Grating. tonally all over the place. feels like a bunch of b-roll improv , but none of the cast are any good at improv. yet they cobbled it together and called it a movie.

Bigger, dumber, but definitely not funner. The sharks are just bits of cg scenery, the action is uninspired and poorly executed, the characters are somehow even more thinly drawn than the first outing. It's hard to understand who thought this was a good idea.

Extraction 2 is very much in The Raid 2 school of sequels. The drama maybe a little thinner, but it can be forgiven for the sheer spectacle and pacing of the action. I feel like this was just the right amount of ridiculous, (as opposed to John wick 4 and the bullet proof blazers.) some of the best action scenes on film since the first Wick film.

Flat with absolutely zero pathos, looks cheap, and the story makes absolutely no sense, it's like a teenagers first screenplay. A hero with no depth or reason, a generic scifi setting, it feels like someone cut together a bunch of cutscenes from a middling action rpg. World class mugging and slapstick performances clash with soap opera emoting.
