Ugh, just say no. It was like a poorly acted 70s show where all the characters were gender swapped and the writers….where to begin. The jokes didn’t land. It was clearly written by people who grew up watching Saved By the Bell and played just like that show. It literally made me feel uncomfortable as if it was not written for me , but was instead written for tweens which is weird because , as a huge 70’s Show fan, I should have been their target audience . The only good part of the show was Red and Kitty. No edge, no physical comedy, no ribald silliness, just lame and sad. I gave it 1 point for Red and Kitty. Made it through episode three. Maybe it suddenly got new writers and improved after **** I doubt it. RIP 70s Show, they never knew ye

I honestly don’t understand all the 10s and 0s. The show is gorgeous. The acting is great. The activism is annoying, but not too much of a sledgehammer. The problem with season 1 is that is it basically a Soap Opera with lots of talking, scheming, betrayal and girl drama. Sigh. Where are my hunky barbarians? Outside of the dragons, there is nothing numinous about their world and nothing to care about or fight for other than power. It’s not terrible, it’s just a big disappointment when compared with its elder brother.

I’m hooked. I just finished episode 5 and can’t wait for the next episode. My husband and I are both sci fi fans but finding a really good show is difficult these days. This fits the bill. It’s clever, suspenseful and has a well paced gripping story. There is enough drama and action to prevent it from being too cerebral, but enough science to make it wonderfully interesting. I really hope that it ends well. It’s too dark for a second season I think.

We turned it off before the end of episode one. I’m so very tired of stereotypes and caricatures. Daniels was fine. The acting overall was fine, but the writing was disappointing.

It kept me engaged. Creepy vibe with a slow burn. An odd LGBT story line shoe-horned in. Really hope there is a season 2 because it ended on a bit of a cliff hanger

CGI landscapes were beautiful. Some of the first age description was accurate. I wish we had gotten to see that show. Anyway, some of the character changes (Galadriel) were a bridge too far. Galadriel was a powerful witch, not a warrior. The troll scene was CRINGE. Don’t change beloved characters. Just invent new ones if you want a more modern take. Also, if you are going to spend almost a billion dollars, why not get a couple of big stars to do more of the heavy lifting? I wish they’d just been honest and hadn’t included any of Tolkien’s characters or places but had instead just called it a new world “inspired by Middle Earth”. If this was an original show my review might have been higher.

Smart, action packed thriller. The first episode was so intense that I was completely exhausted by the end. They did a great job leaving us with enough ambiguity that we’re not certain whether there is a conspiracy or if the main character is just suffering from a traumatic brain injury . You are also left with a lot of compassion for both our servicemen and for the members of the press that both want the best for their country.

Slow **** patient and enjoy the ride. Spacek and Simmons are out of this world. This is a Sci Fi mystery yes, but it is so much more. While you are bonding with the characters you are learning lessons about life, and love. There is a sadness hanging over everything in this story, but also hope. I need to know what happens next. Where will they take us?
