This is not just another remake - it's a super polished experience with brilliant controls, score and visuals. I was worried that the game would feel like a detailed version of the original, but this is a proper rollercoaster that stands on its own legs while being inspired by the level-design of the original. Will be re-playing this over and over - it even has a main-campaign Co-Op mode. Highly recommended!

Perfect antigravity racer for 1-4 players! WipeOut + 4Player splitscreen on a portable console at 60FPS and it looks and plays fantastic. It's also extremely reasonably priced and I personally don't miss the WipeOut combat mechanics - you'll have your hands busy with hovering alone, trust me. Oh, and: It's got a brilliant D&B feelgood soundtrack that's exceptionally well mixed. Well done guys!
Can't think of any downsides at this pricepoint.

This game would have needed more time in development. I was really interested in how the developers solved all the gameplay problems with high speeds, wide open terrains, upside-down driving, player collisions and so on... Turns out: They didn't. This game is massively unbalanced and the controls, camera, UI, physics, gamedesign, trackdesign and sound are really flawed. Pure luck decides if you win or lose. It's a bit like tossing a coin into one of those coin-based slot machines at the arcades - physics will bounce the coin around but you're mostly out of control... If you, like myself, enjoy fast sci-fi racing, go for "Fast RMX" instead and if you can't live without guns and rockets then stick to "Wipeout". This game would have needed another year in development and a lot more user-testing.

Very addictive and perfectly executed game. Sound design, soundtrack, controls, level of difficulty, presentation and art style are all spot on. If you like puzzle games, chances are you'll love this one. It's a small game and priced accordingly. Hopefully the developers will add additional downloadable content soon. The one criticism I have is: Once you finished the "special boss-battle puzzles" it would be nice to have a little payoff for it. Ideally the creature would reflect that you've beaten it / solved its puzzles. But a little trophy would do as well. We need more games like Hexologic! Looking forward to whatever comes next. J.
