Recently got this game and it is absolutely wonderful. It has a wonderful, vibrant atmosphere and it's gameplay/structure is addictive and easy to get into. I haven't played the other installments in this series but I may now, after enjoying this one. The mechanics of the game, while simple, are effective and satisfying. My gripes with this game is the camera angles and use of the Wii U GamePad. The camera angles are only a slight annoyance, but I do not enjoy having to constantly switch between the gamepad and the TV. Other than that this game is great! Recommended to everyone who wants something a little different.

Easily one of the best games I've ever played. The gameplay always seems fresh and there is always new stuff to explore. Although it is a bit repetitive- I believe that's so you can get enough material to upgrade your ships. It's for farming purposes only. The game looks beautiful and is pleasing to the eye. The jokes/humor in the game is refreshing and well timed. I truly enjoy this game- and I'm only 1/20th in. That's another thing- this game is HUGE. It will take me a while before I can beat it. Gives me something to do.

A very pretty and great game, gameplay wise. Yet it has one issue- it just doesn't FEEL like a Souls game. It is hard to describe. The bosses are either too easy or generic. Voice acting is great, the hidden walls and secrets are wonderful. Music is great. It was really just the bosses and some technological issues, like graphics and bad hitboxes on some weapons. PVP has some issues with it's structuring. Otherwise an enjoyable game that I would recommend to any Souls fan as it improves on some gameplay and lore. Also REALLY make you regret some decisions. Trust me.
