If you're an Errol Flynn Fan this movie is a must see. Reminiscent of Flynn's movies such as Robin Hood and Captain Blood, this movie had an old Hollywood charm that I never see in today’s movies. The plot revolves around Flynn's pre-Hollywood adventures when he lived the life of a pirate looking for gold up the coast of Australia. One review on Rotten Tomatoes said, "The cast is first rate. As Flynn, Cocquerel has the good looks that made the Tasmanian Devil a star", and I couldn’t agree more. Definitely one of the most exciting movies I've seen in a long time. I don't think any action fan that watches this will be disappointed!

Saint Judy9

For historical drama fans, this is a really great film that explains the life of Judy Woods, a female lawyer responsible for changes to laws preventing immigrants from seeking asylum in the United States. Topics such as immigration and women’s rights are major players, and they were depicted in ways different than what one would typically expect from today’s media. I’m a big fan of Michelle Monaghan, and she did an incredible job of conveying the resilient bold woman that was Judy Woods. If you’re looking for an emotional, refreshing, historical drama I’d definitely recommend Saint Judy!

Darkness Visible9

I can’t get over how intense this film was! To me, the atmosphere is everything, and DARKNESS VISIBLE had a super creepy setting. Most of the film took place in East India, which was not only spooky but also felt pretty unique. Another aspect of horror movies that are really important to me is the special effects, so I loved how incredible the effects were, and how they allowed the goriness of the film to appear extremely realistic. Most of the movie I couldn’t turn away from the screen, despite wanting to cover my eyes! If you appreciate a graphic horror, this one is a must see!

Life and Nothing More9

I can be picky when it comes to drama films, but LIFE AND NOTHING MORE did an incredible job of approaching a sensitive topic from a new perspective. Antonio Esparza’s direction gave a new meaning to real-life drama and the movie featured a strong female lead, Regina Williams, who gave an authentic, raw performance that captured my attention from the first scene. Williams realistic acting conveyed the emotional struggle that single African American mother, placed in a problematic Florida neighborhood, faces. Would recommend to all drama fans!

Number 378

Nosipho Dumisa direction of this film managed to pay homage to Hitchcock's “Rear Window” in a modern fashion. Number 37 contains a fast-paced storyline that adds a level of grittiness to the heart-racing portrayal of South African criminal life. The main actor's fight to rise out of poverty became progressively more thrilling, and by the end, I was on the edge of my seat.
