This game is one of the most original and amazing games ever created. I wish the devs would hire the guy who made the Multiverse mod and create FTL 2. Playing on the PC is slightly less fun than on the iPad as the controls are even more smooth, but there is no Multiverse on the iPad. Please make multiverse for iPad. Please make FTL 2.
Appreciate that Void War takes a lot of liberties from FTL. FTL was so good and left a huge void for FTL 2. Wish they had copied FTL even more, as I will explain. Game Mechanics: Cons: The individual characters don't seem to have specific skills like in FTL like combat, Engines, repairs.
Pros: They improved the board an enemy ship. Graphics and Aesthetic:
Cons: The Old English letters and the "ancient & archaic" vibe doesn't sit right with a space game. The art is a bit dark, too old appearing, and lethargic. I understand Starwars is "A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away" but the aesthetic is energetic, upbeat, advanced, mysterious, saavy, heavy with lore, full of surprises. This gets a 10 because I'm really hoping there are more people who try to copy FTL and improve upon the formula. Wish the Multiverse Mod creator would create a game. I've only made it through one sector and its blown my my mind. That is a 20/10. Highly recommend playing this. Devs stop making games that are not as fun like Into the Breach and give some love to your fan base and make FTL 2 please.
Never have I felt like a wizard as much as when I played this game, despite all the diablos, baldurs, d&ds, WoWs, souls, etc... When I think of wizards, i imagine a dude with a staff doing complicated sigils to cast spells...well there might be a few spell components thrown into a cauldron too, but this game truly captures your imagination of what it would be like (minus the components part) as you're a wizard in real time battles demanding. I get if you don't have much hand dexterity or drawing ability, this game can be overwhelming in the long run, but if you fancy yourself a bit skillful with the hands and imagine what its like for a d&d or potter wizard during a battle waving wands fast as they can to cast spells, like fireballs and ice or stone walls, summoning different monsters to your aid, this would be very similar. Despite these these innocent looking heroes, and not so scary looking monsters, these battles are the most intense and challenge you to your limit, particularly in online battles and battles with your friends. I played this quite a bit with my cousin years ago and it was a really fond memory.
After finally having some free time after taking a consuming board exam, i went and bought a lot of games; None of them really scratched the itch I was looking for...including baldurs 3, no man sky, armored core 6, diablo 4, (yet another zombie game came close), and about 20 other games. This has this kingdom rush feel as you upgrade; you know each upgrade does something special, not like a skill point...although the New Vegas skill points have a good feel. For me this gave a very original vibe, despite replicating the joys of some marquee games. Essentially you're dropped off on a planet to mine. As you mine your home base gets attacked. So you juggle defending your base with mining. In between there's numerous and a very creative wide array or upgrades (nearly as wide as d4) that are tremendously refreshing compared to the D4 upgrades, where you have to have to follow guides to get something that will carry you through further stages because what the upgrade actually does is vague and modestly increase damage in a vague way, but these upgrades make you feel like you understand the decision you're **** the gadgets you pick up on the annoying stat boosts you see in D4, but do something game-changing. This game is a great time. I did notice some of the other less stellar-reviews saying not enough content, or getting repetitive and that may be true as I've only played for a few hours Update: Been playing this all night and its still pretty fun. But yes, if they added story it'd be better. But gameplay is 10/10
It's pretty fun, original. Dave the Diver is probably better....I've only played this a few hours and the whole demo previously. I can't see it being better that "dave" and that is still early access. But it's creative and fun enough. Hopefully they make a better sequel w a better budget

5 seconds in and i could tell i was back at home. The music, the clunky running, the way the monsters move, its all there. This isn't the one with the horrible double jump from snes. This captures the feel of the original, the nes, the genesis versions. I am pumped to play more. I recommend playing on the easiest setting on your first playthrough.
After just playing through the whole series of 4 kingdom rush games again for the 3rd or 4th time I think vengeance is the best in the series. While the elven theme in Origins was my favorite theme, this game added many new mechanics that were fun like leveling the heroes and different towers. The thing I didn't like is that they took away upgrades for individual towers, and grouped tower upgrades into one group, hero upgrades into another group, then spell upgrades, and then the reinforcements upgrade..taking away individual tower upgrades largely subtracted from the nostalgic experience. It would have been cool if kept those upgrades and gave more upgrade points. They introduce of bit of branching in the upgrade **** very little and too conservative. However these multiple changes add up to make for some thing that at its core is kingdom rush, but an overall increase in gameplay and fun, as a sequel ought to be. These guys are the best at tower defense games. I hope they make more and bring back the individual tower upgrades. I'm kind of wary of their new turn based games... I also got their iron marines game...that game was probably the least fun of their games, but decent considering there aren't many similar games like it on ios.
Love that druckman doesnt bend the knee like blizzrd or other companies about the quarterly. Game has a lot of soul humility humanity...love. I think it’s a bit harder for ppl who havnt seen enough hardship to take in. sympathize with that, yet its it’s nice to see fruitcakes squirm a little. For all the gay pride this game touts it’s as gutsy and gangster as a Game has been made beyond gta. Tlou2 defies stereotypes And is actually a needed reminder that we can enjoy on our couch for the consequeces Of the roads we can take. i think something would be lost if everyone enjoyed the game like WOW tried to do

It has a bit of a learning **** too steep, but while I almost gave up to go study, several external circumstances kept me going. Unfortunately for my studies, now I am hooked. Take the time to google a few tips to get you started in understanding the basics of the game. Once you get that, the real game begins to emerge, and man is it a dragon. I'd expect nothing less from the creators of FTL. Thank you for another amazing game. If you like chess or advance wars...this is like chess on steroids.

Good Story touches on a lot of human themes that has an eye on the big picture, gets you stirred up. Slightly cheesy characters and dialogue, yet very deep and well developed characters. Good music. Good Combat, yet simple enough. I can't imagine who wouldn't enjoy this game.
