This game could be a 10, but it certainly has it's flaws. The combat is lifted straight out of the Batman Arkham series. Which although good for groups of combatants, can be very wonky. Literally rolling into walls over and over. Refusing to jump off buildings. Chase imaginary targets etc. Though it gets the job done. It's story is great, it's leveling system is good. But the thing that really let's this otherwise great game down is it's over reliance on loot boxes. It is arbitrarily grindy, and will pump up it's difficulty (after a couple of hours of playing). These unnecessary additions are just to get you to buy loot boxes. It's not as bad as EA's games on it's loot box greed. But not too far from it. Sad really, as it destroys an other wise great game. And this is coming from a slight fan of Lord of the Rings, not a franchise fan boy. This game will give you your monies worth, but it will frustrate you with it's controls and loot boxes fascination.

I I tested this in Beta, and was blocked from advancing in co-op after 30 minutes. Thought it was just a Beta thing. Then it was confirmed even single player was blocked because of EA's loot box greed. Then I found out the campaign was only 4 hours. Worse than that the Elite "cannon" solider actually turned to the republic very early in the story. EA has a history of killing game franchises. They changed KOTOR ,sold us SWTOR Then continued to maul ME, that upcoming single player game every Star Wars fan was dreaming about, and now BF. EA's business model, strip down the game, maximize profit, to the point of destroying it. If Disney wants to keep Star Wars a top draw, they need to give this to a company, who actually knows how to make a great game without alienating your customers. EA doesn't make games, they make skins for addicted gamblers to claim they are playing a game. That's why their games are so stripped down and the exact same every year. They also destroyed Madden, and FiFA and the other sports games. But at least their profit margin is up.

I really want to like this game. It has so much potential. It has many heroes to unlock. It has RPG feel and is simple enough in design for most to enjoy. But then it's love for rogue like games probably steps in and destroys the game. Essentially if you die, you start over. If you take too long on your chosen route, you die and start over. The way it's done you don't feel like it's skill based. You feel more like it's just memorization and RNG luck. So it just seems to be missing that special something that all the classic games have that keep you coming back.

I picked this game up for free this month from the Xbox store. It's a game that has potential. Especially if you like the Marvel Alliance reboot game for XB1. The game feels like a slimed down version of that. It has the same feel. It has it's share of bugs and such, but you will realize it's a pay to play game as soon as you hit level 10 on one hero. At this point, you character is prevented from leveling up. And you can't unlock that until you earn enough points. Which at the rate points are unlocked, would be about the same time you get every single hero in the game to level 10. At which point you will either buy the points with real money or probably uninstall the game.

This game has a lot of potential. I picked it up because I feel every console needs family friendly sports games like the old consoles had. Pros: Easy to play and pick up, and fun for a quick laugh with friends and family in co-op or friendly PVP. The online experience should be fun if your into that, but I don't know as that is not my thing. Cons: There just isn't enough here to keep you playing. The card packs are a nice touch, but you only have exhibition, and tournament modes. Without a season, there just doesn't really seem to be any reason to keep playing. The controls and rules seem wonky. You will often find you hit a perfect shot, in the green on the meter. Only to see your guy miss for no apparent reason. Then you will hit a perfect shot, and get 9 points for being totally out of the shot meter. Then ranking of players seem messed up. You will get a legend like Shaq and wonder how he is a legend, when all the things he is supposed to be good at, never work. Especially since everyone steals the ball from him the second you pass it to him. So until they add a season or something with more staying power, I would buy this game when it's on a big sale. It's fun, but without a season and championship, it feels pointless, and you will have no real reason to play.

This is made by the makers of "Letter Quest" and it shows. It is just one of those 3 in a row gem/"magic cards" games. Throw in the RPG character building and "story" with all the easy ways it allows you to earn stuff and you have a surprisingly addictive game. I have only played about 8 hours and I have not seen the have to pay others were talking. It does charge gold. But that gold is earned for free, by doing quest and winning matches. You earn 4 free types of currency that build different things. it has real money options, but I have not had to use those at all yet. I enjoy PVE and that is great on this. But the game also has PVP for those who require that. And it has guilds to help you earn more free stuff. This is a fantastic F2P game if you like Gems/Magic Cards/RP type games. It's probably better on the phone, but it's surprisingly fun and addictive on XB1.

Oddly the cards seem too small for me (even on a 24" tv) & and I don't think there is an option to fix it. It has an option to undo moves, but I haven't figured out how to do that. Still good for those who want to play Solitaire on Xb1.

As XB1 doesn't seem to have the issues in those videos. At least not the extreme cases. It does have some animation wonkieness and the bodies stand like puppets from far angles. But all the Mass Effect games have that odd animation issues. So far it's not the best in the Mass Effect series. For me that's 2. But it's pretty good. So I give it an 8.

I have not had a crash and neither have any family members. So they must have patched it. The only down side on this is it cost me $14.99 plus tax on the XB1 store, when steam had it $5 dollars less and doesn't charge taxes. But at least on XB1 myself and other family members can be playing on multiple XB1's at the same time and unlike Steam no one get's booted from a shared title.

If your interested in learning to play guitar this game will help you, as you use a real guitar, with a modified HDMI chord you can plug into your XB1. No lag issues that haunted previous versions, so no need for a sound bar or stereo anymore. I am glad Ubisoft gave this as a free patch to those who previously purchased the game. A decent first step. Now if they would just learn to lower the price of songs/song packs they could make a ton of money. Think Wal-Mart, lower prices sell tons more. Which would make Ubisoft and the person who owns the rights to the songs a lot more money. At the current price of $3.99 a song. I only buy the songs I absolutely want. At .50 cents - $1 I would of bought all the songs. I'm guessing most others would have also. The new stuff added is nice. Really nice touches for hardcore fans. I would like to see a DLC that allows us to buy the mini games from the first Rocksmith. Chords of the dead or whatever it is called makes me practice chords. The 2014 practice games don't interest me in the slightest. I would also love the option of doing those "concerts" again with encores if you did well.

I have to rate this game 2 times. 1 for the game. 2 for the price. I rate this game as an 8 for it's content. But Activision decided to release both 10 year old games and instead of being listed as backwards compatible , they are "new" and asking for a new game AAA price. That price gouging should get a 0, but the game is solid as a co-op super hero rpg beat em up, and that practice should give it a 2. Just get each of them on sale for less than 10 bucks and you should be happy.

If you like Risk, this is a great game for you. I play it with family/friends for local co-op. The console version looks good and the UI is nice. Ubisoft has you register, but I have Rocksmith and several of their board games and their rewards system makes it kind of tolerable. This game uses a 6 die system, so the results are often illogical (30 attackers losing to 1 defender). Card turn in's throw huge #'s on the board. So this game isn't very strategic, and ebbs and flows a ton. But this is a classic board game worth having on console IMO.

It gives you some actions to do during combat but it's all about the story. It's best to buy the whole story as the chapters are very short and you save money buying the whole package. As a bonus, it saves your options and lets you see what percentage of other players shared your morals or lack of thereof.

It concept is simple, you and (whatever friends are playing with you) are cooks. You have to work as a team to get orders in on time. There are several levels and each level throws in obstacles like dividers that move every so often, so team work wins the day. This game just reminds me of so many of the other great indie games out there like Prison Architect, Escapist, Rimworld, and Epic Manager (I hope the last 2 make it to XB1), that are low on graphics but great on replay and game value. This one seems simple, just get coins, have peasants build stuff, then escape to a new 2d side scrolling area. But how you build determines your followers ability to defend and expand your lands. So there is a lot of subtle strategy. This is a great game to add to your collection, but I'd recommend it for 9 bucks or less.

This is another free app, with micro transactions, that are happily coming to XB1. As long as you turn off your purchase ability in XB1 options it is free 2 play. It's a Texas, no hold em type of poker game. It has PVE and it has online multiplayer. It is a good game, but I couldn't finish the tutorial because of a bug, and I can't seem to get reads from the NPC players, thus I give it a 6. I don't gamble so the PVE was great for me to learn/enjoy the game. I imagine the serious gamblers trade skins or in app purchase money for real money like Steam players do. Similar to Escapist and essentially makes this, 2 games for the price of one. In this mode you earn rep points, can spend them to recruit, upgrade your gang, burn down, force you way out or use other means to escape the prison you built. I have this for XB1 and unlike the PC users, there were no real issues on the console. The game is a visual novel/choose your own ending game, which is typical of Telltale games. It does a solid job with the Bruce/Batman switches. It seemed to have more choices than the Borderland episode 1, I recently played. I bought the first episode, and it is so short, that I would recommend buying the entire thing. Though I think 15 bucks would be true value for the entire season. I didn't feel it was 100% true to batman, with the Cat Woman story arc, and Cobblepot's and Dent's relationship with Wayne, not sure though. I could be confusing movies with actual cannon. Certainly worth a play if your into these types of games.

Great game. Perfect if you like turn based strategy games. It's story is mostly text based, with cut scenes for choices. The game is listed at $15 bucks on Steam, but XB1 gold members get it this month for free. IMO it is easily worth the $15 bucks. I think it's Indie, but it feels higher tier. It's got all of the good stuff you expect from a Turn based strategy game. It does have it's flaws, like... No diagonal attacks. Which I find odd, especially for ranged. Too short of caster/archer range. It's 6 squares, but when the Varl take up 4 squares, you see how limited that is. Literally it feels like using a caster is a punishment. And I love casters in these types of games. Healers heal armor and not health (virtually every attack ignores armor) Thus healers are virtually useless. If they healed health, I would always use one. Them seem pointless except for pushing the story and doing these amazing magics, that none of them posses when you control them. Sometimes the game forces you to have a character for a boss fight. It's usually fine, but when this requires a specific tactic, which is usually just a pain in the butt and less effective than even a basic zerge. You will literally wonder why it was put in, as it literally makes the fight tedious. No ability to spin the camera that I can find. Controls don't seem optimized for consoles. Other than that it is quite an enjoyable game. It's flaws are small, and what it does have, makes up for it's weaknesses.

Do you have someone in your family that loves scrabble or boggle? Do you have someone that loves roleplaying games? Do you have kids that need to work on their vocabulary and spelling? Who won't take time to practice reading, but will play video games for hours? Well for $10 bucks this game is the perfect fix. I bought this game for my wife as she loves scrabble but hates learning the controllers for consoles. I tested it and it's strangely addictive. It is spelling. But the building up of your character is like many role playing games. You earn hit points, chose a weapon, books, how you level up. The game is extremely simple. A child can play it. An older person can play it. It seems to easy, but then you open challenges for each level and it shows there is enough challenge. I can't stand Scrabble. I was testing Letter Quest, to teach my wife, and played all day. When my wife got home I got her to try it and she wouldn't put it down. If you like word games this is great. If someone needs help with their vocabulary or spelling it is great. Honestly I bought Heroes of Iron IV, Stereden and this game for my monthly budget of games. Oddly this game is the favorite. Granted Heroes of Iron is a grand strategy we are new to and will probably be much loved in my house. But Letter Quest stole our interest. For a $10 dollar word game, that is incredible.

It feels like leaderboards and speed runs are all this game was built on. Which is great if that's your thing. It's not mine so the game just felt like it had potential and failed on most aspects. For what they are doing the graphics are fine. The English Voice acting is horrible. Worth the laugh if your drunk or something. Japanese voice acting, with English subtitles is better. I was hoping co-op would make it better. But apparently you need to do something to unlock it. I haven't found anything to keep my interest enough to want to unlock it. I left this game feeling the director got more credit than he deserved for the greatness of Mega Man. He might want to rehire his old idea guys. It has a save feature though I have yet to see why, as if I die, I automatically start from the beginning. I guess it saves your top scores? That's fine, if your into leaderboards. Which I am not. I'm finally getting burned out on Fallout 4, and needed a roleplaying fix. I used to play the turn based Shadowrun on Steam and figured a turn based RPG for the XB1 could be fun. After playing the game four a couple of hours, and reading the reviews here, I have to say Daelus and Masterchief247 gave solid reviews that match my experience. The game has fantastic RPG potential, and I loved the turn based stuff in Shadowrun/Xcom. but the quest tracking, camera angles and small fonts for the text you are reading 90% of the time, just lets the game down. It has options to adjust the font size. You do this, eventually putting it to max. Just to realize it never affects the text you are reading most of the time, but the size of the text on the loading screen (which you don't care about). And when you are reading conversations, quest, and descriptions on that small text which is uncomfortably small on my 52" screen t.v., it starts to test your patience quickly. Then the camera angle is just odd. It lets you see far enough away to know an encounter is coming, but it doesn't give you that strategic angle you want for a turn based combat game. It's map is also disorienting. Often times, I look for an objective. It shows south, so you head south. Then when you click on the map again, you find you have gone the wrong direction. After a bit you adjust, and your fine. But something just seems off about their map. Like the Shadowrun games it's math is questionable. You will often find your gun jamming or a critical failure on opening a lock pick. Which makes that lock impossible to open. It also seems to have absurd misses with your guns. Like you are face to face with a guy and miss him 6 times, with a 95% chance to hit. While he has a 2% chance to hit you and hits you every time. But the experience usually outweighs the math annoyances. If you can get past the hiccups, this game has solid RPG value, but what I really love about these style games are their replay value. As you can choose many stats, skills, and such, and there are many ways to address each quest, 4 replays is basic. You can often squeeze out more if you want. If your into rpg/turn based strategy games, this game is worth buying. Though with the camera and font size, I would wait until it is on sale for $20 bucks or less. For that price, you will love it.

I'm new to Tropico, so I will try to describe it to others who may be new to the franchise. To me it's an interesting mix of SimCity and Civilization. It's like SimCity, with less building options. And Civilization with less military options. You build up your military units, but you don't have much control once the fighting starts. Your military can do serious damage to your foes government or finances. It also has political factions to work with. Like Civilization you research tech government options. They throw in political comedy and plenty of quest, with some subtle financial complexities and you end up with a solid game. It also some solid South American style music if your into that. So if your looking for a city builder for XB1 this is probably your best choice. It has many options for difficulty choices. You can also play co-op, PVE or PVP online. It's competitive stuff can be for points or include military tactics. It also has a sand box, campaign and mission modes. This game is a solid city builder, and fills the void while we are hoping Civilization 6 eventually makes it to console.

After completing the story, I have to say this is a solid DLC. It's weak on the story early on but this picks up as you start mopping things up. It has enough little things hidden in it to keep most people happy. The new armor, and weapons. Though they continue to not give full legendary sets. Some of the melee weapons are worth the price alone for melee types. One does about 520 before perks! The ability to buy dogs, wolves, and mutant hounds for your settlements is great. The 4 new settlements are a nice touch also. The big let down for me were two fold first no radiant quest. 5 or 6 radiant quest would of made this a great alternative hunting ground for those chasing every perk. Basically giving you two great areas to play in. But without the radiant quest once you've done the main story, you have to wait forever for things to respawn. I would of glady taken 5+ radiant quest over that horrible puzzle series any day. A radiant quest would of been far more appreciated than the "joke" quest they threw in. The 2nd let down for me is the fact they didn't let the common wealth's factions get involved. My main chose the institute and I was able to get them on the island but all they wanted to do was destroy the synth faction there. Which is pointless if your choosing the peaceful resolution. Adding the other factions would of given plenty of room for radiant quest and added more complexity to the problems. It would of also made it feel like part of the main story. And radiant quest would of made it a place you kept playing in. If it had 5 radiant quest and the factions from the commonwealth this probably would be a 9.5 for a DLC. But without the radiant quest it just leaves you feeling empty, as once your done with the respectable story, your pretty much done with Far Harbor. And ultimately that just seems like a waste **** new territory.

If you want Pac Man, Galaga and Dig Dug for your XB1 this is a great pick up, and buying it in the 3-in-1 pack gives you the three games for the price of 2 ($7.99). Sadly Ms. Pack Man isn't part of the pack, but $3.99 for her game is cheaper than the $5 bucks I had to pay for it on the 360. The nice part is it's G rated so any visitors and skill levels can enjoy them. It's the original games, with their original flaws. It has leaderboards. With options for seeing world wide top scores, friends or personal bests. It also has the arcade initials that is shows locally, and it saves the top scores. The screen size can be adjusted from pretty small to almost most of the screen and it has some decent options. It does take a bit to load, for some reason it sits on a screen with pictures of game art. Then it shows the Namco logo, then it syncs. But it's still faster than the backwards compatible loading times. I couldn't seem to just press a button and skip this. I really dislike that they listed it as Arcade series in the game list. Each game list separetly so it shows Arcade Series 3 times. Dig Dug, Pac Man et would of been better listing for me. I wish it had a full screen mode. But some will like seeing the arcade art on the sides. The games don't seem to have 2 player hot seat, take turns mode. Which is sad. Hopefully I'm just missing how to do that. As it was not too intuitive on the 360 version, even though it did exist. If it's not there, I think they missed out on a huge opportunity. As people interested in the world wide leaderboards might want to play a 2 player game against better opponents online. And 2 player hot seat is obviously more fun when you have visitors.

There is world wide, personal or friends, you can choose to show. It also saves your high score locally, even showing your initials (locally), like in the arcade. It's shows your gamer tag world wide. Reasonably priced at $3.99, but it's a better deal to get Pac Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug in the 3 in 1 for $7.99. You have to get Ms. Pac Man separately though. Still it's good Pac Man has a stand alone option. Cons... A little slow loading, but faster than backwards 360 version. I wish there was a 2 player hot seat/take turns mode. If you want Ms. Pac-Man on XB1 this is the game for you. Pros... Original game, even with the level 142 bug. Reasonably priced at $3.99. Leaderboards. It has world wide, personal or friends leaderboard. Locally it shows your high score complete with initials. Giving that Arcade feel. Cons... Loads a bit slow (but faster than backwards compatible 360 version). For some reason it doesn't have the 2 player hot seat, take turns mode. I also wish it had a full screen mode. Though as it is, you can make it pretty large. And some people will like seeing the old arcade art on the side of the screen as they play.

If you like the original Galaga and want it for your XB1, this is a great pick up. Pros... Reasonably priced at only $3.99. You get a better deal with the 3 in 1 pack, which is $7.99 for Pac Man, Dig Dug and Galaga. Ms. Pac Man is only available as a stand alone. It's the original game. Leaderboards. Saves your top score (initials) locally. Can list leaderboard with world wide, friends, or personal. Cons.... It doesn't seem to have 2 player (hot seat/take turns) mode. It takes a little long to load (less than backwards compatible 360 version). And it is listed as "Arcade Series" Galaga on your games list.

If you want the classic Dig Dug for your XB1 system, you'll like this. Pros... Reasonably priced at $3.99. A better bargain if you get the 3 in 1 pack which has Pac Man, Galaga and Dig Dug for $7.99. Original game. Saves high scores (shows your "initials"). Let's others see top scores world wide (Gamer tag). Or you can sort by personal or friends best scores. Cons... Longer than expected load screen (but less than 360 backwards compatible version on XB1). I dislike that it is listed under "Arcade Series" instead of Dig Dug on the games list. And from what I can tell, it doesn't have 2 player (hot seat/take turns) mode. Other than that it is the classic Dig Dug you remember, even with it's wonky controls.

Pros... New stuff... The plant tray is great, but even that is limited as it can't be used in places like the Mechanist lair. Which also can't host an arena either. The concrete buildings are nice. Especially walls with windows. The stackable bus walls would of been fantastic, but they seem to need to be level. So unless you use the rug glitch it's almost pointless. My favorite part is the rads scrubber thing. I leave it on at my entrance and it cleans me of radiation every time. Cons... Cages... They are unwieldy, not uniform. Why Bethesda didn't make them the same size so you can place them outside the walls, so it's like their own entrance is beyond me. Require electricity. Get broken after each fight. You either have to place them in the arena or build the cage into a wall. Which can take up a bunch of your building space. Some require rare food as bait to build and repair. They also only have a chance to capture something. So you may end up with some lame matches. The requirements are really high for a console player. 4 Yao Gaui meat for a death claw cage is pretty absurd. PC users have mods and commands so they would think that's great. But my guy is level 134 and I see a Yao Gaui like once every 10 levels. And my 2 meat drop magazine perk only works 1/10 times. And since mods are supposed to come to the consoles soon just about everything about this mod seems pointless. I guess it gives console players that chance to say who would win in a fight. But it's too costly and time consuming to be worth it. Bethesda didn't even throw us a bone and mark the Combat Zone as a settlement so we could build an arena there. We can't bet on fights. My settlers don't even watch the fights. I can't even build an arena in the Mechanist lair. And the neon lights are the same size, which is way to small and not bright enough for my arena.

It would of been a fantastic DLC if they launched it a month after initial launch, but 4 months later, it's just **** quest line itself is just too short and not imaginative at all. If I were just rating the quest I would have to give this a 2 or less. Where this add on shines is bang for the buck. It adds buildable robots. there are a ton of options here. Especially if your character develops the perks to build all of these things. It also adds a few new player useable weapons, and armors. You get a couple of companions and you can pretty much make robot settlers. If you make the right choice at the end it appears you also get a new radiant quest. More value is added when you consider next month's add on will add a means to fight settlers and monster's in a "combat zone" style arena of your creation. The buildable robots from this DLC should fit in perfectly with that. They also added many story seeds including a new raider group the Dust Devils. The Mechanist as a radiant super hero ala Silver Shroud type of quest could easily be added at a later date. Sadly it does have Bethesda's other calling card, plenty of bugs/glitches. But those just seem to come with Bethesda's large game worlds.

I recommend you wait until 2017 and buy the full game. As it stands you can choose the Intro Pack, or buy the Intro Pack/Upgrade and Hitman. I did the latter. Essentially Intro is 3 missions, Upgrade is some new looks. And Hitman is the season pass. It has typical Hitman game play, but it has it's issues. 1. You have to be online to play. That means XB1 Live, then Square Enix servers. SE servers are down as I write this review. I think this is a bad policy for what is essentially a single player game. 2. This is not what I call a full game release. I paid full price for it. Granted they will release more content, which I won't have to pay for later. But there wasn't enough meat here for me to even remember the game in April. When it's next installation comes out. 3. It is buggy. When I reloaded after a mistake it got lagged out , and this happened several times. It also froze and forced me to reboot during one of it's many long loading screens. 4. It doesn't have difficulty settings. I am a casual and it felt tough for me. But I imagine a great FPS person would be bored. I need easy. They need hardcore. It's not all bad though. They are releasing new things every couple of months? They have contracts you can create for other players. Basically it seems you play through the 3 missions, mark targets and players can try out your mission. It looks like they will have other features. Probably a PVP thing from the looks of it. Thus the reason they are probably forcing you to be always online. But for my money it's not worth the $64 bucks after taxes I paid. If you buy just the intro you'll probably be more happy. But I can't imagine it will take most more than a day to master everything. I thought Square Enix would release a full featured Hitman game, and to keep us busy would release regular DLC with new missions. But this is just 3 missions. Most will be done in a day or 2. And Hitman will be collecting dust until April. When you will probably play a day or 2 and then wait for another month or 2. So essentially you will be paying to have them continue development of the game. And the full experience won't be there until sometime next year. Wait until then. If you buy it now, you will probably feel ripped off. It's only the future content that kept me from giving this game a 3 or less.

If you loved the first PvZ:GW you will love this one. This one has everything you loved about the first one, but adds 3 (6 total) more characters for both sides. It also steps up solo play. So you always have something to do. My son loves the first one and has loved this one so far also. I'm more of a casual shooter fan, and I really love the things EA did to drag the more casual players into the carnage. It has some single player campaigns. Though not huge they are fun for casuals. They even added a thing where you can solo with 3 AI. Which I love. They added a "backyard" with this staging area "base" for the players. The backyard is a stalemate park between both factions bases and is a fight that just keeps revving up (including all the bosses). I did this split screen with my son. We really enjoyed it. Though right now there isn't much reward for doing it. I have a feeling they will add more quest to it, which will make this an incredible split screen and solo quest area. They also made sure your progress in the first one moves with you. Your base has a mailbox and they mail you loyalty rewards, which includes all your unlocks you earned in the first game, a bunch of cards, and a 100k coins for your loyalty. They also added daily quest like MMO's which encourage/pay in game coins for completion. And on top of this you earn stars as you complete missions, which increases your XP earned. This will help everyone open all gear quicker and encourage casuals to get out there and enjoy the PVP. I really enjoy the improvements so far. The AI toons are a great addition. Though I wish they added it to Garden Ops (if no one joins). I also would like to see the AI added to split screen or the option to maybe invite your other XB1 friends to split screen GO. They have added the ability to make all matches private or invite only. So that is great if you want to only play with friends/family. If they keep adding daily/Solo quests and add more rewards to the backyard this game has a lot to offer for the price.

Do yourself a favor and take the time to at least watch some twitch or youtube play throughs of about 4 episodes of this game. It will show you if you will like this game or not. There is just so much to love and do in this game that it is amazing. This game is a sandbox. It is an MMO. It is a minecraft clone. It has local co-op, it has servers, it's has pvp. It's has 2d scroller boss fights. You build bases and craft just about anything and everything you want in the world. It's casual, but it is also hardcore. You can have something like 15 worlds saved at the same time. In fact there aren't many games out there that allow you to do as much as this game does. This game has gigantic replay value because of it's randomly generated worlds and it just has so much to do. It has a strong player community. It has been around for a couple of years on PC. It is still patched and the developers listen to the community as is evidenced by it's latest patch. It has it's weakpoints. It is 2d graphics, it's learning curve is rough if you don't come from minecraft. And it's controls can be confusing to new players. It's randomly generated worlds can be abusive even on the normal level. My world beat the snot out of me unapologetically. I had jungle to my left, ice to my right, and an ocean where my mining should of been. My jungle water then flooded my mines. I tried to mine it out, only to find more water and higher level mobs. I'm attacked day and night by 4 or 5 higher level mobs at a time. Somehow they get into my base. Through the doors and walls. And there was no material to upgrade in my starting area. Eventually I adventured deep into the ice area and I found upgrades. So I overcame. My wife on the other hand got a great starting area and is loving it. This game should be a 10, because it has so much to offer for only $20 bucks, but I give it an 8 for presenting itself as a carebear casual game and beating up relentlessly on me. I loathe it and love it at the same time ;).

Hand of Fate is one of those games that is a pleasant surprise. I got this as part of my XB1 gold membership. So I decided I would try it. Admitting it was very difficult for me to look past the whole tarot card feel and card game vibe. As neither of these things are my type of games. What the game actually is, is a randomized dungeon adventure where you can build card decks or let the computer choose one for you. Then you move your icon over the cards thus randomizing your events. It has descriptions and you can make some choices and then if all things go wrong, fight it out. It is quite refreshing in that it is different than most games out there for console. I actually played through the first 12 bosses. But it took a long time (probably 4+ hours), And in the end, I don't know if it's a glitch or you need specific tactics to beat this boss, but him and his minions seem to not take any damage from me. I've done the fight three times and the boss and all his minions never seem to get hurt or die. After 10 minutes of beating on the casters and tank minions they just never died. And I did this 3x. The Lich card seems to never be killable for me, so they are probably tactic specific. Or you need to customize your deck to handle these situations. I let the computer pick my deck so that may of short carded me. But up until this point where I got stuck the game was very intriguing. The game is nice, but once you unlock a card, it is added to the deck and you will just rush through that encounter. Once you win it resets the deck and you get random stuff to fight another boss. After 12 bosses you win the "Match". The nice part is because the cards make random "dungeons" every game has a different feel/ slightly different opponents and feels more random. It has an endless mode, which probably means you never have to reset your stats and gear. Which would be nice. You can also choose your deck which probably helps a lot once you know what your doing. It would be nice if they enlarged the cards. I found it hard to read the cards when they were laid on the table and one of my abilities allowed me to read every card on the table. And I'm playing this game on a 50" screen. Which makes such an ability almost pointless. Overall I enjoyed it, I just seem to have hit the wall with the last boss. As I can't hurt him or his minions. So I probably won't be playing this game a ton. But if you have a bunch of time to waste and like these randomized types of games, this is one you should check out.

Because "Mighty #9" was delayed, and I heard about Unepic, I decided to take a chance on it. If your into tabletop gaming, old 2d action/rpg, scrollers and references to that type of stuff makes you feel witty, you will probably enjoy it. I like it, I just am not finding the room with tons of doors as the main hub that leads to different areas to be inspiring. Or finding areas and then having to find a key, then come back to be fun. As this mechanic can having you wandering around aimlessly trying to remember where to go next. I'm still learning the game and it does seem to have a ton to do. You can also customize your abilities. There are many weapons and spells, potions and stuff you can make. But it seems to be one of those games you almost have to force yourself through the early stages, until it grows on you. It seems to be a game that has great potential, sadly I have too many other games I'm enjoying right now to focus on this one. So I will have to finish it later. 1 thing I really love about the XB1 version over the PC is they toned down the language. I saw video of it on PC and every other word out of the guys mouth is profanity. Fortunately I can't remember very much profanity in the Xb1 version. And for me that is refreshing. For me the bottom line is if your into Tabletop RP and those types of things, you will probably enjoy this. As a barebones looking Indy game with tons of depth if you can endure long enough to scratch the surface this is a 7.

I got this game as part of my Xbox gold account. After seeing the reviews on here I decided to give it a shot. Considering that it's an indie game it's a pretty solid little brawler. Now it's certainly not Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles of the 90's (Playing this made we want a new TMNT). But it shouldn't be compared to that, as it is a low budget indie game. Not a top AAA brawler. As an indie brawler I came in with low expectations. But the game is pretty solid and has some interesting stuff. I intended only to try it for 5 minutes. I ended up playing the 4 or 5 of the first zones areas. You earn RP and get to open new skills. You can choose three areas to upgrade. I read on a review it was tough so I played it on easy. And I had no problem getting through the first 4 areas of the first zone. If you break containers you get extra health and some other stuff. I believe you can play co-op with 2 players. If it had 4 player co-op and you could play online it would be better. If you got this game for under 10 bucks it's fine.

The best XB1 game yet! Forget game of the year, this game deserves to have a new category invented for it. Game of the Console! If your a RPG/Bethsaida/open world fan this is the only game you want for your XB1. IMHO it has destroyed all of the other "RPG" games that XB1 has released so far. The good... 1.Excellent post apocalyptic setting. The whole futuristic 50's vibe is refreshing in the RPG genre. 2. Radio adds so much to the atmosphere there's classic/oldies/quest stations . It just need more songs. 3. Flexible playstyle. Sniper 1 shot kills. Melee build. Stealth are all viable. Go high tech or medieval. 4. True open world sandbox. There's a main story, but you do what you want, when you want. 5. 6 different levels from very easy to survival. 6. No level caps. So you can keep leveling even after story. 278 levels for all perks and stat boost 7. Combo Skyrim/old school Elder Scrolls stats/ plus xp system. For varied development. 8. Building system. It's totally optional, but you have at least 10 bases to build the way you like. 9. The monetary system. Bottle caps are money.Everything breaks down for crafting. So even junk is good. 10. The game feels post apocalyptic. Sparse animals. Ammo is kind of scarce. So resources seem valuable 11. Mods for Guns, Rifles, melee weapons. Mods for all armor types. Again optional but vast. 12. I've played 72 hours and I'm only level 34/278 (that mean something). Lots to do and replay value. Even if you finish main story arch or level cap you can continue to play. 13. Some NPC's have similar quest type that is repeatable. So you always have quests. 14. Bethsaida games always have DLC that add meaningful content if wanted. The bad... 1. Bethsaida bugs. Some crashes. Like all of their games save often. 2. Last gen graphics. Though they are stylized so you won't really notice. This is an 8/10 for the genre. But 10/10 compared to what new gen consoles have released so far. Easily the best RPG game I own for XB1. And I own all of the RPG for this console.

If you love classic Koei games or grand strategy games this game is a must have. I got this game on Steam and it is wonderful. But I strongly recommend you only buy it for PS4. As if anything goes wrong Steam's customer support is horrendous. People wait months to recover accounts, and they don't even back their advertised prices. Lesson learned, and I recommend you buy this for PS4. Great game, certainly worth buying. Game of the year? Probably not. But fun and will give you your monies worth? Absolutely! Currently the only game I own that people are queuing to play at my house. Pros: Open world. (Much more area to drive than most car games) RPG Car Racing with Mad Max car on car destruction. Shooting, Knifes, Arkham style fighting. Harpoon that can pull guys out of cars, rip tires off etc. Customized cars Capture and use enemy cars and add them to your collection. Build bases and bonuses by collecting scrap (which can make your life super easy) Leveling up system that allows you to choose how you level. Some customization of your Mad Max character's looks. They give free new cars and content. If you compete for times online you could win a real off road vehicle. Ends in September though. Cons: The first hour is rough as it reveals the games weaknesses. Like it's movement (as awkward as the new Metal Gear) and it's needing to be in a specific spot to use certain skills. Or multiple skills on the same buttons, which can cause you to accidentally waste rounds. But once you get through this "tutorial" stage and get to Jeet's base, it truly starts becoming an open world game and starts shining. In fact the more you play the more addictive it seems to get. I do wish there was more customization of the Max Character, leveling up, and the Car. But that can easily be added in future patches. I also wish I could jump on enemy cars and attack like they do me sometimes. Indifferent: People say the scrap gathering and other mechanics can become old fast. I can only say they didn't play the game long enough. As once you build up stuff in the Fortresses you get a free health filler, free water refill, free gas refill, free ammo refill, NPC's who gather scrap for you (even while your offline). This scrap is on top of the free scrap you get from liberating enemy bases. Some say it's just the same thing over and over. Well that's true of any game. But in this game you can choose to change what your doing and fight, race, crash up derby, build bases, customize cars and do many different things over and over in a free roaming open world. This and Witcher 3 are probably the best open world games out there for XB1, until Fallout 4 comes out.

It's a solid effort. Certainly worth buying if your a fan of Dragonfall or Returns. The story is about average length. As with the other titles lots of reading and turn based combat with a Shadowrun flavor. If your not a huge fan of the early games I recommend waiting until this is on sale. They tried to upgrade several areas. The Matrix, Adepts, and hand cyber weapons are what I noticed. My first run was a Decker/Rigger and for me at least the Matrix upgrade was a major disappointment. Just dodging way too many "sniffers". They added Simon and Match game mini games to unlock each data base. In the end it just forces you to slot a movement program and lessens the whole Matrix experience for me. The cyber hand weapon upgrade was a nice touch. Now you can actually get handrazors for your street samurai. But the cost was a bit prohibitive. Basically they made it a Karma cost, where you can unlock more available cyber by spending extra Karma in the Body section. The hand razors are only 1 karma and rumored to be massively OP. But when it cost essence and you have to develop other skills, I wonder why they made you pay twice in development. It gets ugly if you spend Karma for items further in the tree. I haven't played an adept yet, but they added stances and the NPC's seemed like much stronger adepts. As Decker/Rigger I was very disappointed in the new drones. Sure they added variety, but the first med drone was the same as the 3rd level one. Basically 2 weak heal kits, grenades and a grenade launcher like in the other games. Variety in healing drones would be nice. I personally would of preferred a healing drone with maybe a "heal spell" and 6 heal kits. And maybe a hold out hand gun. But no such luck. The drug mule was interesting, but it only has 4 stims per run. So it has limited pay off. Only good if your a stim freak. I was also terribly disappointed that there were still only 3 weapon slots. So as a Decker/Rigger my deck and two drones took up my weapon slots. To get around this I tried cyber weapons. Because I trained rifles, I used the Monochrome whip from the new handweapons. It cost me 10 extra karma and it's stats were based off of my 3 in rifle skill. Which means you miss a ton in later missions. I probably would of done more damage with my untrained hand to hand. I give this a 7 because they got much love on Kickstarter and I feel they wasted their efforts. The matrix itself was fine. If they added a Matrix bar and chance to hack data and weaken targets before a run. I think that would of added a ton more for deckers. I haven't seen if they upgraded the astral plane but that needed much love in other games. And considering the KS funds they got the story should of been much longer. Or they should of launched with about some DLC's that would of kept players busy until new UGC was launched. But like the other SR games in the series, it has replay value. But it is highly dependent on the player community on just how much replay value you get. Next time they should probably look to the UGC community for inspiration on what the game needs to take that next step. If they had followed their direction the game would of been much better IMO. Instead it seems they wasted most of their resources on a Matrix upgrade that actually lessened my experience. And I love Decker/Rigger characters.

Especially as it is just frosting on the cake to get people back into the Megaman vibe, just in time for Mighty # 9. The game ran perfectly fine on my system. The only glitches and hiccups are left overs from the original Megaman games. Anyone who rates this game badly because it doesn't have the 10bit games, just didn't pay attention to what they were buying. This game is definitely worth having. It is like the last 360 ones I have played. The graphics are obviously much better, and they have added the car. The game mechanics are essentially the same, the fighting moves seem better to me. The story is very similar. It has the same kind of upgrade system as the other games. In fact the game is fantastic. Except for the BATMOBILE!!! At first the car is awesome. It is a tank, it handles nice, considering this isn't a driving game. It is all you thought it was in the previews. But then very quickly it appears the design team decided that fans of the Batman series must be fans of all the car games out there. And then the car becomes a horrible 15k ton (or whatever it weighs) weight around your ankle. Whose only mission seems to be to destroy you enjoying this game. Seriously the fist car mission was so stupid, I almost wanted to quit the game. The batmobile was even in the Riddler's puzzles. Seriously the car stuff is just suffocating. Then I got pulled back into the story. I haven't finished the game, but it is a great game. I am still playing and enjoying it. Except the game does have this absurd need to tie you to the Batmobile. Honestly, at times you will say, just send the Batmobile. It should of been this awesome addition to the game, that made travel so much more fun and combat more exciting. But in the end it drags the game down so much it is the reason I have to give this game an 8. Honestly the car becomes such a crutch, it should of been used as a vehicle for a Batgirl story. After all she is in a wheelchair now and reliance on the car would of made sense in the story. In that case it would of been a award winning story showing her strength of character and indomitable spirit. But in the context of a vehicle for Batman it is receiving way to much story share. At times it will seem like this game should be called the Batmobile verses the Arkham Knight.
