Buy the Japanese version if possible. The English version is censored, lacks certain DLCs, and voice acting is simply not as good. Hardest route in Fates --- great if you want a challenge, but not if you want a good story since it's the worst out of the 3.
Very good way to introduce someone to fire emblem. The game doesn't do anything wrong and its only problem is that it doesn't excel at anything. It's a steadfast entry to this series and offers high replayability --- enough to get hooked for hours and hours.
I heard that there's a 300-page PDF that explains the settings - would love to get my hands on that.
Not much else to add here compared to my reviews for each individual route. The story is bland (like most fire emblem stories) but it doesn't do anything egregious. Replayability is really where this game stands out --- there's so much to experiment and the game gives you a lot of freedom to do that.
The best story within the franchise so far (very low bar), but replayability is low. However the attempt to not make a golden route is respectable and most of the leaders' views have merits.
Story's a bit bland when you know what's coming during that part, but it does everything well. It's not a game that offers that best in any aspect, but it is the top 3 when it comes to everything that matters.
Best star wars game once you download the restored content mods so that some of the stuff make more sense.
Very personal story that introspects as much as explores a new part of the galaxy.
Cool villains with weird powers and odd philosophies. Kreia is wrong and it's up to you to prove that she's wrong.
The golden route where no one (except for one unit) has to die.
The story is Fates quality --- tons of meme-able material and is just bland and not horrible.
Offers some of the most enjoyable gameplay experience in the franchise.
Usually needs the DS eshop to purchase which is unavailable right now.
No choices imported from the first two games, completely ignoring player history and investment.
Bland dialogue that feels lifeless and uninspired.
Even blander story --- shallow, predictable, and utterly forgettable.
None of the companions are interesting. How they fumbled a Grey Warden companion is beyond me.
Characters look ugly and poorly designed. You can give them good hair but not much else.
Crammed in awkward, unasked-for moments like Isabela returning to do push-ups.
I wonder who's the audience the developers were trying to please.
