suit all type of players but so far very positive and different. In this age of cloned games, I look for games with a difference. This is such a game. If its anywhere like the snipe series this will be tremendous fun and long game.
I'm a big Mass Effect fan, especially the original 2 games, 3rd not bad but a let down. The negative reviews on the fourth installment delayed my initial purchase of the game. I'm currently about 6 hours in and generally it is a positive experience. The Graphics are OK, the Sound is good, the story is good at present and everything generally works. I've had a death bug in a firefight with a fiend on Eos. The graphics do pop out every so often. But for me, gaming is about enjoying the experience and the first 1 hour or so was absolutely one of the best story openings ever in a game, IMO. Credit is due to the development team as the world appears really well detailed. The game is full of positives at the moment with very few downsides. I don't know if it's me, but the problems with games now are generally minuscule compared to years ago when they were full of technical bugs. I came from an era where games were loaded by tape, low res 8 bit graphics, movement **** etc, but the games were great. I prefer the experience to the graphics and sound etc, and on that basis, I give the game an 8 so far. Perhaps, Im a bit more forgiving because I understand what it takes to get a game to publication, perhaps others do not. The creative talent out there is absolutely tremendous, and gaming has a great future. However, to produce an error free game is extremely difficult when the games are so complicated and technical, of course, money talks. To achieve excellence is something we should all aim for, very few achieve it. Well done Bioware, great game.
The world is very confused at the moment. It is getting incredibly difficult to trust review scores. I have read the reviews and the score on this game vary widely. It is unfortunate that this game gets in the high 80's, whilst F1 2014 does everything you expect gets 64% and even the recent alien game gets a score lower than dragon age. I love F1 2014 and Alien Isolation, both graphically very competent and game play excellent, and provides fun gaming. What can I say about DA, well, the interface is basic, the graphics are very variable, the sound uninspiring, the gameplay tepid. I am working hard to try to enjoy this game, however, I will give it the benefit of doubt at present because I am only 2 hours in. But boy is it frustrating. The graphics are appalling at times, the render and textures poor, the animation not that great, controls for fighting very simple and not really advanced. I am appalled at the review companies not entirely being honest with their readers. IGN is a prime example. I love their website, however, I no longer trust their reviews. I feel other people have similar views about IGN. As per IGN, my review is in progress until I find real positives about the game. Any sponsorship by EA or BIOware will result in a good review, as per IGN. Basically, like IGN, my review is in progress, because first impressions are not that great. Not the worst game I've played but certainly not the best either. I really appreciate how much effort and time the guys/gals put in making these games, so score of anything less than 5 is unreasonable. I believe it is 6, however, I am prepared to change this in the near future if this game improves. I'm at the start of my Dragon Age journey but will the gameplay keep me satisfied.
i am enjoying this game. Never played the original. Deux Ex from Eidos is a better game. The AI is not that great at times. I have not noticed any bugs and the game plays quite nicely. The pace is varied, missons are varied. The graphics are passible but certainly add to the atmosphere of the game. This game may not be to everyones taste, those in for blast and killing stay away. it is a good stealth game. the stealth is flawed but on hardest level is a good challenge and ultimately games should be challenging. it should score between 7 and 7.5. It deserves goid sales just that it offers something different. At reduced price this would be an absolute bargin. I recommend to buy this game.
I must admit that grid2 can be hard to love. comparing with the original you would initially dismiss this new title as inferior. the driving skill required in grid2 is different to the original. the new game does not do itself any faviours initially. the style is arcade with racing by drifting. I loved the original game and ifs style of racing. I found grid 2 awkward at first. the drifting and the arcade style was not to my liking. however once you get used to this style of driving the game gets adrealin running. I am startin to really enjoy the game. the cornering is becoming a real joy to undertake. the quality if replays are excellent and a joy yo watch. it is apparant that certain costs have been reduced. the racing is intense. this game does need to time. the driving skills are to be learnt. the cabin cam has gone. it took time to get used to this. graphicz great. sound great. learning curve good and progressive. ai of driver fair but tough. to ne dispite the arcade style does eventual prove a more than adequate successor to grid. I give the game 8.5. please stick with it. well done codemasters
bioshock does look good but the Xbox really is beginning to look it's age. the presentation, sound and graphics are absolutely top notch. the art direction great although not on a par with the original game. that is the problem for me whilst playing I do admire the beautiful environment but the game fails to deliver tense fight action. so ultimately let down because I really feel let down as the first two games were excellent. this is still a good game worth buying and miles better than farcry which I again say was appalling. the best games of the year for me are dishonored, tomb raider then bioshock infinite. I give this a solid eight because although good does not raise the bar for a sequel like tomb raider did or have the excellent story telling and gameplay of dishonored.
I do like this game. but the puzzle element has disappeared. I rem the old games being in awe at the size of the rooms. I just dont get that feeling on this game. production values excellent graphics excellent. the music misses the catchy tomb raider theme. picky yes. the game play is easy even on hard. steady progress is always made without dying. I must admit I enjoyed underworld more than this even though the graphic etc are better on the new game.ccertainly for the next generation gamer that prefer little thought in their and like fast paced gaming then tomb raider is ideal. I do like the new Lara croft. games is still linear but in my opinion miles better than farcry 3 which lacked emotion poor visual. and by far for me the biggest let down. but then again I've been playing games for just over 30 years. I still enjoy my gaming but it has developed to suite the younger generation. I score tomb raider 8.5/10
I am not enjoying this game at all. it is as dull as dishwater. there is no tension in the game. the big anoying shadow around the grsphics. the water looks very poor. for me this shows how out of date the current xbox is. the sound is terrible. the main badie is annoying and hamy. the side missions boring. attack one outpost and the map becomes easy. AAA it may be but i get no feeling/tension/feedback from the game. the original farcry is still the best by a country mile. i give this six.
The game is not as bad as the reviews suggest. im playing on the hardest setting and it is a pretty good challenge. i believe this is better than the goldeneye remake. the game is not a world beater but then again mist games arnt. if your a bond fan get it. if not then still get it. The graphics i believe are better than dishonoured. i have even dropped this game to play legends. give it a go. i believe 7/10 does this game justice. the level design is excellent if on difficult setting. i love this game. stealth and action all rolled in to one
Not as bad a some pro critics claim. i have enjoyed the game. the set action scenes are terrific. the prologue level is not good but dont let that stop you. the set pieces are better than COD and battlefield. an under rated game. Critics pan a game. its then a financial flop. the reviews should be based on a tiered level similar to that used for cars where similar products are compared. some my best recent games have been these low rated games.
I love this game. people fault the ai and graphics. the game rewards with satisfaction when it is played using sniping. yet it frustrates when you go in rambo style. This should be classed as a strength of the game. you have to learn how to snipe,to plan an escape, to plan the shot and the situation. yes it has faults, but for me, this has been the most enjoyable game i have played in a long time. at the highest difficulty this is a very challeging game. well done rebellion. small developers like this deserve a chance. yes it good be more polished but the essense of the game is top notch. buy it and stick with it. its great.
I have enjoyed this game. Yes, its not the most polished, the graphics are average. however, the sound is very atmospheric as you would expect with Alien type connections. the gameplay is different providing a different slant on the first person shooter. Playing and the predator and alien is a real gameplay stroke. it makes the gameplay refreshingly different abd a change from the current alternatives on the market. The alien is incredibly difficult to control properly, not because of awkward controls but due to the games and changes in orientation to move on walls and ceiling. It takes a while for you brain to truely be at ease in this format. the game play is frustrating, because death can occur very often, particularly on the marine missions. I await a further game, but with expanded campaigns and a bit more faith in the game to generate sales. I believe with the predator and alien name, they are on to a potential blockbuster game, great game, clearly undervalued by the expert critics. it has the X Factor in a game, could have been a truely great game with a bigger buget and a bit more faith. Graphics 7.5 - average but the alien movement is excellent, Predator visual excellent, Sound 9.5 - just like the film, great gameplay - 8.0, short but the gameplay varied and different, Which is a good thing, yes. I believe gameplay is hard, which may deter some game fans, presentation 7.0, could have had a afew more option, video etc online N/A - dont play online
