The Boys: Season 36
Jul 21, 2024
There'saconsiderable drop in quality compared to season 2. Acting is still very good, but the writing took a turn for the worse.

The Boys: Season 42
Jul 21, 2024
Now this was disappointing. What a terrible season. Writing was VERY bad. The actors are trying so hard to keep it afloat, but the writing has tanked dramatically. The pacing is weird, very inconsistent. Random characters get so much unneeded screen time. Weird situations and events that are contributing nothing to the story.

The Mandalorian: Season 31
Apr 6, 2023
This season is just one boring episode after another. Shallow characters we care nothing about dominate whole episodes. Dialogue is corny. Din Djarin and Bo Katan feel very 1 dimensional. Literally NOTHING happens in most episodes. The season doesn't have an end goal, something the viewer can aspire to. Perhaps that's by design, but it makes the show seem aimless and multiplies the boredom. Many times I asked myself "why the fk am I watching this. It's SW and it's cool but there's literally nothing interesting going on!" I have lost all motivation to finish the season, best of luck to all people who still enjoy watching it, I genuinely wish that you are entertained and have a good time. Peace

Started off extremely strong, but went downhill very fast. Currently (EP 7) is approaching the point of excruciating boredom and redundancy.

The Last of Us: 1 Left Behind2

Very boring episode. I agree it showed >some< aspects of Ellie's character, but unfortunately, nothing interesting. It wasn't boring because it didn't have any action, it was boring because it didn't show something interesting.

The Witcher: Season 27
Dec 24, 2021
Disclaimer * I haven't read the books, but I've played the games. Season 2 is not particularly exciting. * The dialogue quality still suffers from the same issues as season 1. * The plot can be incomprehensible at times, but not as much as in S1. * Some plotlines are straight-up useless (e.g. Dara) and some useless scenes. * Selective cast diversity continues, with many darker-skinned actors with weird accents being part of a dark, cloudy and wintery land, yet no Asian actors. But it's far from a "bad show" as many angry fans are labeling it. The plot pacing and direction have improved a lot from Season 1. There is definitely a continuity in the episodes, and sense of direction. Acting is generally ok, I personally enjoy Cavill's Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, Jaskier, Triss, Vesemir, Dijkstra, Cahir are all very easy to watch. Fringila, Vingelfortz, Triss, Tissaia and the other mages are very mediocre. Francesca, Filavandrel, Dara, generally the elves, are very bad, thankfully they don't get a lot of screentime. I don't agree with the cast selection and the producer's "diversity for the sake of diversity" policy, it's annoying at times (Dara, I'm looking at you), but in my eyes it's not enough to condemn the show. Overall, it's about 10 hrs of entertainment, we've had a lot of fun watching it, and I'd say it's definitely worth a watch. Probably it's not going to be memorable, but it doesn't have to be.

Loki2
Jul 14, 2021
Unfortunately, Loki is a huge let-down. SFX are cinema-level, sound/music is very good, the art direction is also interesting.
The writing is VERY weak; there are non-sensical fights all the time just to nimble away run time and introduce the "illusion" of content, but they are a total waste of time as nothing comes out of it, just our characters running away. Owen Wilson is just completely irrelevant and just doesn't fit in the whole show at all. The dialogue is as 1-dimensional as it can get and most of the time is just too "blaaah"; Loki or some other 2ndary character explaining or remembering stuff that is neither here nor there and that the viewer cares nothing about. The characters are boring. Just plain boring. Sylvie is constantly angry and tryhards so much to be a badass it's almost a Mary Sue. Loki is completely out of character; he's a dumbed-down version of Loki in MCU. Every time the show tries to give a story some closure, something radical happens and poof, new adventures that serve only to postpone our main character's journey and new characters we don't care about. Generally, I'd say it's a show that doesn't really know what it is, why was it written and what it wants to give the viewer. There's no thrill, no suspense, no enganging story or characters and nothing new about Loki. 2/10 : Not worth watching at all / waste of time.

Direction - 5/10
Plot/Writing - 3/10
Characters - 5/10
Performances - 7/10
Wow! factor - 6/10
Cringe/cliche factor - 7/10 I'd say it is watchable, but only barely. Performance from Garner (Ruth) is highly commendable, but also performances from almost all other actors are quite good, considering the very weak writing. Basically the actors are holding the series standing, at least in my view. The series pilot is amazing, but then the plot quickly mires down. Overall, although the show tries to sell itself as realistic, it is not at all. 1. Characters undergo HUGE transformations in no time and without consequences. 2. Some characters rise from "zero-to-hero" in a matter of 1-2 episodes and their status among the other characters is automatically set to the "hero" level. 3. The writing is very weak, filled with plotholes, unintuitive & unexplained behaviour. 4. Sometimes, character lines are citing facts that are directly contradicting facts presented to the viewer 2 scenes before, and the discrepancy is NEVER resolved. 5. The direction with the faint blue filter becomes very, very tiresome; the viewer cannot distinguish between times of day, which may be intended, but annoying nonetheless. 6. Towards the middle of the 2nd season and onwards women take a clear lead in the series, but not in a negative, feministic/SJW way. However from towards the end of the 2nd season, one of the leading female protagonists is increasingly boosted by the writers. She has traumatic experiences that scar people for life, yet she suffers no side effects. Her decision making and hunch are almost infallible. Mary Sue-like. TL;DR
This is not Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul. Not by a long shot. Not even by approximation. Watch it as a standalone series and keep your expectations very low.

Continuum (2012): Season 33
May 10, 2015
This show was quite promising and the first season was very good, however it has steadily degraded. The quality of the story has fallen dramatically. Like physical time travel wasn't itself a difficult concept to deal with story-wise (creating obscene paradoxes), the whole "Freelancers" thing and the apparent ability to physically transfer/skip through time backwards and forwards like a bloody mix tape, makes the plot look it has more holes than a flour sifter. P.S.: Poor Kiera. I've come to feel so sorry for the main character that I actually want her to actually die (the character, not the actress) and let the show be over that way; she's literally in a constant miserable state, without a shred of light in the horizon.
