This is a very bad, broken and frustrating version of fifa/fc I play UT every year. This year the gameplay is extremely repetative and boring. Win or lose, you won't enjoy it. The music is really bad as well year! You will probably turn it off and play the meta in silence if you do try it. EA probably opted for a cheaper soundtrack this year. The main issue is that it isn't football. Its very scripted. Triggering runs does not always work. There are a lot of cheaters. Its just a bad game! I love a good version of fifa, but this is a very bad version of it, sadly.
Every match feels like the last one. This is garbage with decades of development. Let's hope that games like Goals can push the gameplay and give us something that at least resembles football. EA has no clue of what they are doing. This is ****

Its incredible, that a studio with such manpower, experience, resources and knowlegde can produce this garbage. Why? I don't understand. Why would they not want to invest in this title, enough to make it playable? You know they can. They know they probably should. It is a massive F U to anyone and everyone that buys this game.
Oh, and just so you know: EA pays for those critics reviews.

Assassin's Creed Shadows4

This is not the worst Assassin's Creed ever, but it is sadly a step back seen over the last few games. You simply aren't an assassin! They turned the game into a hack n' slash. Stalk your enemy, "assassinate" and they will lose a small percentage of health, and then hack and dodge for a few minutes, die and try again. Your character feel like she is the weakest of all in the game. The frustration you will feel at times, simply isn't worth it. The game is also too big and empty. Seasons sadly takes away control from the developers to make sure the game looks good, and you can tell. Screenshots from marketing feel misleading. Outfits and weapons look amazing, I have to say. It's not all bad, but it will leave you wanting. The setting is pretty good. Japan. But no ninjas; strange choice I think. They could have done so much more with tools and the environment in terms of level design, but each encounter feels pretty much the same as the last. No target will be taking a bath at a bathhouse, holding a public speach or getting drunk at a bar or hide behind guards in a bunker. No geishas, no variety in the wildlife, generic characters feels like pure copies of eachother; they all look the same! No sake, no theater, no gardeners, no mysteries, its just a bit dead. The main story is a bit weak as well.
Sorry, I really wanted this to be good. It just isn't.
Imagine all the fun they could have had here! Feudal Japan, engulfed in war, and somehow you ride through a grey, empty world, with random bandits ambushing you now and then. Okey okey, I will stop It just feels a bit forced. They should have spent another 6 months, at least on this. I think Ubisoft needed some cash badly in order to release this game at its current state. Perhaps they will patch it? I doubt it though.

I am surprised to see the low scores after playing through this game. I have not experienced the bugs that I have seen that others have encountered (ps5). Its a big world with impressive graphics. I don't enjoy the platformer gameplay elements that are added (climb and jump to the next ledge etc), as they seem added to add some exciting gameplay, but its just not that. Its not challenging in any way, so it doesn't really add anything of value. The character is ok and the pet is awesome, adding some interesting gameplay (could have been more of that added tbh). Just like earlier assassins creed games, sidequests are a bit repetative and the main story is a bit disconnected and not that strong. Ok, so whats positive then? You pilot a ship and fly between different starsystems and space stations. You encounter pirates and syndicates. I love assassins creed, and this is basically assassins creed black flag in space. I think that is the attempt, and it is not faar off. Its not 10/10, but for sure 7 or 8/10.

Gameplay is still very broken! While playing you often feel like the controls aren't working. Scripting and animations are obvious issues, but servers are another big problem. The game simply isn't very responsive. The game also often feel predetermined. After laying siege to the opponents goal, trying to score, missing open goals, not controlling the player with the ball or just encountering a super human goalie... a long distance shot from the opponent slots neatly into the top corner. This is the death of many controllers. How can a title this big, have a large element be as bad as this? Well, if the gameplay had been ok, then fine. But this game isn't worth your time. Oh, and the matchmaking is broken, so if you decide to have a go, you will only be matched against 94+ rated teams who will destroy you. Save your controller and mental health! Stay away!

Assassin's Creed Valhalla7
Dec 6, 2020
Instalments in the AC series varies a lot in quality, with games like Unity and Syndicate being two of the worst games I ever bought. I had high hopes in Valhalla after Origins and Odyssey that I think both took major steps in the right direction. But Valhalla is a step back to frustration, bugs, moving away from the shadowy creed we all love. Poor controls often let you down when sneaking and turn a game of shadows into a repetitive hack and slash bore. It would have been ok if the fighting was any good, but somehow they messed that up. Without spoiling too much, there is a place similar to that odd tropical island in RDR2 that I just can't understand why they added to the game. You play a bloodthirsty viking in a foreign land, but too often do you have to engage in politics (walk around and talk to different people) and compete in rhyme (game of words). Graphics are also a rather big step back from the latest 2 instalments that were very impressive. And don't get me started on the singing. I want to run that longboat aground as soon as the *** crew starts that tedious mumbling. Any psalm is more upbeat than that torture. Vikings high on mushrooms going on a raid, and you think that is the sort of songs they chant? I will most likely play through this one as well, but it's just due to lack of options right now. I can't keep playing dead cells forever...

Nice graphics in the core game, but the controls feel horrible. Worst is the menu that kicked off my motion sickness within seconds. Why does the camera need to move around like a freaking owl, when pointed at a static object? It's a car, we are in a garage; stand still! WHY make a horrible over-the-top pretentious intro that you can't skip? The first time user experience is only allowing player control for a few seconds before yet again explaining something that should require no explaining what so ever. I just want to step on the gas!! I really wanted to play this, but it only needed minutes to piss me off, and throw this crap in the bin.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order5

Very mediocre game. The visuals are no where near games like Uncharted (similar type of game) or Red Dead 2 (much bigger!) At times you get to see a nice vista, but areas in between look very bad. The game is also riddled with bugs, sometimes severe enough to crash. Loading times are really long. Level design lacking and challanges seem a bit scattered. Exploring the environment feels exhausting and somewhat pointless. It is Star Wars though. You play as a young jedi growing stronger over time, and you have a lightsaber. I think a lot of players are really happy about that fact, and that it has a singleplayer storymode. Me? Let Bioware create these type of games. KotOR is still a better game than this!

So sad to see Fifa losing its grip of the genre. I love football and I have played countless hours of previous versions of Fifa, and spent way too much on ultimate team. Why do EA break a game that used to be brilliant and release this crap. One of the worst matchmaking I have ever seen. Sorry for wasting money on this.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War3
Dec 31, 2017
The first installment of this franchise was fantastic in my opinion. For me this sequel was a must buy because of that. I did know about some negative reviews, but had to see for myself. Sadly, this is a really bad game, pure and simple. Something has been lost in terms of both story and gameplay. It is filled with bugs (enemies getting stuck, unable to jump down a small ledge after being teleported in through a meter thick wall?? Captains regenerating to full health when defeated, presenting themselves all over again in the middle of a battle "Hello, I Gnarg, are we doing this again?") It seems a bit like they tried to copy the later, less successful installments of Assassins creed (not origins, but the boring ones). I have spent a few hours now, and only feel frustrated and unmotivated to continue playing this sad attempt of an open world game. I hope they will get their act together and build on what they have done in the past for their next game, and just forget this failure.

Assassin's Creed Origins9
Nov 22, 2017
The entire Assassins Creed franchise has stalled a bit with its last few installs. I recall Brotherhood and Black Flag as the last ones I truly enjoyed playing, and I have bought and played all of them. This feels lie a reboot for be. The controls have changed slightly, but story and game design has been improved vastly. A free roaming world with loads of unique side quests. It does not beat Wither 3 in terms of depth and exploring, but it gets close enough for me to give it a big thumbs up. I think the user score should be in the 80+ region, and finds it difficult to understand why it is lower... sure, there are some quests that feels a bit bugged, but it would have surprised me more if there where none. For me the game is a 8/10. Trying to balance the low scores a bit with a 9. The drawbacks are AI that feels pretty low tech and suicidal at times (annoying with friendly ai) and basically all the competition that is out there. But if you played the competition and want more. Buy it.

The attempt is not bad. Its a game based on tons of fun and interesting characters. Each character has unlockable tags they can spray on walls, voicelines, victory poses, skins etc. It has quite a few levels to play in and the graphics are really nice. A great game then, by the sound of it? Well, not quite. Balance is a huge issue, matchmaking another. Level design is also poor. Game design also has its flaws, but not terrible. When matchmaking throws you into a fight, alone in your team against six in the opposing team, the round ends in just seconds and you are punished with a defeat in your "season", whatever that is... then you are left with that odd feeling (is this the beta? I paid money to play this). This is not Blizzards courtyard, yet. Once Overwatch 2 or 3 hit the shelves, I think that those might be really good games.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End7
May 24, 2016
Uncharted has in this sequel been stripped from its colorful adventurus tone and graphics. Nathan is suddenly reclined to brake any rules or stray from home, and gives the game a negative and boring feeling. Uuuh, another adventure... Towards the end the graphics gets better, and is in the dense green foliage truly quite amazing, but level design is not great. The semi open levels become a tedious shore to investigate. The epilogue introduces an intresting character. I would still hold Uncharted 2 as my favorite, an this 4th installment as my least favorite one. For the first time in the series I also experienced motion sickness! Great job on adding that to the mix ;) 7 or 8 would be my score, but I settle for 7 because I know the dogs can do better.

I am so sad I bought this game. It is horrible. I thought fifa15 was one of the worst games ever made. This is slightly better, but still among the worst games ever made. The score that "professional" reviewers give this game is for me a proof that they are bribed and not to be trusted on any review they post.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate3
Dec 31, 2015
Lots of effort has gone into creating the environment. The overall graphic result of that effort is spotless, but with a flat palette. Vista shots are rare and the environment quickly becomes repetative and a bit boring with such a narrow color palette. Gameplay can be summed up as a flood of frustration. Gameplay is also really repetative. Previous installations had repeating objectives, and that is swapped with repeating gameplay and a repearing reminder of the poor controls. With a game that designs its gameplay around fluidity of movement and the controls of your character, its an obvious problem when those two are among the weakest parts of the game and source of frustration. Hard to understand why Ubisoft chose to release the game with such major flaws in gameplay.

Great graphics, but the gameplay is just so frustrating. Your characters are weak and fighting takes ages. Animation that used to be one of the franchise strongpoints are really bad in this installment. The entire game becomes repetative efter five minutes, the fighting is tedious, the menu is a maze, its just a bad game in a very impressive package. There are plenty of better games in this genre, even earlier installments like the Black Flag.

Empire: Total War7
Aug 9, 2015
Total war has been around for quite some time, and I have bought and played all of them since the initial Shogun. The expanded campaign map is welcome and the trading ports, Naval warfare likewise. Lots of pluses that is, but there are drawbacks as well. To me, those drawbacks are "blocker bugs". Blocker bugs would be something that would prevent the game from being released. Previous Total war games has had a few, but I am amazed that a franchise that's been around for so long still has issues like this. After half an hour of navigating three ships against nine enemy ships, having one left and aaaaalmost winning the battle and the game freezes... The graphics are also quite bad. Room for improvement. Yay!

I want to give this a solid 8, but inconsistecy in the gameplay design makes it a 7, tops. You play the wonderful goblin that brings a few really nice gameplay elements to the table, with the use of amber. Long loading times and few checkpoints throughout the levels makes dying quite frustrating, since its sometimes is a bit unclear what path or action is intended in each situation. Enemies has to be approached in the "correct" manner in order for the option "kill" to appear. This results in that you at times is standing right next to your foe, without the option to kill, or any other option than to expose yourself and enter "combat", that often leads to your demise. Well even so, it is a quite nice game, free for playstation plus members.

I think this is the worst game I have ever played. Fifa 13 is in the top ten best games ever for me, but this is just rediculus. What is EA doing to this franchise? It is a bit scary to be honest. I hope for EAs sake that Fifa 16 is nothing like this laughable installment. It is worthy of an apology. Also scary is the many "professional" reviewers scoring this at an average 82/100. Clearly not thinking of the readers and people that potentially buy this product based on thier recommendation. This should impact on their credibility.

Very close call. I think it should have been a full 10/10, but some minor issues leave a tiny room for improvement. It is a huge game. Truly impressive content, that the frostbite engine manages well. Not sure of the playable races. Dwarves? The character cards artwork are amazing. For me this is in the top three for ps4 atm, along with black flag and shadow of mordor.

I knew very little of this title, but needed something for my new ps4. I was totaly blown away. The nemesis system is brilliant. The many characters show lots of variation. Great story. The assassins creed franchise has had its ups and downs. The previous, 3rd installment failed to keep me interested, as it was the first I did not play through. This one however, is well worth playing. The story is rather weak, but the universe is gripping and very well made. Next to The Shadow of Mordor, this is the best ps4 game in my little collection (so far).
