Very fun game, I loved the art style and the mini stories, the overall story is also INSANE. The music is SO GOOD, sea zora song is peak. One thing that makes it a 9 instead of a 10 is the fact that some echoes are overpowered once you find ways to use them, so I usually try to stay away from those and use more difficult but creative solutions. Also you can speak to cats which is frickin hilarious.

Goated game, improved on hollow knight like crazy even though hollow knight is also a ten, amazing story and gameplay, definitely the best metroidvania ever IMO

Controls for this game are utter trash, scoring is based on luck, only time you can consistently score is penalty kicks against a person because goalie dives like they’re wearing 10kg metal boots, passing is unpredictable and never where you want it, and you can barely see what’s happening on the top of the screen.

This is my second favourite game of all time (behind silksong of course) for its shmovement, story, and expertly crafted levels and puzzles. This isn’t a “dig through a mountain mindlessly” game like some people think. Also that final boss made my jaw absolutely DROP. Dlc is also good!

Word play is a great, casual rogue lite, perfect for chill days. I can really use my brain to think strategically about my next word, and it’s not always just “what’s the longest word I can make with this 4x4 square of tiles”. It changes because of the many modifiers and special rounds that really shake up the gameplay. There’s 160 of them! Add in a few challenging modes and you got yourself a solid rogue lite that makes me come back on many occasions

Pretty good game. Mediocre adventure mode but great boss battles in it, love trying out different fever rackets they add a really cool twist to each game, and a bunch of fun unlockables and challenges. Movement feels weirdly delayed though and online needs teaming with friends for doubles ranked.

I absolutely love the story and gameplay and everything in this game. All the characters have such great personalities and each area is so vastly different and fun to explore. There’s never a shortage of things to do in this roughly 15 - 20 hour masterpiece

It’s honestly a great dlc, the problem is the focus on the overall mid attractions. The boss battles are some of the best I’ve ever played, and the challenges are very fun. The other additions like Rosalina are great too but again, if they had just used less effort in the park and more in something like a new world, this would be a 10.

Very fun. Tons of strategies to try and cosmetics to collect, but the movement can feel slightly janky. Luckily the devs are still updating it 2 and a half years later, and many bugs or annoyances that used to be there are gone. They are even trying to make a single player mode right now, so that’s cool

I don’t think they could’ve complemented this game with a dlc in a better way. The BEST part of Dk Bananza is 100% the movement and adding a rougelite mode where you are constantly dashing around the layers was so smart of them. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of this dlc, only trying a couple difficulty levels of 5/10 of the playable layers. I think the reason people hate on this dlc is 1. They haven’t accepted the choices of Nintendo’s pricing yet. Every game will be $100, every dlc will be $30 (CAD), deal with it. Even with emerald rush alone I still think this is worth $30, having played 10-15 hours of it and still wanting to do more because of how addicting it is. And 2. That they marketed DK Island to be such a big part of the dlc, when it’s just a little nostalgia buff. This would be 10/10 without Dk island, but it’s still a welcome addition. Overall this is a fun dlc to a fun game, building on DK’s amazing move set in a spectacular way.
