Watchable, but not very scary or suspenseful, with no plot surprises, Held together by commanding performance by Peter Cushing, Biggest weakness is lame, hairy monster design, More demerits for lots annoying supporting characters ie : the staff of the asylum and the patients, That said , Madeline Smith as Nurse Sarah is very pretty.

Total misfire, Movie is boring, with no laughs, and no fun, With Dustin and Warren look so tired, Adjani is wasted, and spends whole movie covered up, Songs are not stupid funny, They are just annoying, Only Grodin seems to have dialed into the proper comedic tone, Given the talent involved, this shouldve been so much better, At least, the movie's pace and energy does pick up in last 20 minutes, but by that time I didn't care.

Solid, suspenseful, well performed drama of a nuke plant near accident coverup aftermath. As Jane Fonda, is so comfy in her silly job, doing fluff pieces for TV news, and doesn’t want to rock the boat, But slowly grows a spine and vows to get the horrific truth out to her audience, And Jack Lemmon, old timer at nuke plant, also grows a spine ,and takes drastic measures to get the truth out no matter how much it costs. Tragic, bittersweet, sobering results ensue, Themes of corporate corruption, the press, all concerned more about money, than public safety are all laid bare.

Movie starts off slow and clunky, with dull subplots, but once SWAT arrives the film becomes gripping and intense, With brutal, in your face crowd panic stampede scenes with hundreds of extras, and bloody shocking violence, Charlton Heston and John Cassavettes command the screen as police captain and SWAT commander try to stop a sniper at championship football game, I like the attention to detail of SWAT tactics and methods,

Slight, but heartfelt romantic comedy, Very fluffy at times, but also quite emotional, I loved the on location NYC scenes, the non stop tracking shots from cabs and stars walking down scenic Manhattan streets, Creates a reality that counteracts some of the schmaltz. Amusing movie. As Walter Matthau, a womanizing dentist asks his assistant, Ingrid Bergman, to pose as his wife, so he can continue his affair with Goldie Hawn, Awkwardly amusing situations ensue, Movie bouyed by its' likeable stars, and one big laugh out loud moment, Star making performance by the charming Goldie Hawn as a naive ditz who soon wises up real fast, Most surprising, a wonderful comedic turn by Ingrid Bergman, And yeah, you can see the ending coming a mile away, but it’s still fun getting there.

Watchable, but never scary. Some tense scenes, some campy ones. Anchored by solid performances by the 3 leads, and a very creepy music score. Best moments are small ones, like static on phone calls, doors blowing off hinges from the inside, wads of cash go missing.. And one big shocking nightmare sequence.

Watchable, but with lots of bland scenes and psycho babble dialogue, What keeps it riveting are Oliver Reed and Samathan Eggar, They are magnetic, However , there are no real scares, The brood are silly looking, Especially wearing their colorful jumpsuits, That said, there are still some shocking practical effects involving Eggar.

I haven't seen this in decades, It is still as Intense and gripping as ever, Even more impressed by Hoffman, Olivier and Scheider, Still shocking brutal violence, I love the gritty, realistic New York on location shooting,

I was a huge fan of Poltergeist, I saw the sequel when it came out in May 1986. I was hugely disappointed. The likeable Freeling family have become annoying bores. Facting a lame villain and more annoying characters. Filled with embarassing fx, and no scares, And the climatic visit to The Other Side , is so silly and ineptly designed and executed, it was comical.

Solid documentary, Wise to show Stones performanes of all their hits at the beginning, then cuts back tthe last minute slapdash set up of a free concert at Altamont Speedway, Documenting the drug alcohol fueled escalating violence, starting the afternoon, and resulting in stabbing of concert goer by Hells Angels, Colossal miscalcuation by Stones, and the promoter by hiring criminal thugs Hells Angels as security, Exciting pumped up concert music vibe gives way to a somber, horrific end to the 60's, The nail in the coffin of the flower power hippe love era.

Movie is dialogue heavy , due to its' stage origins, But redeemed by some truly heartbreaking acting by Bad Seed's mom, and the drunk woman who lost her son. The creepy loathsome psycho little girl projects menace, but often, her campy overacting hurts the impact of the movie. A movie has some still very shocking events, and a subject matter that was edgy for its' time. And add me to the list of people upset with the studio imposed tacked on ridiculous ending, followed by the warm friendly smiling cast introductions.

Impressive, Epic, Eye-filling, Large scale scenes on the battlefield, and in the cities, Live action , no CGI, with literally a cast of thousands, You Are There realism, filled with incredible details, The cinematography is stunning, Every shot is beautifully composed, The story is similar to The Patriot ( 2000 ), as Al Pacino brings conviction to his role. One of the most underrated movies of 1985.

I like how these moments unfold in a true to life fashion. You deal with the emotional issues, and eventually move on. The bittersweet ending undescores the movie's realistic approach to mid life crisis, marriage and family..

Movie is trashy and campy, With jokey villians and too much cussing, And the lovely Deborah Raffin needs more screentime, But Bronson brings his awesomeness, With the help of a .45 Super Hand Cannon , a WW2 Browning 60, and a rocket launcher, There's decent serviceable action scenes, And movie pushes all the right buttons regarding crime and injustice.

Movie is compelling, sometimes very intense, An above average werewolf tale, with lots of humor, decent fx, and empathetic performances, I like that story unfolds over 6 months, Narrated by one of the characters. Solid, satisfying climax,

Found this slightly better than last time I saw this almost 35 years ago, Two highlights : the positive message about self reliance, and Fox's super hot blonde girlfriend, But overall, movie is barely amusing, and has a mean spirited, bullying tone throughout.

Movie is watchable, mostly for the likeable John Cusack, As he overcomes his heartbreak of losing a rotten ex, when he meets French girl who restores his self esteem, Movie is loaded with gags and slapstick, And some fantasy animated sequences , No big laughs, Most of the gags are barely amusing, And some just misfire big time.

Amusing Western comedy, Lots of high energy, colorful characters, and loads of slapstick, Movie has fun skewering lots of Western movie conventions, Holding it all together is James Garner, in one of his most appealing roles, With his easy going charm matched with his lethal quick draw marksmanship, But oddly, his expert aim seems to be lost in the climactic gunfight.
