Borderlands 20
Sep 21, 2012
Short and sweet: No improvements over Borderlands 1 (same unreal rendering engine, no dx-11 support), a blatant console port. This should have been a DLC for the original Borderlands game, and not a standalone. The fights get repetitive, and all the same negatives that were associated with Borderlands 1 are here again. Less bugs, but that's it. No way worth $59 + $29 for the "premium" package. Blatant ripoff by 2k games/Gearbox.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty7
Sep 18, 2012
I waited over a year after release to buy this game when it went on sale for 50% off. I was a fan of the original game, and decided to give this one a shot when the price hit my "sweet" spot. Gameplay is right where it should be; great. The only negative was no real support for LAN play like the original Starcraft offered. Graphics are good, but not great for what I would consider to be a modern game. Overall worth a buy if you are an RTS fan, if you can find it for a good price.

Tribes: Ascend9

Hi-Rez has succeeded with an amazing game that is faithful to the original tribes franchise. Graphically, things are average. Gameplay, and overall user emjoyment is where the game thrives. Hitscan was phased out during the later beta period, and now this is one of the few shooter games that has no hacks available. Pure skill game with E-sports affiliation.

Blacklight: Retribution10

This is by FAR the greatest PC f2p fps game ever seen. The business model is very good (NOT pay-to-win). Graphics and game play are all top-notch. What else can be said? Try it for yourself. If you are a PC-gamer that digs fps games, this is a mandatory evaluation for you!

Gettysburg: Armored Warfare0

This is by far the worst garbage that I've seen that has ever been sold on Steam. The condition of the game at release was not even alpha-quality. Bug infested, with so much not working it was laughable. Even now, after a few patches it is still garbage, and the community has died. Nobody is playing it anymore. Avoid radioactive software like the HIV-virus. Never buy anything from them ever again, and shame on the publisher for collaborating with Radioactive to push this trash on PC-gamers. At the very least it needed another year or more in testing before release. The ONLY redemption is the soundtrack.

Aion7

Since patch 3.0, and the game going free to play, Aion has become a very well rounded MMO. Graphically, using the cryengine, things are stunning. The PVP is extremely enjoyable. Still a bit "grindy", but overall very impressive. Worth taking a look.
