Laughably bad. I just finished the game and truly didn't enjoy it compared to F:NV/FO3. Here are my reasons: 1) The introduction was fantastic, but the rest of the game never captured the story in a similar way. 2) Side quests in FO3/F:NV were far more interesting. 3) The landscape was extremely repetitive. Every area seemed like a borderline copy/paste job. I thought there would be more variation. 4) The voice acting was stiff. 5) The theme was not as interesting. 6) The land, being as large as it was, seemed extremely empty. 7) Base building is cumbersome and unnecessary. 8) I thought colors should've been more vibrant. It was dull in a neutral way. Washed out without a theme. 9) Weapons were extremely boring. You get a power armor WAY too soon in the game.
Yeah, sorry, this doesn't cut it. I tried the game with an open mind and it's not compelling whatsoever. I played for 20 minutes and couldn't wati to get out of the gam.e
If Blizzard's name on this, no one would be drooling over this. The gameplay is far too easy, shallow, and repetitive. Nice atmosphere but the music is not memorable.
I appreciate the art direction, but only at first. There's simply not enough content in this game. The slow pacing drags the already seemingly uninspired direction into a lethargic territory. I would not recommend it (it's short, too).
Absolutely boring. Besides the somewhat nice graphics, the environment is dull, the story is boring, at no point did I feel engaged, the animations are horrendous when in a cut scene, voice acting is okay, game play is repetitive, and had tacked on sci-fi. All three of these games are boring and represent the lifelessness of current gaming.
Absolutely phenomenal. It kept me engaged the entire time. Rarely did it get boring, though (for me) it got a bit difficult at times fighting. Good story, brutal fighting, memorable moments, great score, etc.
The game becomes extremely linear half way through. The, admittedly, diverse space station becomes tiring after awhile. The guns are cool for a bit, then lose their touch. The story is very straight forward. Not enough content to keep my interest over the full 10 hours.
A great plat former with a surprising amount of difficulty. I still prefer the original games, but this is a fun time. The levels are unique! Music, while not very memorable, was complementary to the ride. Not much replay value once you beat it.
An overrated game, though I am reviewing it 7 years later from release. The plot is pretty poor, the characters are extremely boring, I don't have empathy for anyone here. The gravity gun is fun for a bit, then it is used outside of what is expected from the developers - I was using it to make staircases, and have other "fun" outside of the scripted level. Very good at the time, but now somewhat boring.
Starts out with an unnecessary, and hypocritical bang, and doesn't get much better. The characters are stiff in my eyes, though have well developed background stories. The fighting is fun at first, but the game is far too easy and fighting becomes very expected (hint: if you see barriers, you're in for a boring fight). Hacking is interesting, then repetitive and dull. The story is not enough to fill up the lengthy gameplay. Annoying bugs.
Not that great. I am a fan of some sandbox games, but the genre is very saturated. Red Dead has an interesting premise but the landscape is far too boring. The endless desert is repetitive, there are few unique locations, and the "vehicles" do not make it better. The story was not great, and the graphics could use improvement. Pretty okay voice acting, though.
