With an exceptional twist (that seems nonsense at first, but as you think about it the more you buy and appreciate it) and an incredible lead (Laura Cohen), The Boy takes on both grounds, one that questions whether the doll is alive, or is there a more rational explanation? In which, the movie's premise never fails to entice the viewer, plus the lead's reasonable motives makes the movie more of "I would have done the same" type of horror film rather than "your average January horror film. So with Barely any jump scares, the movie is more creepy, mysterious and a puzzle rather than just flat out scary.

It is campy, goofy and cheesy. "House of the Dead" is pure awful, but it depends on how you see it, you're gonna treat it seriously, you are not pleased, you have fun with it with friends and NEVER take it seriously, you'll end up having fun, but in both way, it is a TERRA-BLE movie. To start off with, the acting is awful, it is never convincing, and forced. The whole plot doesn't make sense, he pays a thousand dollars just to get to that island, it is obviously awful. The only reason I wanted to review this film, I wanted to see if Uwe Boll movies are as bad as I heard they are, they are, he just tries to create a stupid, goofy and cheesy horror film that just works for me as a forgettable, funny and hilariously stupid film.

I love Jaume Collet-Serra's films, they are interesting and they are always apart of being mediocre, I loved "Unknown" which also stars Liam Neeson. "Orphan" which is one of my all time favorites. Despite I knew little to nothing about this film, when the credits showed up I recognized it is a Jaume Collet-Serra film. As for Non-Stop it is a rapid intense ride, filled with cool cinematography and executions. If you are able to buy the characters you will enjoy every frame despite the lack of perfection.

Not a perfect film, thus it is compelling and effective. The story of Lisel is one of the few that stay with you. Beautiful score & lovable characters. The whole story is bold & courageous.

Easily one of the best. "Philomena" is a wave of emotions directly into the viewer's heart, having one of the best performances I have ever seen and one of the most effecting, touching stories ever made. Although I would like if more of Philomena's life was discussed, although this aspect does not harm any of the aspects of the film. Wonderful cinematography, lovable actors and touching characters. Philomena is slightly one of the greatest of all time.

One of the best of 2013, I regret how many times I passed on this film, it is a full-of-soul masterpiece. The actors fit like a glove, Bruce Dren is great, June Squibb is lovely and Alexander Payne is a genius!

This is one of the worst movies ever made. I have no problems with parodies but if they were done bearably, "Scary Movie" franchise got down the hell but for the most part it was passable. "The Starving Games" seems like those Youtube parodies that are noticed when the movie goofed is forgotten.

I just hate the fact that it is a Found-Footage horror film because it makes it a big cliche, but who knows, it could turn out pretty good! But in fact, it would have been ten times better. Skinwalkers Ranch obviously is a rushed horror film done with hand held cameras. I hated found footage horror films since "The BELL witch haunting" if anyone knows this one. Regarding Skinwalkers Ranch, it has one of the best CGI i've seen in horror movies, it is done extremely well. I liked the look of the CGI more than the whole film, I loved the credits at the end, I loved the alien ships, I loved the alien and the fact that only one alien is shown terrorizing the crew. The acting is better than other indie horror films, but the whole found footage style is ruining the image of the film in the eyes of the movie buffs (I wasn't looking forward to this just because of the found footage aspect of the film). The whole plot is not as original but better than recents. The beautiful CGI reminded me of "Signs" which is a masterpiece. I appreciate the hard work on aspects of the film, but I can't ignore the fact that it is rushed & found footage, I swear it would've been really better if it was cinematically shot, but unfortunately it is not so i WON'T FULLY RECOMMENDED IT but you might want to give it a shot. For indie lovers & sci-fi lovers.

I didn't really have a major problem with its predecessor, it was just a fun, forgettable fantasy that is desperately trying to be the next Harry Potter but absolutely failed. As for "Sea of Monsters" it is completely bland, awfully dull with bad CGI and an unattractive plot and fantasy sequences, it is just trying to be the next Harry Potter and fails for sure.

People these days won't bother to check out classics, but waste their time on nonsense stories rather enjoying a classic one. Every classic needs a GOOD remake so these generations would differentiate the excellent from awful. The re-imagining of the tragic classic tale/play is just wonderful. These young actors prove that they are perfectly capable to flawlessly carry out such important roles in cinema history without distorting their image, because Romeo & Juliet (2014) is one of the best.

The original "Robocop" has been an instant classic and a favorite to almost all people. in reference to the remake, it is pretty decent and worth a watch; it is a refreshing look at one of the best, not disappointing but in fact more than pleasing with a surprisingly a strong re-watchable value to it.

Really good! In fact, I really enjoyed it! It funny, entertaining & has cool chemistry between the two main actors. It is cliched & done before, but it is just a cheesy bumpy ride throughout!!

A fabulous film! Wonderfully crafted & beautifully animated! The story of Anna & Elsa is both beautiful & touching. "Frozen" assures the fans that disney still has the magic.

If not the dramady of the year, it is one of the year's best. "August: Osage County" holds a magnificent cast, strong acting and a strong plot. I highly recommend this movie, Meryl Streep & Julia Roberts are the strongest aspect of the film. You have to watch this film..

The Banshee Chapter isn't the best, but it is decent enough, compared to modern horror films it is a masterpiece. I wasn't on full edge, but some aspects of the film are shocking & disturbing. I have never seen similar plot on the big screen, so technically it is original. Don't expect Oscar worthy acting here, but pleasing enough. I liked it, I won't go on full recommendation, but worth a check.

I have neglected this movie my whole life because I was judging the book by its cover, but with all honesty, I believe it is one of the best "tamed" comedies I have ever seen, and also a great story with lovable characters & acting. Just a very funny, full of heart feel good comedy, highly recommended.

I never had any problem with such movies, for example "Twilight" or "The Host" movies that I like to call "Triangular Teen Love Stories" always the same content. As for "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones", which is the first motion picture of the upcoming book-based trilogy. This movie holds an interesting enough premise to grab your attention (although obvious that Screen Gems wants the next Twilight). It is not overall original but it is better than the above titles. It is not anything that you will keep in memory, it is just "it's there" type of movie, no more.

One of my favorite movies, and ten times better than Red Dawn (2012) although I liked Red Dawn (2012). It is pretty intense and interesting piece of film making, the characters are full of emotions, heart and spirit. It is funny, sad, intense, thought ****. I just love every second of it.

Why people are bashing this movie? I bought Red Dawn the night before, and I found it pretty decent, it falls apart throughout, but it is actually a decent watch, I enjoyed it, it was entertaining and exciting, not perfect in any sense. one dimensional characters, not really convincing but for what it is, it is a B popcorn movie to not be taken seriously but only for fun.

Devil's Due has some decent ideas, but for most of the time it lacks originality, scares. If it was digging enough into the characters, I would pass it as a strange gothic, but it is not. I will say it is probably a guilty pleasure, because the last 10 minutes of the film makes it entertaining to watch although hard with the cliched found-footage style, but what I sighted of the last 10 mins was good enough to pass the movie as a 4 out of 10. Although deserving less, but I have something for these found footage movies.

Although interesting in its own way, it is a tedious experience that I will never forget. Zoe Bell would be rather a good recommendation, but it is nothing too special.

The Wolf of Wall Street serves an intelligent plot and lovable great actors with the screenplay of the year all on one golden plate. It is hilarious, smart, sexy and edgy. Loved every second of this movie.

47 Ronin is similar in feeling to "Immortals", "Conan the Barbarian" although really better than both of these, it is still not magnificent, but I surprisingly had a really good time throughout. The 3D is not the greatest ever, but has the 80's 3D effects of things popping out of the screen, deep and enjoyable. The plot is with no doubt similar to the above movies and has cliches but it is just a popcorn over the top film.

Terribly unfunny and crudely unoriginal. Waste of talents. I hated every single moment of this torturous experience. I advise anyone looking for a good time to buy White Chicks on DVD and just burn the hell out of it, paying to buy this and burn it is better than sitting through it.

My least favorite animation of all time. Unfunny, mean and doesn't make any sense. The characters are annoying and cliched, the whole plot is one big positive message executed badly. I just hate "Dr. Suess' The Lorax" it is one of my least favorite movies of all time.

Big Momma's House is not perfect in any means, but it is smart in its own way but tries to be hilarious in every single way possible and that got on nerves because it doesn't always work. The plot is smart and the characters are fun although not deep enough to make us care for them. So if you are just looking for some old school popcorn movie to watch with friends on a Saturday afternoon this is it.

Big Mommas House 2 manages to be as smart and original as the first but fails although this sequel is more annoying, less original but it is light hearted and sweet. The whole idea of the both movies is not perfect in any sense, just cheesy, hilarious and very touching.

Like Father, Like Son is the weakest of the series and one of the worst comedies ever made. Unoriginal, unfunny and very annoying. The jokes are outdated and cliches all over the place, it was a torturous experience for me, and this Big Momma has gone way too far from the original concept of solving big smart cons and crimes into simple ones. I did not like this one.

A Madea Christmas isn't your typical type of comedy, although it is light hearted but sometimes rude, Madea's deep but weird sweetness is to surely please the watchers along with the laughs.

Easily one of the best horror movies 2013. It is effective and unlike most horror movies, it connects to real life. Although being extremely dark and very disturbing, at a certain level, it is entertaining although horrifying. It has "Orphan' movie feeling to it, although being better than 2009's horror hit "Orphan". Dark Touch is a well-made film, very twisted, disturbing and horrifying.

Blue is the Warmest Color is actually the best picture of 2013. You might consider it a pornography for aristocratic people it is not, and most importantly it is not a pornography; it is a window to certain lives, it is beautiful and so realistic, porn is fake, this is so realistic, deserving Academy Award Nominations for both actresses. It is well written, shot and directed, the shaky camera aspect of the film makes it so believable and very realistic. It is very intense at times, very passionate throughout and very ambitious, characters are in some risky situations or even in danger or in a fight, every shot throughout makes you care even more for the characters. Not only an epic love story but also shows the absolutely poisonous look of society towards Gay people. Blue is the Warmest Color is a 3 hours long epic romantic drama, well shot, well written and well directed and acted, everything is done passionately behind the camera and on the camera. A+

If you've been unfortunate enough and watched the first "I Spit on Your Grave" you'll know what to expect. This movie has the same concept as the first one, revenge. I Spit on Your Grave 2 represents more of an interesting character, strong and beautiful. This sequel is ten times more Twisted, Shocking and Disturbed than the first one. Although there are improvements enough to gain a higher rating than the first, there is still lack of explanation. Flat characters are present, but more bearable than the first (not as bad). It is more new, creative and pretty much more interesting than its predecessor. There are some visuals and color contrasting, although it wasn't their aim to have cool visuals but it worked for me. Katie is more secure than Jennifer, but still makes the same mistake as Jennifer, she trusts strangers. If I dig into its mistakes, first of all, I would spoil a lot, and secondly I would make you avoid it, I don't want you to avoid it as much as the first one, because this sequel (straight to Video) is way better than the first (theatrically released). Finally, I will not recommend it for everyone, but it is somehow worth a look. Skip the first and watch this one, they are not related in any means.

There is a lot to talk about here, so many things to discuss, so many mistakes, and lots of plot holes. To start with, I got that Jennifer Hills (age is not mentioned) is somehow in her early twenties and is WRITER! Did she even finish college? I wasn't really convinced, I guess that an older actress would be better, and I am not relating to the remake because I didn't watch it, I am judging this as a movie with no connections. There is a scene where she spills Whisky on her LEGS, why would she start washing her cloths the scene after This doesn't make any sense. Why would she kiss a stranger? Full of Dumb Actions, and that makes us care less for these characters due to their stupid actions/decisions. The characters are flat, just to carry the plot on, just veins, no digging the past at all, or anything else to make us care more for the character, and if the remade film is like this, they should have development. The whole movie is dull, although the **** scene is cruel shocking and disturbing, it is still dull and uninteresting, due to the flat characters that don't share feelings with the audience at all! Why? I don't want to spoil more, but there is some unexplainable things somewhere near the end (don't make any sense). But I admit the third act is awesome, everything after the **** is pretty interesting, predictable but entertaining and shocking, it has that old school buzz to it, but it doesn't save it from getting negative response! The acting got better by the time. But on my own standards I won't recommend this to anyone, it is pretty sick, gross, disturbing and really shocking. No one wants to see anyone getting tortured especially seeing an almost innocent girl (she smokes weed) but still.

Pitch Perfect is Uproarious Fun! Rebel Wilson is Very Funny in this movie! All the cast is Lovable, Pitch Perfect is pretty entertaining for everyone!

Classic. American Psycho is a masterpiece. Christian Bale is phenomenal. Patrick Bateman is the most interesting character I have ever seen on screen.

I really liked The Hunger Games, it was truly different, original and overall very entertaining and touching. Catching fire is a really big improvement on the first Hunger Games, no shaky cameras first of all. Not always that we get good sequels, this middle installment **** upcoming trilogy is fun, although gripping and violent, entertaining for everyone looking for a good time.

Turbo is despite having a predictable and all-seen-before plot, it is terrifically enjoyable for adults and kids. The animation looks beautiful, the 3D is insightful, the characters are lovable although flat with no depth just to carry on the movie, it is enjoyable, funny and entertaining throughout. Intense at times.

While there is now technology that is terrifying, what we don't see is what we fear most, and "The Blair Witch Project" proves it. It might seem to generations that it is an old movie and a cheap one too, "The Blair Witch Project" stands out as one of the most impressive work in the horror industry, absolutely and highly recommended.

Insidious Chapter 2 is a solid follow up to it's predecessor the 2010 low budget but highly successful film, Insidious. It might be not as good as the first one, but it was up to the creep level and style of the first, with low budget considered to other horror movies, James Wan shows us what he can do with such budget, he knows where to spend money, considering that he spent a little bit more on this film. Insidious Chapter 2 has that 90's vibe to it although it is original, with SOME ideas never used before, but still there is some cliched stuff and predictable jump scares, but what is funny that you know it is coming and you know what will scare you but you still jump. The acting is good, the tension is solid at times, the effects are really good, but at most of the time it falls apart, and somehow it becomes dull and predictable. Is it better than recents (The Conjuring, You're Next)? NO. Is it worth checking it out in theaters? For the scare yes. Is it worth checking at all? if you are fan of the first one, if not I recommend The Conjuring, which is ten times better and scarier, it received an R rating for just being scary for God's Sake!

Diana is a terrible film I agree, but Naomi Watts is outstanding in this film, even though it is terribly edited, dull, long and uninteresting, I totally forgot that I am watching someone taking the roll of Princess Diana, it all seemed to me that it is a real secret footage from her life, and the editing helped to forget it is a film, because you can't figure out it is a new day or is it the same, although it gets better, but believe it is footage from her life before she died, sometimes it seemed interesting but most of the time it is silly and forgettable. I won't bother to watch Diana again, it is terrible, boring, film but seems so real. Totally a film to skip.

You can't say that The Internship is a great movie, and you can't ignore the fact that it is not that good of a comedy because you hardly laugh while watching this movie. But is it a complete bullsh**? no it is not, it is fun, entertaining and interesting. It is pleasing to the eyes to see both actors' chemistry, uproarious funny positive energy, they did whatever they can do to make this a better comedy, but did they succeed? Even these actors can't save this two hours of cliched google commercial.

All the boys love Mandy Lane is one of the cleverest, twisted movies of the year, it is super intelligent, catchy and shocking. Shock is not the only key factory for this movie, but it is Mandy Lane's character, pure who tends to stay limited, not doing any drugs or any sex, different from other teenagers. But the ending that truly sets the film for being one of the better horror movies this year, it is although predictable throughout and similar to other slasher horror movies, it is twisted and new, it can become a cult classic

I have no idea why Escape Plan is receiving negative reviews. Escape Plan is great, it is really clever and intelligent, I think that Stallone and Schwarzenegger pulled this off, they rocked. The whole plot is new and entertaining, smart and overall very funny. Escape Plan is one of the better thrillers this year (Runner Runner anyone?) it is Clever, entertaining, funny and new, I really enjoyed it, can't wait to watch it again!

Gravity is a first rate, charming but gripping complex drama, although claustrophobic, it is deep and absorbing, with dazzling effects, breathtaking performances, all in all, a fascinating, one of a kind ride, that you will stay with you for a long time. This film has real soul attached to it, you can feel the passionate making behind this film, the visuals are astonishing and look very real. The sequences are intense and **** can easily connect with the film, because of the powerful performances and the gripping sequences, it is a legendary achievement. The cinematography is spellbinding, the soundtrack is fascinating, the visuals are dazzling, the performances are powerful yet complicated and thought provoking, the direction is masterful, I think that Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity is a remarkable Hollywood invention, a gripping and intense thriller, a masterful arty direction and a film that has a real soul. This is a type of a film that doesn't come every year.

You may consider You're Next a cheesy, corny and cliched horror movie, but it is, almost, the opposite of that. You're Next is the new horror movie written by Simon Barret (V/H/S) and directed by Adam Wingard (A Horrible way to die) & (V/H/S). This movie is considered as horror, but I consider it as a dark comedy because yes, although I jumped a couple of times but I laughed much more in this movie. Most reviews are mediocre I agree, it is somehow cliched but it is more twisted, entertaining and funny than cliched, cheesy and corny. The acting is mediocre at times and at times it is somehow good. It is a fresh entry to the horror genre, and one of the better horror flicks I have seen the past recent years. I will purchase it and will watch it again.

Plush occasionally is stylish and intense, it is shocking although some aspects are predictable. Plush is an erotic thriller, from the director of "Thirteen" and unfortunately the director of "Twilight" and "Red Riding Hood". This movie is very frank for all these young actors, and dark although it must have been more of darkly funny, it is, but not enough. Plush is with no doubt one of the best movies 2013. Highly recommended, but not for everyone, but for hardcore movie goers, and art-house fans. Loved it.

Prisoners is a deep dark film, with a first rate cinematography, breathtaking performances, riveting editing, incredible dialog, and pretty much one of the best movies of all year. What makes this movie distinctive, is the opening silent sequence, the atmosphere its self, it is chilling and a gripping thriller, it is a tense talk film that kept me at the edge of my seat. It is maybe the best performance ever coming from Hugh Jackman, he is magnificent in this movie, the villains and the good ones, everyone in this movie has something wrong with them, and this is one of the things that I loved in this film. Prisoners is one of the best movies all year and highly recommended, I loved Prisoners.

Sorority Row is a throwback to the 70's and 80's slasher flicks, although not matching the same quality, it is a fun but pointless horror movie. Is Sorority Row worth watching in theaters? Maybe if with friends. The acting is mediocre, but what can we say, it is a B movie. Sorority Row delivers outdated ideas, and maybe ridiculous plot, although it is fun, it is predictable and a really B movie, you can see it through the acting, the not over all good twist, and the plot. It is a cool women horror movie, albeit predictable and average, it can be so bad it is fun/good.

Silent Hill Revelation 3D will absolutely please the fans of Silent Hill but I doubt that it will please the common movie reviewers or critics. I am a big fan of Silent Hill and I am addicted to the first Silent Hill and the video games. As a movie it is not near perfect. First of all, the script is awful and senseless, it is far away from the script and the eerie talking of Silent Hill, as for the story, it is explained more than the first, it doesn't leave anything to the imagination of the viewer, and that's make Silent Hill Revelation forgettable, the direction is really bad, because there is no actual tension during the climax, which makes us miss Christopher Gans' direction. The visuals are good but you can see and notice that Pyramid head's costume is rushed, and a proof is the trivia on IMDB. As for a movie, it is not that scary, and it is definitely not that good, sometimes it is boring and dull, but mostly, entertaining and fun. The 3D is really good, and I give them the credit for that.

Quarantine delivers outstanding performances that you can't caught the actors acting. The story is dark, twisted and claustrophobic in many ways. The movie is shocking and scary. Although I didn't have the chance to watch the original yet, but I am going to give it a solid 9.
