The Good Life

The Good Life is basically an RPG "fetch-quest" game with "life simulator" elements. It won't appeal to the masses, but if you are familiar with SWERY games this latest entry is def worth checking out. The presentation delivers everything we enjoyed about Deadly Premonition: odd and outdated game play mechanics, juxtaposed to a colorful cast of characters and a mystery that keeps us baited throughout the game. If you've ever played PS2 Japanese RPGs of the early 2000s, The Good Life will feel just right at home.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

I'm gonna have to give Infinite Warfare a solid score. It's not the best in the series but the consistent mechanics that made the series an easy-pickup shooter are still present. Campaign: Surprisingly good despite all the hate. It's pretty good looking, exciting, diverse and frantic. I'd say a pretty good step-up from Black Ops's campaign. Multiplayer: I'm gonna have to admit that this is the worst in the series. Though fun at times, there are still allot of issues that need addressing. The tight angle map designs, inconsistent spawns and lag-compensation ruins the experience of how COD shooter should play. I think if the devs work on these problems, it shouldn't feel that bad. Infinite warfare forces you to play slower and wittier... this sort of mechanic worked well in Modern Warfare, but not infinite warfare. The maps feel very tight and much more appropriate for a fast-twitch sort of shooter.

When it comes to the Football, PES 2017 just does the mechanics right.. 1. very smooth and responsive movements 2. Silk Dribbling 3. fast paced 4. Individual abilities on players The movement and fluidity is what makes this a very enjoyable football game. I'd pick this over FIFA.

Doom is a simple survival horror game with a twist. Instead of surviving the horrors. The horrors survive you. The story is simple: you wake up, you see a demonic invasion and then you start shooting. You find bigger and better guns as you fight along the hellions. This is old school, so there's none of that Call of Duty $hit. You strafe, run, shoot and carry a ton of weapons in your pocket. The mele-kills are **** awesome. When you see a demon about to die you can finish him off by a variety of executions. I love this game because it makes you feel like a pure bad-ass hero, and not some sorry-ass dude from an HBO drama series. If you want a game with story. You came to the wrong place. Delighted to see that Doom is willing to live up to it's name in the past. An unapologetic-nonsense shoot em up.

Night Cry is a love-letter to the good old days of low-budget Japanese horror titles. The game refuses to modernize itself from Awkward controls, Cringy dialogue, frustrating mechanics, and poor graphics. Night Cry will be frustrating to modern gamers. Having to navigate the unresponsive point and click movement... or your character constantly slipping while being chased by the Scissor-Man. These may seem like every reason not to get this game, but there's a charm behind these annoying mechanics. It brings back memories of playing Clock Tower: Ghost Mask on my PS1, or enduring the creepy vibes of Fatal Frame. If you enjoy novelty train-wrecks like Deadly Premonition, you should give this game a go. Overall there's no way to give Night Cry a balanced review.. it's either you love it cause it brings back memories, or hate it cause the game lives with its flaws. I loved this train-wreck **** so I'm going to give it a 9.

Insurgency does a few things that most modern FPS are too afraid to do. Keeping a perfect balance for fun and hardcore gamers. It uses some elements from Tactical games (Rainbow Six 1999-2004, ARMA etc) to keep it challenging, but not too much that it becomes a chore to enjoy. There are no cross-hairs to spray and pray, so you have to be extra careful. You'll also die in one shot from unpredictable places. The game forces you to work with your team to survive, but the frantic pace will not keep you bored. This review is also made on my Steam Account*

If you are familiar with Siege and Vegas you must know that those games are a departure from the original formula of R6. Although I do enjoy the modern R6, my favorite remains with the older ones. Rainbow Six was known for 3 core things in an open-world map. -Planning -Pacing -Executing REAL DEAL TAC-SIM The FPS mechanics are slow and tense. It's exciting because you will die in one hit. Forcing you to really emphasize upon the unpredictable enemies, and the organization of your team. Planning and teamwork are extremely crucial, but the game does not setup these assets for you. Instead you have to plan everything on your own. PLAN OR DIE 90% of the time you'll be stuck on the drawing board. You'll be switching back-and-forth between planning and action. The trial-and-error, and the random deployment of the enemies, makes it a satisfying challenge once you get everything right. You setup your team and choose their equipment based on the situation. You manage your own snipers, demolitions experts, assault teams and reconnaissance teams You manage their orders in the field through a complex waypoint system. At first glance, the whole planning phase will look like a chore. The maps look outdated and blocky, but if you give it time and patience you'll learn to appreciate it all. TRUE OPEN-WORLD GAME the non-linearity of the planning phase, gives you endless options on how you want to approach missions. The options are vast , you control when your team shoots, breach, and speed of their movement. TEAMMATES ARE LIKE DRONES, BUT THEY GET THE JOB DONE Your AI mates are drones that follow you everywhere you go. They do everything you say specifically and chronologically execute the orders based on the way-points you setup. Sometimes they'll come to an ad-hoc and that's when you know you some re-planning needs to be done. For a game that's decades old the game-play already has more "replayability" than Most triple-A titles these days. It takes time to appreciate a game that's not straightforward and a tad complicated, but once you do, you'll find that R6 is really something special. If you're new to the series, this will give you an original perspective on the series. You can then understand why allot of fans aren't too happy on where the series are heading.

I've been playing Raven Shield until today and Siege doesn't come close to it. I guess it's a risk in the market to make tactical shooters due to the popularity of Call of Duty like shooters. Putting the R6 purism aside, Siege is still a good game in it's own merit. It tries to be the sweet spot of the entire series. Combining the modern style of shooters (COD, BF3 etc) with the slow and tactical pace, the series was known for. This is a multiplayer only game, and frankly i don't mind it. You engage in 5 v 5 missions. Objectives are varied and preserved from the older games: Hostage Rescue, Bomb Defuse. You play as a 5 man-team. If you are assaulting you rescue the hostages or defuse bombs . The other 5 defends the objectives while setting up traps or barricades. I like defending objectives as this is something new. There's allot of emphasis on breaching in Siege. You can repel in any formation around buildings and breach through windows and walls to surprise your foes. Not everything however is destructible. In fact, most of the interior and exteriors are static. If you're into the series for a while, Terrorist Hunt is still as addicting as ever. You do the same objectives as the main online mode, but you fight enemy AIs alongside your team. Like most modern shooters there's it's own class character system called "Operators". You select a variety of characters with special abilities and weapons. Ubisoft are kind enough for us to provide these features without micro-transactions and DLCs.. if we're willing to play the game long enough. This kind of shooter requires allot of communication. So it's good to play with your friends. If you don't have a choice the game is still playable but expect allot of f***-ups along the way. If you're feeling trigger-itchy Terrorist Hunt on normal difficulty can be a nice escape, as the bots are sometimes easy to kill. Graphics wise, this game isn't that beautiful. Destructible environments and details are nice, but nothing "Next-Gen-impressive". Terrorist Hunt runs in 30 frames per second on Xbox one, while the regular online runs in 60. This game however feels like an unfinished product (which unfortunately is becoming the norm these days). It has server problems and glitches. Though I'm sure Ubisoft will address these, paying a full price for a game that doesn't work well is unacceptable. + Fun Online + Maintains Tactical feeling + Great to play with friends + Defending objectives are new and refreshing. - Not a finished product - meh graphics - Still not rainbow six enough
