On the surface this game is great. The graphics are superb as is the core action gameplay. The native support for 21:9 resolution is appreciated as it looks amazing at 3440x1440. Hero classes are reasonably balanced, as are most game modes besides walker assault. Not everyone likes the power up or card system but I feel they fit in well with the game. And the most important thing about the game is that it runs smooth as butter and is very well optimized. Totally stable, no lag or micro-stutter, runs well on even low-spec PCs. Unfortunately the game has several major issues all relating to simple features missing or control scheme choices. Also the game is quite lacking in content for the price. Something that doesn't bother me but certain does for many other players. As far as gameplay issues go, the most serious issue we have on the PC is the lack of team balance, or team shuffling. Teams are never randomized and there is no way to switch teams manually. What we're seeing in nearly every match is a stacked team dominating one side game after game. For example you'll have 6 players in hero assault for hours on end with no changes on one team, while the opposing team cycles 50+ players through the meat grinder who join and leave. The number of matches where it's 10v20 or 2v6 for often the duration of the entire match is far too many. At the very least teams should auto balance with each match change. Certainly this can be done while still maintaining parties. Even if it isn't a full team balance, something is still better than nothing whilst still maintaining friends/parties on the same side. Other major issues include the PC control scheme for flight controls. In beta the controls were great, with direct mouse input to vehicle flight control. Very precise and a pleasure to fly. However now we're discovering that the flight controls are a sluggish joystick emulation style control. Basically flying an x-wing feels like driving a car on a sheet of ice. It's a mess. A huge mess. Most fighter squadron matches are just chat rooms of players complaining about how the beta test flight controls were better. Lastly we're missing common features like the ability to see players ping, or even a server browser. There's not even a way to kick or ban cheaters who blatantly use hack software... instead relying only on the automated mechanism which could take days or weeks to work. Something i'm sure we'll sorely miss in due time.

This game is little more than a mod of battlefield 4. Or in this age of game development for profits regardless of detriment to quality, a DLC or add-on. Not worth more than $20, yet EA wants over $100 for all the content. Absurd. The gameplay is lame compared to other battlefield titles, so I suggest everyone who is a fan stick to battlefield 4 and keep your fingers crossed that the idiots at the helm of EA don't screw up battlefront 3.

All these negative reviews are fake or from bots. Just read their stupid comments that don't detail any specifics about the game, and then see they only have one review history with recent account creation. Metacritic should be ashamed to let this happen. Truly grand RPG for PC. Graphics are best of any game to date. Voice acting is excellent. Combat is very fun, especially when favoring use of rogue stealth and evasion mechanics or warrior charge abilities. The free-roam exploration where you just happen to run into quests and the unexpected is not at all linear and reminiscent of Skyrim. The tactical combat so many prefer from Origins is present in all its glory, although there is a clear console-oriented simplicity to it, which may be a let-down for some. I prefer to only use tactical actions during boss fights or when being overwhelmed, so this doesn't bother me so much. However, the AI tactics you can configure for each character is very simplified, only a fraction of what was available in origins. I prefer the simplicity right now, but will probably reverse this stance when I go for a max difficulty second playthrough. Crafting is solid and well designed. Not too overwhelming that players would ignore it. The potion design, upgrade, and replenishment mechanic is well thought out when you consider how camps are established throughout the various areas. I had no intention of playing this game with a mouse and keyboard, and havn't tried it, but from all my gameplay with a controller I can't imagine that it is as good as with a controller. This doesn't really bother me though. For years i've favored the couch + controller over my desk + mouse/keyboard. I strongly recommend a high end graphics card with 3GB or more of memory to max out the game settings. Very memory intensive. Playing on PC with PS4 controller (xbox 360 controller emulation via DS4Windows). PC specs 3770k, 16GB ram, GTX 970.

Absolutely love borderlands 2 but have a lot of trouble stomaching this game. My number one complaint is the poor humor and most of the voice actors have thick Australian accents. The new oxygen resource and low gravity mechanics are lame, and only detract from the great gun play of borderlands 2. I bought this game even after reading bad reviews because I had just finished playing through the masterpiece that is Tiny Tina's assault on dragon keep as well as the extremely funny Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre. Was a mistake.

Simple addicting fun. It's like r-type and metroid had a baby 5 console generations later. The game could have used a little more direct combat with quality AI though. I was hoping for something on-par with einhander, but after 17 years it still hasn't happened.

PvE is good, very borderlandsish. The always online requirement is stupid, as there is no real online feel to the game unless you gather several friends going into play. Playing with strangers just doesn't work, at least it won't until the developers add proximity based voice communication. As for the PvP... well it just plain ****. Very unbalanced, both weapon and class-wise. Ultimate ability yield about 50% of kills, which are all instant kills. Explosives and melee are most of the rest. All the PvP maps are too tight close quarters, which was a huge let down to see after playing through the massive PvE zones.

The game is very fun and remarkably addicting. If you enjoy the hardcore strategic and competitive nature of games like DotA but prefer WASD movement, controls similar to combat found in most MMORPGs, as well as games like Fury, Natural-Selection, or team fortress, then this game is for you.

Back in June I rated this game poorly due to its pre-mature release lacking many features. Now October version 1.4, the game is so much better. In its current state it is far superior to Path of Exile and Diablo 3. The game has steadily increased its player numbers, but its ashame about the poor launch. If the game had been released in its current state I'd bet there would be half a million players. And in one week we'll be getting a brand new PvP gamemode. Can't wait!

The voice acting, character design, level design, all great. Quick time events are annoying. Lack of inverted mouse or gamepad controls makes the few gunfights difficult. Pathetic that inverted controls are not an option. However the game got a bad score from me for really just one reason. Player decisions do NOT make a difference, despite what is constantly prompted to players on-screen. The problem here is that this is the key feature of a point and click adventure like this. Take any major event in the game for example. Typically there will be a series of 6 to 10 dialogue or action sequences, each with up to 4 choices. That's great in theory, but your selections make no difference on how the story unfolds. **** is going to unfold how the writers want it no matter Lee's actions. Sure it may seem like you have choice at times, such as choosing between saving one persons life over another, or choosing to kill someone or not, but by the next scene it makes no difference. Those are only a few canned events. You'll still be headed down the same linear path. Nothing dynamic about it. There was more freedom of decision with consequence playing Leisure suit Larry 15 years ago.

It shouldn't be permitted to sell such an unfinished product. I expected much better considering this has been a top seller on steam for over a week. This game is easily a year from being playable. Within the first 2 hours of playing I crashed to desktop twice, had to repeat the tutorial 3 times due to servers issues, and had to wait for a hotfix patch just to play with others (error: servers are full & error: invalid login). The combat is promising, but currently it seems very limited and dull. Linear game play with few strategies. Games like Guild Wars 1 & 2, Rift, and Smite, have similar combat (specifically no-grind equal footing PvP) but are much more expansive on strategy options, not to mention a more polished product.

Pros: Very very well optimized game engine. Smooth as butter with the latest nvidia beta drives that increase Far Cry 3 FPS by 37%. The combat is decent (but super easy no challenge on max difficulty). The map is huge. A PC game that is a pleasure to play with the 360 controller on the sofa. Cons: Poor AI. Repeated character model and dialogue use - this is really really bad - you see the same identical npcs everywhere (like 10 times as bad as skyrim). While the map is large, it feels small because combat only occurs on about 1% of the map. God i wish there was a patch that increased the difficulty.... cuz the combat is stupidly simple.

The core gameplay is fun, albeit with a few annoyances. The epic scale with smooth gameplay is very impressive. The game is addicting and causes time to fly by. Pros: Massive scale, very fun, extremely team oriented. VOIP communication is critical for tactical gameplay. Play the way you want. Support classes are totally viable. Air combat is amazingly fun. Cons: The business model. Free to play, but takes 6 months at 25 hours a week to max just one infantry and one vehicle. Subscribers who have bought a few weapons and boosts can do that in 3 weeks. Costs maybe $50 + $15 a month. Simply put, infrequent free players are going to be at a disadvantage. The game is definitely designed to **** people into buying station cash. I have already spent $180 on the game and have a moderate advantage over new players, but hopefully that advantage will fade after 6 months or so. The graphics do not appear to be state of the art because the ultra setting was removed from the game at the very end of beta due to stability issues. The game is not multithreaded, which is a big problem for people with slower CPUs or even high end AMD CPUs. i5 and i7 CPUs are required to have satisfactory framerates on high settings. CPU clock speed directly affects framerates (GPU not so much), so overclockers benefit a lot. The annoyances to which I was refering are the invulnerable shield spawn locations where stalemate battles may continue for often 30 minutes at a time. I find these annoying and they are the epitome of spawning camping. You can literally die 20 times in 5 minutes to spawn camping. Some people like this, but I hate it.

This game is just too damn impressive. Every competitive PC gamer needs to buy this. It can be rough for newbies, but its still super fun even when you're getting your ass handed to you. I love that this is a game where player skill makes a huge difference, unlike all the run and gun stupidity conquering mainstream FPS games. A pair of good players can totally carry a battle... but a good commander leading a squad of newbies can equally carry a victory. And the fact that such a small team designed such a great game engine blows my mind! I just wish all those big budget games would use an engine that looks and plays as smoothly as Unknown Worlds Spark engine. It looks frickin' amazing at 2560x1440 resolution!

Max settings at 2560x1440 it looks like an early release unreal 3 engine game of 5 years ago. There are many unreal 3 engine games with significantly better graphics.

I followed Guild Wars 2 religiously for years. I played every single available minute during the beta tests and stress tests. The PvE is better than any MMORPG overall, especially because it is fun, never frustrating or tedious. Exploration is especially enjoyable. My only dislikes are the lack of public group options, and World versus World PvP. WvW PvP is an unbalanced frustrating mess. I spent over 100 hours over few weeks in WvW, and have since written it off. I have no plans of touching it until it is severely overhauled. However sPvP and PvE is very fun still. There is also a serious problem with hackers... something I've not seen hurt an MMO in nearly 8 years.

Very enjoyable. I've not tried playing online yet, but I am really enjoying single player. My only complaint is that higher difficulty levels don't up the AI factor, instead just increase enemy stats and reduce your own level, essentially forcing players to not only do all side-quests, but reach a point of being underleveled and needing to farm experience.

The camera is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Capcom obviously needs to hire different play testers. Oh my good god what a bad camera. It is WAY to close. It needs zoomed out 300% and raised from shoulder height to above head level. Besides that, the graphics are **** 720p blurry textures averaging 24 fps on PS3, and that's better then xbox. Where is my PC version with superior graphics? Non existent without a release date. The game has no horror feeling to it at all. It is not even scary. So, that means it is a linear action game. Well, if that's its genre, then it royally ****. Oh and quick time events..... Just plain stupid. I want me $60 back. The game blows goat balls. Camera problems and quick time events straight up ruin the experience.

The only improvement over ff13 is the combat system, which is than gimped by only having 2 characters! There hasn't been a good final fantasy game since the PS1 era.
