While its seemingly an improvement over 2042, it's still not what the initial hype sold us. Good on destructive environment, kinda. The single player campaign is AWEFUL. Multiplayer doesn't feel as epic as Battlefield 3, 4, BC2, or 1 (WW1).
The gameplay loop is great (10/10). The rest (5/10)... The story and main villain are rather boring and so are the playable characters, dull and boring and not cool. Borderlands 1 and 2 used to have a lot more interesting characters.
Love this game! It feels special and rare. I have never been able to get into extraction shooters (though I like the idea of them) until this one. Minor quibble so far is I wish Speranza was a living walking place rather than menu system. Also, let's hope cheaters don't overtake this game. Cheaters are low life scum.
Lacking immersion with a plethora of immersion breaking problems. Boring cleansed dialog. A stale non-movable world. Characters that don't interact with the world around them. Steal from anyone with no penalties. And much much more. Once you play it for 20 hours the shallowness of this game will be obvious. Ultimately a highly disappointing game. The combat is good, but considering this is an "RPG", that is far from enough to save the game.
I've played all the Halo's going back to the original on the XBOX. This is the best Halo, it looks better, it plays better, it has more options, more features, more everything. Now, as far as campaign goes, let's face it, Halo CE is unbeatable, its like a new Star Wars movie trying to beat the original Star ****'T BE DONE! It's a classic for a reason. Still, this campaign is a fun one. Obviously there is significant amount of those who post reviews just to hate on a game, you'd be wise to ignore them. I find very little merit to most of their arguments, none that even bear repeating. The only thing missing is all my friends who grew up and don't play video games any **** would have had a lot of fun LAN partying this game. As it is online is great. Too bad the online community of games is so ruthless in their language. I simply have mute set as the default and only use party chat with friends. While this hurts **** you are a person of normal maturity level, you'd be wise to do the same. The other annoying thing online is players who are not there to play the game, just there to be "tools" and/or quit in the middle ****. I can't really blame the game makers for this, its just something to be aware of that could negatively impact your online experience.
