I have bought it a long a time ago on steam but just started to play it now. I know the game was mess at release, but now it is great. I have not technical problems at all with the ubi launcher, and no other gamplay issue like bugs or freezes. The graphics is like wow. The atmosphere of and map builds with the little dedails like stattue carved inthe rocks, little ponds stc is breathtaking. You can just take minutes just to look at the scenere. The animations are also nice, I like the variety with the luck bonus. It is generally servicable, but nothing fancy. We can argue about the streamlined gamplay, personally I like it. I like the town transformation, it makes absolute sense and also the area control. I think if you play it on hard you will need more careful tactics in the battles, but yes, heroes 5 required a lot more thinking and was less forgiving. But it still very very good. The only negative things are that some sounfs are missing. Like the sound of the ship when it moves and some units give no sound when they move. This is really strange since traveling with ships is quite commons, so maybe this chouce was inetional, but I still miss the shhhhh shhhh shhhh when it moves :) Great game guys do not hesitate to buy it if you see it on sale!

Actually I am fan of Piranha Bites Games, biggest Fan of Gothic and Risen. I like the atmosphere and game mechanics of those games. The reason I give zero point is the set of this World. Futuristic Fantasy belongs to the 80s and should have left there. I see no reasn for a mix like this today, I just simply cannof feel the immersion. They wasted a huge amount of time and resource to create this mess. The should have made a medieval Gothic type RPG, no lasers no post apoc, no Pirate stuff that I hated in Risen 2/3. Again if the creators read this: Make Gothic next time!

The gamge is absolutely brilliant. Beautiful graphic, interesting dialogs. Best RPG of this decade. Cannot be compared to the first game, that is also good, but this one will come up like the best rpgs ever

I have just started the game and I love it. I missed a game like this so much since Eschalon Book. The atmosphere and the world is good. For this price this game worth every penny for it. Yes it is rare gem!

I really like the Gothic series and Risen 1 and I tried this game first when it came out and I rage quit and unistalled it. Then there was a discount on steam and I bought it to give it a second chance. I did not regret it! The game is very deep and addictive. The scenery of Calador with the green fires and lava is amaizing. The developers made a huge mistake with the intorduction of the game. It forces you into the pirate theme, they drop you into action in a linear introductory story immediately without properly explaining fighting and the possibilitea to improve it, and it does not show you the depth and beautiy of the game in the first hours. HUGE DESIGN MISTAKE! Because the game itself is really good once you manage to develope your skills and understand the Gothic like game system. If the game started on Calador with a more like medieval theme and more armor and clothes customization with a better stoury indroduction the Game would have gotten better scores. I wish they made another real Gothic like RPG with a classic orc-human-monsters fantasy based world with this or better graphics, AAA voice acting Gothic 3 sized world.... Witcher 3 is not even close to this in terms of exploration/rewarding system, game mechanics.
