Fun game, but quite short compared to binding of Isaac. The game does become quite repetitive and It's attempt to try to infuse some social media gamification is gimicky at best. I did enjoy: -Possession is a fun game mechanic. -The monster coloring per monster combo is nice. -The music is impressive for an indie game. -The characters and story are enjoyable albeit lacking in depth. -Few crashes (one at lvl13) -The stat system is easy to pick up and play with while retaining some 'flavor' -Itemization is random but often end up being useful What I wasn't thrilled about: -Lack of model change per monsters combos (flame sword on ghost ie) -The optimal Shrines strategy is to not use them. -Dungeons feel the same even if randomized -Beginning is a grind to re-do -Glitch door -Combat is repetitive and falls into "complete domination" or "die fast" too easily, lack of balance -Feels impossible to beat with certain build choices like affliction. -Most monsters skills are useless -Money(Yarnballs) becomes useless quickly -Price is a bit high at 15$ compared to BoI or The Pit Fun game, I hope they continue and explore the violent/cruel/adamancy/relentlessness system and make it a bit better with more interesting (and more balanced) spells and game mechanics.

Video game is like porn sometimes: It's not about the story, it's about the pleasure. This game is fun overall but unrewarding at times. New game plus or hard is the way to go. + Gameplay + Art and Style + Setting + Music - Story Too many loose threads in the story. Some parts are nonsensical. If girl is not under control of boss then why trust her? Boss always look for power except on this one? Akira and Evangelion were better at symbolism in stories. They should have studied them instead of banally recombining the artistic scheme. Still a good effort. I liked it.

This game is beyond my expectations. I didn't think it would be this addictive. Have you ever had this feeling where you want to finish a game but you don't want to at the same time? That's how I'm like with this game. Music is better than I thought, it's really good. Gameplay is amazing. Story is somewhat regular but with some twist which makes it superior to most nes games. I hope this review helps! OMG I have work to do! ciao!..

One of the best platformer games I've played in a long time. +You can choose the area to go to after these areas are unlocked. +You can come back to open up secrets later once you find items and upgrade for your character. +Boss fights are interesting. +The pace is good, the movements are fluid. +-The character is a bit slow at the beginning but he gets better with some upgrade. +No bugs whatsoever for me. +nice 8/16 bits graphics +superb soundtrack I estimate it took me anywhere from 8 to 10 hours of gameplay for a full run, all items and secrets.

Beautiful graphics, nice sound, poor character development and overall story, childish equipment system and castle management. Looting is what I found worst while playing the game. It's so slow and annoying. You'll spend 10 hours on the game and 5 of these hours will be spent on picking things up and organizing your characters. It's awfully boring. The combat system feels like a single player mmorpg where you spam-click 2 or 3 buttons the whole time. The characters in this game are uninsteresting.

Poor interface, terrible gameplay plus the 3d graphics and randomly generated dungeons are awful... I don't recommend this game at all. Waste of money and time. Try legend of grimrock instead or replay the old mm... This game has nothing to offer as far as I've seen.

Terrible console game. Very linear, kinda slow. Gameplay is fireballs, shield, fireballs. Crafting subsystem is weird, it isn't clear and when you get it right, it doesn't give you that much more. It feels like some old people made the game. The story is somewhat dumb. I wonder who financed this project... Oh, and the graphics are good as a saving grace.

The graphs are amazing, more realistic than Crysis 3 imo and the story is so good that it feels more realistic than CNN news can be. Great Game! I loved it. I encountered a bug early on where I couldn't load the game, but right after everything went smoothly. I have 2 smallish problems with it: 1. it's too short. I want more. I'm already through with it. 2. Shovel knight ought to have an epic quest to find a different shovel or get more tricks! Otherwise it was great.

I don't understand how this is considered only 58% here. The official reviewers should try more diverse genres before giving such low mark to a really good game. I bought it for only 3.89$ on steam, I just haven't stopped playing in days. I love it. The system is great, it's challenging yet forgiving. It allows you to customize your different cards (towers or magic) and has multiple talents to choose from. I think it's the first 3D paid tower game which is actually well balanced. The story is small but fun and adds to the style of the game. Well, I wish we could classify games on steam by user ratings instead of critics ratings. BTW there's a demo for this game. I played it before buying the game, it convinced me.

Shadowrun Returns3

I just finished the game. The ending story is nice but the ending itself was poorly done. The game is too easy all along. There's no replay value to the main story since it's so damn linear. Kill forward kill. It's a game built for consoles. I'm pretty sure they're going to release this on xbox and such and that's probably why it's so easy. The UI is oversimplified. The combat gets very repetitive once you got the moves down. The buffing system is annoying as hell, with rebuffs every few turns.

Combat is quite repetitive. Fun to play while watching tv or listening to an audiobook at the same time... I wouldn't consider this a sacred game. It does look like an IOS type game. Simple controls, blocky mid-rez graphics, very short in every respect. Story isn't worth mentionning imo.

Crysis 38

Finally arrived, Crysis 3 lives up to the expectations of everyone in terms of graphics but only a few will enjoy the story. Ai is good but bot too much to keep beginners happy. I definitely recommend a first play at Veteran for people who play a lot of fps. Harder settings display more accurately the power of the engine though so don't be afraid of trying them out too.

I wasn't happy with this remake. It's mostly built for mobile phone I think. You don't control the character. He move forward on his own. Got to the last boss on first play, and quit. Boring fights.

The hunting feeling is great, but your character gets strong really fast and then completely overpower anything on the island. Bosses: Vaas was great, the rest were all stereotypical and boring. The main character doesn't behave as I would like him to also. He's scared of blood :p. He doesn't have sex with the girls. He never just hold on to one bad guy after beating him up and ask him to explain why the **** do they all work for this sickos? Wonderful environment otherwise. I Loved it.

Great gameplay, medium graphics, extremely annoying dialogs. I stopped playing because of the dialogs, they just won't shut up. The science isn't terribly accurate either, but if you are reading this, you probably graduated from a public school in the usa so you really don't care.

This game had a rather poor storyline. Quite uninteresting. The gameplay does redeem the game over time, but it also has some flaws unfortunatly. It's pretty much a blend of thief 1-2 with a more action type of roleplay like bioshock. They try to convince you that your actions have consequences but the different paths you can take a truly dim, you won't find Deus Ex 1 or Baldur's gate type of choices in this one.

Fun game, looks like the other yearly magic but with some improvement. I'd like for the single player game to last longer, otherwise everything has been polished: the graphics, the combat, the abilities, the gameplay. I recommend it.

ME3 did not feel as good as ME2. The story was a bit clumsy, the characters unfriendly and the relationship in-between them vacuous or unrealistic. I felt like I was watching a young girl playing with barbie dolls, but with a science-fiction plot instead of a pink play house. Don't get me wrong, the Sci-Fi idea behind all of ME is epic, I loved it. But this last chapter failed to deliver because of the story-telling and the quite repetitive console-like gameplay. Here's how you beat the game: Move forward, shoot, repeat. You have nothing to think about or care about to beat the game.

Syndicate (2012)1
Feb 25, 2012
Man, this game is not at all like the first ones! It's so boring, it's effectively a poorly done copy of Deus Ex with the name syndicate on it!! Stay away from it, even if you get it for free it's rather aweful. Warning: Console-port! You will walk forward the whole time in small rooms with dumb enemies. I give 1 for the graphics. The story isn't very good, the gameplay ****, the directing was done by a beginner who couldn't improve a poor script.

Unlike other reviewer, I didn't get any bugs while playing this game. I think it's a good release which stands strongly in the veins of HOMM but it's lacking in newness. It's mostly built to be a multiplayer game I think, which I'm not a huge fan of. The campaign is fairly short but you get to play many races. Overall, not impresive but still enjoyable.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine3
Nov 2, 2011
Fantastic Graphics, Nice Design, Nice Sound Effects, Nice Hud, Nice Controls. But man is this game boring! It's another one of those completely linear console ports with invisible walls everywhere and pre-determined outcomes for every battles. The story is repetitive, and the characters have no depth. It's mindless button pushing, without the adrenaline that's supposed to come with it. I would only recommend this game for young kids or old people. But it seems too violent for both... I really don't know who made this thing and for what.

Good game overall, neat graphics, nice game play, cool story, challenging levels. In all this I still think there was a bit too much monotony to the game, and it was shorter than I expected. The character modifications were too few also. I enjoyed the idea of having special levels just to get a good challenge with the weapons. The overall western-dystopia genre is very polished in this one.

Boring Fallout 3 wannabe. Poor story, no character dept, washed up lines. Graphics are both fantastic and horrible. Close-up, they are Snes looking, and from far out the landscapes looks photorealistic. The game play is repetitive. The controls are not made for PC. Forget Quake 1-2-3, Doom 1-2, Heretic and Hexen. The ID era is gone forever.
