Willy's Wonderland8

An absolute blast! Delivers on what it promises, and exceeds expectation. The lone, silent hero is given the perfect stage with the perfect beat down opportunities. It's a FUN watch more than anything, recommended for group-watching and Halloween-time.

Better Watch Out2
Dec 11, 2020
It's been a while since a movie's made me feel physically ill, to the point where I wish this movie came with a warning- "Viewers must like torture porn & deplorable characters". I love horror and sinister characters, but I'm having a hard time thinking of anyone finishing this movie and saying 'Wow, that was a BLAST!'. It's not. It was hard to sit through, and it only sunk lower. Filmmakers have a choice to consider their audience, and even if a story is told well: Is it WORTH telling? Is there comeuppance? The blow at the end of the movie that leaves audiences with a sense of satisfaction? In the case of Better Watch Out, no, there isn't.

★ A dark, surreal comedy out of Scotland, brought by a cast & director who knew what they wanted & grabbed it. Explosive with visuals & rap, with a surprising twist of the sinister. Always wondered what the boys in Stand By Me would be like, drug fueled & hunted...

★ Reality... is a thing. Superbly casted with some of the greatest performances of character actors of the past decade. A huge congratulations to John Carrol Lynch for the film. Of course, Stanton carries the film in a way only he could. Bravo, Harry. We sure miss you.
