For starters, THIS GAME IS BEAUTIFUL
I haven't been this blown away by visas, lighting or anything for a long time.
On top of that the gameplay is great, buttery smooth, everything flows, the Swarm AI is amazing and I love watching the nids scramble up the side of a wall to get to me.
The story is great, ties up the loose ends of the first beautifully. Saber knew the world of Warhammer and they poured unbelievable love into this.
This truly is a blessed time to be alive for a warhammer fan or just a fan of sci fi gaming. PICK. IT. UP.
Let me start by saying this game is not Euro Truck Sim 2 so do not think you're going to be building a company. This is more a systems manager and a trucking game, you'll be checking your systems constantly and might also be truckin' in the dark with zero gravity with a box hitting your face. That being said I love it. The gameplay can be relaxing, music is brilliant and this game is so beautiful! However, my one gripe is the alignment on the mag locking. It can be annoying to get used to but you do get your eye in to it eventually, then you go for a repair and find out you're off by .1 of a meter and you cannot fix it to save your life. Once you do it though it does feel rewarding. Could this game knock Euro Truck from its throne? Absolutely not. But this game doesn't feel like its trying to do that.
The devs want you to get lost in this world and role play a Star Trucker and they do it very well with the CB (I love that feature by the way, 10/10 for that). For the price this is very worth it, I can think of many more games that cost more than this and you would not get the same experience.
Its also on Game Pass so definingly worth it.
Also if you have three screens, go for it. This game looks amazing across three screens. I'll give it a 10-4 and sign off!
Great game, Awesome and funky style to it, music is great and the comedy is that golden sweet spot between funny and charming, the characters are likeable and distinct. The actual timing of attacks is on par with Metal: Helsinger and BPM, its fluid, crisp and never feels like you're being cheated out of an attack. Using your allies to break shields gives it a fresh breath of air.
Also this is one of the only games where the parry has an audible AND visible notification on when to parry, meaning its actually fun to parry and super satifying, the rhyth'em up genre has a new king! its well worth the pick up if you have game pass or not.
Long time Race Driver: GRID (It'll always be known as that to me) fan here and I have loved the series since the first game and even as recent as last year I replayed the first game and it felt like it had a lot of personality and soul and joy invested into it. Can I say the same for GRID: Legends. Not really. While not necessarily a bad game, in fact the physics engine is a massive step up from 2019 it feels...Soulless. I don't feel like I'm progressing a team here I feel as if I'm just going through events one after the other. Every Grid since GRID 2 has felt the same and I feel Codies have lost their way with the series. My Advice? Go back to Race Driver: GRID. Re-learn what made that game so great. Build on it. I'd Love to see more team customisation and more of a feeling of progression. This is a series I have a real soft spot for but I'm afraid that its slowing becoming a cookie cutter cash in.
Lets start by saying that you can get through the main campaign in about 3-4 hours. That being said this game has a lot of replayability. This is an arena shooter but with Max Payne Slow mo and on roller skates. At first the movement can seem a tad janky but once you start flowing with the movement it is a blast. Never has movement since Titianfall 2 been this satisfying. The graphics are cell shaded and this gives a very distinct look to the game, soundtrack is phenomenal and suits it very well. The story is told through text as well as narration (Through radios, etc) and you get the feeling that your a small cog in something bigger. Overall this game is a 10/10 for me and so far my top game of 2022!
JUST LET THIS KILL ITSELF I love hockey, I'm british and a Leafs fan so you can imagine I live for this sport. so I wanted to be a goalie and save my beloved Leafs all the way to the playoffs. On ROOKIE difficulty...THAT'S ROOKIE DIFFICULTY. I thought it wouldn't be that bad. MAN WAS I IN FOR A BAD TIME. every single shot is a rebound from the opposing team and my defence is useless, offence is worse and then the opposing goalie is some kinda magician who just stops everything why it looked like I have pads the are 50 times to small for me, I make great save but then it just rolls on in, it bounces off my glove to a opposing player and he just slots it in because my movement is too slow and then I get benched and its just the worst ting imaginable. average scores are as follows: My team:3 opposing team:8 not because I'm not trying its because every single one is a rebound. Do not buy this game if you enjoy hockey in anyway. They should give this to prisoners at guantanamo bay its that torturing, you hug the post the AI score on your outside, you leave a slither between you and the post the AI finds a way, AI shoots for five hole, I butterfly and its always scored with "high blocker" I genuinely think its easier to just get drafted into the NHL instead of play this.
