very simple game, not much substance, and very short. even at $15 its too expensive, maybe one day when it gets added as a "free" game somewhere, play it and enjoy your 2 hour, otherwise dont buy it
great innovative puzzle game that slowly gets more complex. Eventually though it does get repetitive and eventually i lost the motivation to continue doing the same puzzle but in a different form. The novelty of it eventually runs out of steam.
i had high hopes for Ocean's heart, but it was clear from the get-go that a polished game, this is not. First off the controls are just plain wonky, why is "action" the same button as "roll" with no option to separate the two? most of the times i'm rolling when im trying to talk to someone, or talking to a sign when i'm trying to roll... WHYYY?? speaking of rolling, the game has no run button but the roll does make you faster. meaning you're just constantly mashing roll everywhere you go. third, the quests are absolutely terrible. Your "mission" from the get-go is just unimaginative. The quests all boil down to.. oh you should talk to X, maybe they know what to do. then you proceed to go to X. which then forwards the quest. "you should go to Y" which then proceeds to you to the next part. Sidequests? just as boring. "hey someone over there wants you to get something", goes to npc, "hey, i want you to get get this for me" like.. what. who writes these dialogue? everything is just mediocre. Skip this one even if it was free.
this is how you do two player co-op correctly. The fact that you have unlimited lives also makes this a great game to play with someone not as skilled in platforming. Currently going through the mission with my girlfriend and shes having a blast (usually she gets frustrated when she dies often). Memorable characters as well, cant recommend this enough for some couch co-op.
excellent arcade style rally game. I'm not a hardcore rally fan and i can see how the more arcade-y feel can put some people off, but for those people that are more into the casual scene, this is the one to play.
i also had high hopes from this game after finishing Hades. While I can see that this is a great game for rogue-like fans, it just wasn't cutting it for me. Charming characters.. but after awhile there wasn't enough there to keep me going for more.
storyline is mediocre at best, and gameplay just doesn't hold up in a world where Hades exists. I tried to give it a chance (4 hours of gameplay) but all it ended up doing was make me long for another hades run. Fans of the genre will most likely enjoy it to an extent, but gameplay was too repetitive for me to continue
Addicting rogue-like RPG with town building / skill leveling. Keeps you coming back for more. I'm only docking 1 point because unlike what others say, i'm not a fan of the art direction. I do enjoy a good pixel art (looking at you ****) this one has something missing for me, maybe i am too young to appreciate the ultra-retro art style, but overall its still a solid game! PLEASE BRING THIS GAME TO MOBILE!
the game just drops you in the middle of the anime/manga with barely any explanation. The entire game is just a way for fans to "re-live" moments in the game with a splash of RPG built in it. Hard to enjoy unless you are the biggest fan of the series.. and even then, its only good for a really bored day when you have nothing else to play.
absolute blast of a "pinball rpg" style game where you can get stronger by getting new skills and abilities. The game is designed for a more casual crowd that is fun to pick up and play. The entire quest is pretty short but at the end of your run you get new characters that change the game quite significantly.
Excellent casual game to play with the girlfriend. In the beginning it was difficult to understand how to play since the sandbox style game lets you figure things out on your own, and for the longest time I could not figure out how to build a simple house (all pixels need to be covered), but once we got the ball rolling it was a jolly good time!
What an amazingly polished and cared for game. Do yourself a favor and look up what the one man team Eric from Concerned Ape went through to build this game. It was a labor of love and it SHOWS. This one man team put many many large teams to shame (i'm looking at you Harvest Moon)
Hits you right in the nostalgia bone correctly... but doesn't do much more after that. I bought this game to play online but the only people that play online now are those that can hit 10million combos, making it very hard as a casual. After beating both 1 & 2 i'm satisfied with the gameplay but i dont see myself playing it anymore until i get nostalgic about it again in 5 years+
Fun... to an extent. It does get repetitive after awhile, but until you get to that point, you'll have an absolute blast. New updates keep coming out as long as people keep playing it.
I'm late to the scene, but i am hooked! I didn't get a chance to start playing until it went free to play, but the game has been pretty amazing. I'm only a gold league but i'm learning new ball tricks and skills everyday.
Same same but.. worst. Gun leveling has been nerfed to boredom levels, uninspiring maps, the health bar on top of people you shoot is a welcomed change, but everything else is a downgrade.
I can see where they are going with the game, but the world just doesn't **** me in the same way Witcher 3 did or Red Dead 2. The glitches randomly happening also definitely takes away from it. Shame this is the state of the game today.
Absolutely terrible. Unmemorable characters, this game doesn't deserve the harvest moon game, yet again does any harvest moon nowadays? If you don't know (who doesn't know by now?) the original team that does harvest moon now goes by the game Story of Seasons, so now harvest moon is just a game only similar by name. I don't know who signed off on these harvest moon story lines but they need to just stop.
Let me just tell you that anyone leaving this game less than a perfect score either didn't understand the game or didn't take the time to understand the genre. Yes you will die.. a lot, but the game will keep you coming back for more. Let's not even talk about the story.. this is how you do good dialogue!! GOTY for me for sure, i loved it so much that i went to the trouble of making a meta critic account just so i can write about it.
