This is a horror game that is neither suspenseful or scary, but most disappointingly it is not a fun game either. The gameplay is stiff, jerky, and dull and further brought down by boring game mechanics and poor visuals. Graphically, it looks like something that would have been released on the PS2, which to be fair puts it in line with Dyno Crisis 3, which this game wishes it was the spiritual successor for. The biggest threat in the game isn't a T-Rex, but instead these chihuahua sized pest that are difficult to see and move faster than the game's sluggish aim mechanic allows. This game shouldn't have been delayed, it should have been shelved and forgotten about. Even the story doesn't offer any redemption for this dino sized turd.
Needs vast improvement in the user interface and control to be enjoyable on a console. Text is hard to read and there isn’t enough contrast to let you know what you have selected in the various menus. Sometimes menus disappear or are just not accessible.
A beautiful monster hunting game that was rushed out the door and then abandoned. There is so much potential in this game only for it to be thrown to the wind like the ashes of a kemono (the game's monsters).
Decent story but no real emotion. Gameplay is generally fun but overshadowed by the repetitiveness caused by the grind. Low drop rates and lack of a pity system, shared rewards, and a meaningful in game shop make the grind so much worse than what is seen in all of the other game TFD borrows from. The cute characters, which are just reskinned models, and the real life currency transactions for more-skin skins aren't enough to keep players engaged. Adding new content and locking future progression/characters behind the hard mode will be a turn off for many.
While this game takes place in the Arkham universe, the game feels more akin to Borderlands than the game’s predecessors. The game’s story is interesting, but it is t going to throw any curve balls at you. The dialogue between the Task Force X members is humorous and the cutscenes were a lot of fun. Skill diversity, plenty of loot, and multiple (repeatable) side missions give you a lot to do. Definitely worth a play.
The first week of Early Access has been rough due to huge queues (2+ hrs) and login issues. Despite that, the game has been a lot of fun and the dungeons offer a lot of variety (especially compared to D4). There are still some areas that could be more polished, but overall it is a solid game.
