Saw this last night. Honestly, it's not as bad as what the critics are saying. It definitely isn't the best Marvel movie; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters. I LOVED the historical tie-ins. I think the reason why people don't like this movie is it's a cerebral, "big brain" movie. I was also giggling at the fact that Sersei went from one Stark brother to another Stark brother (Game of Thrones reference).

Mary Poppins Returns8
Feb 7, 2019
I was afraid that I was going to hate this movie, because I love Mary Poppins. However, after watching it, I absolutely loved it. First of all, Emily Blunt plays a fantastic role of Mary Poppins. I truly believe that Julie Andrews would be okay with this. Second of all, this is not only a sequel, but it holds true to the spirit of the original movie. If you look, the songs are very similar to Mary Poppins in the style and order of the film. Of course, Mary Poppins is better than Mary Poppins Returns. However, this movie is good too. Please don't be afraid of change and see this movie. If you hold Mary Poppins true to your heart like I do, you'll still love it.

Ready Player One10

Before you read this, I DID NOT READ THE BOOK, so this is based on the movie itself. To be quite honest, there was a lot of hype surrounding this movie with a pretty exciting trailer. I looked at that trailer, and came to the conclusion that it could go one of two ways. The film could be really good, or it could really **** and all the references would be gimmicks. Well, to be honest, I really enjoyed the movie. I felt the story was great with the shift to and from fantasy and reality. I loved the fact that I caught so many easter eggs along the way as well. I loved that it incorporated nostalgia and friendship into one movie, and those battle scenes though. I liked this movie so much it even brought a tear to my eye at one point. I feel as if this movie is something everyone can enjoy. Take your significant other, parents, friends, etc. to see it. I'm sure they'd love it as much as I did.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story8
Dec 23, 2016
The first time I watched the trailer, I was like meh. After watching the movie, I was pleasantly surprised. While I feel like this is not the most epic Star Wars movie ever (I mostly like lightsaber fights when it comes to Star Wars, and Rogue One does not have lightsaber fights), it's certainly decent. It's a classic father-daughter story, where you come to care about the characters. The robot droid was hysterical, honestly. Also, the tribute to characters such as Grand Moff Tarkin, was believable and plain creepy that they brought an actor who's been dead since the 90's, back to life. It was a pretty fantastic movie, much better than Force Awakens.

Sing7

After watching Despicable Me and Secret Life of Pets, Sing sounded like an interesting movie to watch. After watching Sing, I concluded that the movie was semi-decent. The story was interesting, the songs were good, etc. My problems with the movie was the fact that "Dream On" was played in the trailer, but it was not in the movie. That is annoying. The other problem I had was the plot seemed to go all over the place. It's a good family movie to see this holiday season, but do not expect it to be quality like Secret Life of Pets or Despicable Me.

Star Trek Beyond10

Wow! All I can say is wow! I'm in my mid 20's, and I grew up with Star Trek all of my life. My childhood memories consist of watching the Star Trek series and the movies. In 2009, I was happy when J.J. Abrams rebooted the franchise in movie format. The first reboot, I liked. I loved the new characters. While the story was alright, I enjoyed the movie. Into Darkness was an alright movie, but I did not like them ripping off from Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. I love the fact that this movie has an original storyline, as well as elements from the Star Trek universe. I feel like, when J.J. Abrams was directing, that it was all about action and whatnot. Star Trek Beyond grasps what Star Trek was supposed to be like. The character development was fantastic. The Bones and Spock interaction was on point from what the original series was. The movie felt like a glorified two-part episode, which was fantastic. My girlfriend, while new to Star Trek, did not enjoy the first two reboots but she loved this movie. Go see it!

X-Men: Days of Future Past9
May 31, 2014
I want to say before I write this review that I loved X-Men First Class and I enjoyed X-Men the Last Stand, so this movie is something I've been hyped for, since it was announced. As a movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great X-Men movie. However, I did not like the continuity in this movie as opposed to other movies, which is why I gave it a 9 out of 10. Also, I felt that the Quicksilver scene was a bit unnecessary. Ultimately, even though there are not as many action scenes as I would have though, the story was amazing. I also love James McAvoy as Professor X. I think he does it pretty well. I'm excited for the new movie.

A Million Ways to Die in the West7
May 31, 2014
I read the reviews for this movie before I went, so I knew what I was expecting going in. Ultimately, the funny parts were in the trailers. There was a few new laughs, but they weren't all that funny. I liked the story, and it had its moments. It had a bit of romance in it, which I liked. There was wayy too much poop humor, and I wish there had been less of it. I've never been a fan of that kind of humor. Ted was much, much better, and I look forward to watching this on Netflix or getting this in the $5 bin, because it's not worth more than that.
