This film takes the shakespeare play and adapts it to make a big epic film while still being trajic and emotional too. Everything in this film (production-wise) looks amazing, from the buildings to the costumes to the furntiture, you can tell that the people behind this spent there money wisely and with intent. The acting is also incredible showing the emotions each character in feeling with full intense detail, especially Lord Ichimonji. This film is a truly wonderful watch showing an amazing blend of beautiful imagery, intense emotion, story, and writing. I definitely suggest watching it.
A very suspenseful, well thought out, together movie, which doesn't get too complex but still manages to provide an interesting story and unique directing techniques which will stand out as one of Hitchcock's masterworks.
A very funny, well acted, well directed, and marvelously written masterwork. It puts a comical spin on a very dark subject matter, and it works to its benefit.
An ultimately well made heartfelt movie about a **** teen trying to overcome her rudeness and realizing that she might be the cause of her and her family's frustration. It's solid, unique, and has a good amount of comedy put in.
This film you might not get on the first watch but it all comes together it's truly amazing. it uses visual storytelling and little dialogue to show exactly what's happening and provide a deep hidden message about change both good and bad. P.S. best special effects ever.
I will love this movie and hate it at the same time. Nothing about this film makes sense, the acting, the writing, the directing, and even the green screen effects are terrible. But what i will say though is that if you want to see a film that is so bad it's good, this is it, this masterpiece of garbage is overall highly entertaining for the common man realizing its major flaws. If you want to see a film with a good amount of quality and effort put in, don't see this, but if you want to see something so bad that you can make fun of it throughout the entire running time (with friends or relatives to share with) than this is the perfect movie for you.
The movie doesn't start out great, mainly just character introductions telling us about what type of people they are and their relations with the mafia. After that though the plot kicks in, and it really gets going, the violence is menacing, the story is engaging, and Al Pacino's character development is wonderful. Basically if you're willing to get passed the first thirty minutes or so, it's a great watch.
I watched this movie to see if it was as great as people say it is and I must say, it is. There is constantly very good acting, unique storytelling, and incredible directing, which makes a heartbreaking drama about a newspaper tycoon. This is the greatest film I have ever seen.
