Seriously games like this really just like to waste your time and I really can't stand it when this **** does not work. There were several instances in which I was totally correct about the puzzle Add the solution and maybe one letter was off or something was wrong with the spelling and the game still doesn't want you to go through. There is times where the puzzles are remarkably easy and then unbelievably hard I don't know how anyone would be able to understand that fish one. It got to a point where I was just looking every single thing up and I'm like why am I playing this if I have to look up the entire game. Probably better to just watch it on Youtube. I love puzzle games like Blueprints and stuff like that but at least it's somewhat intuitive when you play them This one not so much. I think I'm giving such a low score here because at the end the game was glitched and did not give me the file that I need just completely wasting my time and if you like wasting yours you can play this.

Unskippable cut scenes and controls that don't work from the very start, god forbid you rebind controls then there is no action listed to pick up the weapon. Then the game crashed, with zero saves. Yeah sorry but im good on your temu hollow knight . I dont know why indie game devs keep making trash like this. I dont want to restart the game just to sit through the cut scene again. So ill be skipping this

This game while intrigueing and intersting kinda feels like puke. Thereis colors and motion everywhere and it kinda makes me sick. Like the style is cool but It kinda jumps around and doesnt really know what it wants to be. It feels like a generic action game with this insane, ultra stylized skin on it. I know its based on something but after my playing for two hours I was kinda bored of the experience, it doesnt help that this game makes you do video game chores "grab three keys", "shot at the weak points" and "Turn on 3 generators". Like come on you want to be really creative and have a game look like THIS and yet still have us do what every other game makes us do? The game play itself gets kinda tiresome and the upgrade system doesn't make any sense, actually there is a lot of things that dont make sense in this game and you can tell they were actually going for that. IT reminded me of the movie "everything everywhere, all at once" (bad movie) , where nothing made sense and they just through every trope at the wall that they could.

Man would this have had a higher score if the end game wasnt so screwed up. Read on and find out why... At first , this doesnt look like something I would normally play. the animie style isnt really my thing but im glad I gave it a shot becasue the game really drew me in. the combat is quick, challenging and somewhat unique. You have your basic parry and 2 weapons (there is 3 but we will get to that as to why I couldnt unlock the last one). I really liked the music as well as enemy and boss battles, honestly the first 50-60 percent of the game is really sick and I had a blast playing. The character design is cute anime wifus, now if thats not your thing you will still probably like the game play but just keep in mind there is some close up graphic sexualized imagery of young girls, so lets just say dont let the cute design fool you, there was some parts where I asked my self "am I playing a ex game with actual good gameplay? " I know some people will hate on it due to that but really its not too in your face and the combat and exploration will keep you playing. But now for the bad : the platforming. Oh man did this frustrate me to no end. Not only is it incredibly difficult in some parts, but you will do an entire hard section only to find out you don't have the proper movement technique to FINISH that section, thank god you can respwn at the hub area but there was a few times in which I had to backtrack to an area thinking I had the therightmoveset to get in there but nope , still nothing. Also I changed my preset to have my dash as the B button- big mistake. Becasue that doesnt allow you to turn into gel in the air, causing me to miss a lot of side/optional content, pissing me off becasue I really wanted to 100 percent this game. There was so many spots where I had all the movement abilities, was finished with the game, and yet still was asking "ok how do I get there now?'. This all points to it being pretty un- intuitive. You may think this is a small thing but I missed out on like 40 percent of the games content, SIMPLY BC I HAD A DIFFERENT CONTROLLER present. Then I tried backtracking but the platforming was still so difficult that I just said screw it. I feel like this frustration was unnecessary. They could have done a better job at explaining the dash-gel mechanic , something I still don't fully get. Of course the game is new and there is not many guides on how to do something, but you shouldnt need a guide. for instance you need to "sneak up on the book worms" in order to get upgrade material for your weapons. This is never explained and was something I was able to figure out but only after A TON of trial and error. Why? Why not just tell me I have to sneak up on them at least the first time. Also the glitches just make it worse. So many times I would spawn into the hub area without a player character, forcing me to restart the game every time, happened several times and one time it didn't save causing me to lose and hour of progress. Bosses can have so much **** on the screen the game breaks and pauses so that you get hit again. enemies can hit you through walls. A lot of this stuff it just like amature hour that you wouldn't see in a proper metroidvenia. The time mechanic is cool and adds something different to the genre but really just feel slike a chore when you dont have the time to activate a cutscene, another thing that is not really explained and makes you go "why bother? " after you finish the game . Something you will say a lot if you play this. All in all I would wait to buy it or buy it on a sale. ait until people develop a concise way to 100 percent this game becasue you will want to do the side content, yet its just really difficult to figure it out yourself, and even if you do the bugs wont let you. The game started out at a 8 for me but I drooped that rating once i finished the game because that is when the headache starts. Id say wait till they fix the glitches and go in knowing that you probably wont figure everything out.

Loved it, every second of it. Some of the other reviewers dont understand what type of game this is, look I know your brain is basically scrambled eggs at this point but how else is this game meant to "engage you"? The type of genre this fits into is "interactive story/management" genre , you dummies, ITS MEANT TO BE LIKE A MOVIE. However This is also very awesome game and yes I say "game " becasue a lot of the times these things are not games but just a multiple choice test. You can tell the devs wanted to give you something to "do" while also throwing in an interactive story there. There is hacking minigames along side the actual dispatching, which reminded me of "This is the police", a great management yet difficult game. This game has those mechanics along side an A+ story And man wow what a story, every thing from drama, to comedy, to romance is there, and they do a great job at telling all three. I initially sat down to just do an episode or two. Nope. Finished the WHOLE game (all 8 episodes) in around 8 hours. Each one just keeps you wanting more, the characters are cool ,relatable and just laugh out loud funny sometimes. Music is on point, as is the writing. I really do get the feeling this was written by millennials or at least for them, I say this in a good way since the game isn't trying to be hip or say Corney things unironically. The whole game is extremely well voice acted by actual celebrities, legit feels like movie quality lines and voice. Reminded me of Until dawn with how well acted it was (even better than that game though ). I am giving a 9 out of ten since some of the hacking segments were glitched, as was some of the dispatch using a gamepad. That pissed me off since I knew was doing it right but the game failed me for running out of time. However This is indeed one of the best games of the year, I have played a lot of these "interactive movies" before and this really does feel like the next evolution of that sort of thing. I really hope they make more Dispatch, and make more of this high quality "choice matters" genre too. Seriously I dont know why you are still reading this review, as this game is 90 percent better of what ever hollywood is producing these days, as a movie its a home run. PS bonus points for treating us gamers as adults and allowing us to see ****. Dont mind the negative reviewers as they are anti-tities

I dont give 10s, especially on here but when I saw RAW FURY picked up this project after working on blue prince I had to give it a go. I remember seeing the trailers years ago and thinking it looked cool , but now it has BLOWN AWAY my expectations. It is one of the scariest games I have ever played, sure there is jump scares, but that is nothing in comparison to the sheer psychological horror that is this game. There is so much attention to sound design and detail. You never truly know if you are in danger vs just walking around, completely safe yet there is some creepy stuff going on. IN addition to having all this old 1990-1970 liminal vibe the entire game, along with all the old tech.i f you love liminal spaces then you will love this game. It obviously inspired alien isolation but I feel it is better than that, like more well made believe it or not. The puzzles were hard and you cannot look them up due to RNGs, but hey its old school, going for that classic survival horror style. The survival horror games have fallen out of favor with me for a while, I don't usually play them however this this has reignited my love for the genre and I eagerly await to see what they put out next as this was so cool and just SUCH a vibe, hard to explain but knowing that it is great. PS if you only play call of duty or new resident evil and think this is a"run and gun" horror game you are an idiot. REAL survival horror doesn't have combat, hence the horror part. Whens the last time you are truly scare in resident evil when you can just blow away ever enemy with a rocket launcher. ITs a stealth horror game that makes you THINK. Those giving low scores are just dumb imo.

One of the better action games this year. I loved it, I love the gore and splitting people apart. You dont really play as ryu until the end but that's ok the new guy is pretty sick. The game is WICKED fast. Even faster than wu cheng fallen fathers. But fear not there is no souls like Bullshlt in here. I mean kinda challenging especially on hard, there is def modulation at work to help you along, so just keep trying if you are stuck on a boos. THE ABILITY TO CHANGE DIFFICULTIES WOW. seriously I appreciate a straight up gory action game and this is everything about that. THe platforming can be a little glitchy and they added an update where black bars are on the screen, but honestly this was a really game . Beat it in a few days/8 hours. there are extras too and the gameplay loop/fighting is so fun I may just 100 percent this game, most importantly its NOT LIKE OTHER NINJA gaidens. those games while good I never got into them becasue of the brutal difficulty and I like stuff like neoh, dark souls, elden ring. NG was always just too hard for the pay off,I think this game strikes that balance perfectly. Music is really sick too. Now if they fix the tech issues its a ten.

I like the concept and the story a lot but there are game play bugs that makes it a shtty experience. LIke when you go to look for cards he wont be shuffling, it will just be stuck on a card. It will get unstuck after playing with the directional pad for a while but you are timed, causing you to lose the encounter. Small mistakes= big consequences in this game, and sometimes they are not even your mistakes, so im like meh the execution could have been better. Its really neat learning all the card tricks though they are on to something here

Game is low key trash. I like the combat and the obscure story. However the game falls completely short when it comes to something really simple, navigation. I am literally right on top where I need to be, still cant find the crystal that I need. frustratingly making me do the same sections over and over if you pass an elevator. Game just likes to waste your time and for a "rouguelike" it should really guide you better than what ever horrible system they have going on here. They actually give you a map but it is completely useless, because even if you go to the correct area, good luck finding the thing. Its a shame because I was really drawn in and wanted to be captivated but it just pisses me off with these mechanics. IN rouge likes I don't mind doing the same thing again and again IF I DIE. This you are looking for a simple navigation point. And you can never find it. Had it happen with the first area and just though it was a fluke, nope second area was even worse. They are attempting a 3d map design on a 16bit plane= doesn't work and while combat is fun I dont want to replay the same sections just because I went down an elevator and went the wrong way now everything resets.

SOLID card game, give slay the spire a run for its money. So many different builds and be sure to keep playing after you beat it with all 4 clans. Game has a lot of content, the music is so sick and just gets stuck in your head. Like all the good aspects of a slot machine with actual skill based and deck building mechanics. I love that it was on game pass day one. Also if you haven't played the first don't even bother this one covers it and then some. If you like stacking crazy buff and damage in yoour card games then this is for you. The only thing I can critique is that I wish controls were more optimized with a controller, granted there is a lot going on but some times trying to every enemies buffs/rebuffs can be really challenging at first when you dont know what all the symbols mean, but you eventually commit them to memory. Also I would like to see a rule book somewhere , later while playing I forgot if room cards can be applied twice, equipment double stack etc, if there is one I couldn't find it at least. But honestly there is a great game play loop and I love this game

In the era of classics slay the spire and inscription, it is somewhat rare to find something doing something completely new, refreshing and still really fun to play. While this game can be compared to those, it really is its own thing. Such a unique and abstract art style that is really not seen in many (or really any that I can recall) games. It plays on steam deck and has controller support. the story is elusive and yet really interesting. The one down side of this game is that it is wicked easy, even on the normal mode. Once you start unlocking cards that reflect damage, you can beat any opponent, I was able to beat the game multiple times and unlock all the endings in about 3 days, so yeah its a little short as well. However Im still going to give a 10out of 10 since its still such an interesting and creative experience, you can really tell that the dev put their action, logic and mystery into this. Just play it if you like card games/ deck builders, but even if you don't still play it since it will probably get you into that sort of thing.

Game ****. well not terrible but honestly there are just so many bad game design choices here. They build the game around parry mechanics and yet the combat is so slow and clunky. Dodging takes like 5 seconds and there is no consistency with the hit box . Forget about parrying, you will almost always get hit. it takes too long to counter attack, takes too long to pick up items, too long for the narrator to just shut the F up. Seriously if you want to be a nine souls/dark souls/hollow knight thing, you better have TIGHT combat mechanics, every weapon in this game just feels bad to use and it doesn't matter if its a sword/mace/ arrow, all the tools you have are just terribly slow for game like this. Not only that but the design choices just baffle me, you go to pick up items instead of doing something else like saving or interacting with an NPC. Not only that but every time you grab item it replaces what you currently have, so you have to recycle into you inventory and change it, every time you have to loot something the character needs to do a 4 second animation, mind you there are like 150 items per map, so this adds up. Its like they made everything during the level purposely slow and annoying for the player. Especially climbing up latters, or the god forsaken platforming. Then you get to the boss and they are crazy fast, but you are still the slow little dumb rat. I mastered sekuro on demon bell, nine souls with no modifiers,100 percent most meteoroidvenias/soulslike, but this? I stopped halfway through, its too much of a slog and really just aggravated me. I feel like it wasn't even that challenging in comparison to the games i mentioned, yet its going for that "difficult " tag but you really just get the feeling its just being hard for difficulties sake and not actually challenging. I thought the art style was sick, that is the one huge plus for this game, and I like it that its an indy game and they took a risk. But maybe they made it too fast because the combat just ****. Point is if you want to make a "parry god" game the combat needs to be quick, precise and"feel good" to control, this game is sorely lacking that but has everything else an okay story, good music and nice art style. But its like they totally forgot about game play for some reason

I am going to rate this game high, simply because a lot of time, attention and dedication was put into it, and had me hooked for over 60 hours while I completed it close to 100 percent, minus a stupid treasure map or two. Yes this game has unreal jank, repetitive enemies, and sometimes stale dialogue choices, but people make this out to be the worst thing, when we have seen 10x worse come out of the triple A space. So its really not that bad but just note you may experience crashes or characters moving around in a weird way, but nothing too game breaking. Honestly its core gameplay loop of completing quests, getting loot and advancing the story/side quests is really fun, so is the exploration, with 4 even 5 huge maps, with mountains, deserts, oceans and swamps to explore. It really is quite impressive in scope and size when you think about it. Also the music is really sick, epic in my opinion. Combat is engaging, you want to be a wizard, fine. You want to beaz wielding barbarian? fine. You want to be a shield bashing barbarian wizard, with a rifle? Oh yeah you can do that. The combinations of tools at your disposal to make you character how you want it is all there. Though initially its tough to upgrade your character you will eventually be slaying enemies even on the hardest difficulty. I do think it needs some balancing, especially when it comes to how much money you get from quests. I think my point is this avowed is a flawed game, but still really fun and kept me hooked for over 60 hours game time, a month or so at least. Games don't really do that for me any more I stop playing after a week, so I think that is saying something. My only major gripe I would say is that there is no new game plus, which im shocked about honestly, like im sure they will add it later on, especially after seeing the ending, but yeah this game just ends, and you have the option to go back what starting the ending but meh. I do hope to see how they update this game later on. if i were you and you are wondering if you should play it, just play it if you like the out worlds you will love this.

I liked this A LOT. Actually was going to give it 10/10 but was pretty disappointed with the ending/final boss, not gonna spoil it here but it seems like they just gave up at the end. But man, dont let that distract you from playing this game. First of all the OST is absolutely EPIC, I loved the combat as well. You are basically a child in this game and have no weapons of your own but these spirits manifest when you need to attack, some are automatic, some are direct attacks andothers are projectiles/parry mechanics. I like the whole idea but I do notice towards the end game they give you more of these to use but they are pretty much useless compared to the original ones. I regret not giving the first game more of shot after playing this, though they are unrelated. This one can be pretty difficult at times but you can always change it if you are stuck, these enemy's can hit hard, ive died in one in some cases, but I had it on hard the entire time. It honestly reminded me of a souls like but this is pretty groundbreaking for metroidveinias. the game/map is HUGE, took me 17 hours to explore every little thing, and complete the game. It also has a good system in place letting you know you explored everything once you are done with an area. The absolute best part of this game and what sold me to play it in the first place : the art style. Holy hell, are these characters cool. From a vape smoking rat best to a samurai robot, it is so rad to see every character depicted in this game. If you like metroidveinias, soulslike, and a little bit of rougelite mechanics than this game is for you just please play it now you wont be disappointed.

But I gave up after an hour since I cant even start most routes. THis game can really LEARn a thing or two from loins lure, jusant and other climbing games, just that climbing in those game sis user intuitive you can literally just pick up and play those games, not this, it will frustrate you beyond belief even the tutorial . yeah climbing is hard in real life, I send 5.11-5.12 routes, and v8 boulders all the time, but this game is impossible and is garbage due to the missed opportunity and the controls. I tried both keyboard and controller, tried looking up 2 30 min you-tube videos, nope nothing worked. I hate the defs for not SHOWING you how to actually use this climbing scheme, and teasing me since there is not that many climbing games in the first place.

Metroidvanias can typically be very addicting and have great worlds to become immersed in, Steam and Cinder is no exception to this. If you like games in the same vein of blasphemous, bio-morph, nine-sols then this will be right up your alley. (Though this is much more accessible than those ) I LOVED the music in this game, just simply epic and that can really make or break the game sometimes. I also noticed some elden ring influence, although slight. It is somewhat a difficult game at first but becomes comically easy towards the mid to the end of the game. I think I only had 2 deaths while playing, and there is no way to increase the difficulty. There is also not a lot of replay value and is rather short, which can be a downside for some. It kept me entertained for 8 hours and I was close to 100 percenting it. A huge plus to the devs for allowing us to fast forward dialogue, and yeah there is a lot of that, its almost like a graphical novel game at some points.

Not crazy about it. It has an interesting premise and I am surprised more games dont follow the horror aspect when it comes to games involving war, games like the amnesia the bunker and this war of mine stand out in this saturated genre. This really would too however I saw reviewers and game channels comparing this to SIGNALIS with a difficulty curve similar to blasphemous. Nope, good try but no, its more like signalis's little brother with none of the story. The thing is this game fails when it wants to be an action game, then it fails when it wants to be a horror game. Combat is slow, clunky and just off- enemies are killing you with a lcub in one or two hits yet it takes 5 shots from a pistol close range to take them out? Huh last time I checked bullets beat melee weapons in most **** im hitting them first. Then the puzzles are the same "find key bring key over here, find key code , input code" nonsense you see in every horror game, rinse and repeat. just gets frustrating over time since its also kinda one of those "where the fck do I go " games. I actually think the survival horror element holds this game back in that context. this game is a perfect in example of great idea but flawed in actual game play.
